This had become my treat-myself place. Tommy is a great guy, and is all about doing things right. Drove around Poway looking for a Barber open for my senior Dad and saw a Barber chair on the sidewalk. Very convenient parking in same shopping center as 5 Guys. From the time we asked Thomas Gutierrez if he could give my Dad a haircut until we left, my Dad was taken well care of! So happy Thomas was there in front of his shop waiting for a customer. This will be a part one review on Tommy's shop since he's operating outside of normal conditions. To start off Tommy is a great human and an even better barber. It's great that you can sit down and talk about life knowing that the haircut will come out as you ask for. The better part for me is consistency, you may get a great cut here and there but Tommy does it the same way every time! The outside shop is a great setup, I would like to even see him continue this down the line. Side note, I am excited to see his plans come to reality about the shop experience once he can go indoors. Honestly just received the worse cut of my life. I'm not trying to sound bitter but when you go in just wanting to clean it up, and make it look better, and you come out with way shorter hair, and it doesn't look like anything you wanted it's a huge disappointment. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and communicated but she kind of did what she wanted. She seemed more focused on talking with the people that kept walking in and out of there. She was nice but that the only positive thing I have to say. And 45 dollars for a cut is ridiculous, I don't mind paying it, but the least she could do is listen to what I wanted. read more

My sons and husband all got cuts here today. Great experience, outdoor and masks worn, lots of precautions taken for sanitizing and cleanliness. My kids had awful haircuts given to them by me during quarantine and now they look great!! Husband also very happy with his cut. My step father has been going to Tommy for his haircuts. He is really particular about his cuts and he will never go to anyone else since he found Tommy. We learned that Tommy does facials so my mom and I got ours today. The facials are 1 hour long. There are many to choose from and we picked the moisturizing type.
