Went back a few weeks ago and there was an older man with long beard on the phone. All I saw was a 4' square frag tank that was pretty dirty and no other salt fish. Freshwater tanks were dirty. I hung around for 5 minutes hoping to ask a question about when they order salt fish but he never got off the phone. I finally left and won't go back. He could have at least said hold on I'll be right with you but he barely looked at me and didn't acknowledge me at all.

Great store with a great staff…read more This is one of our favorite aquarium stores ANYWHERE. The selection is good, prices decent, and staff is excellent. They are very knowledgeable about both fresh and saltwater aquariums and fish. VERY helpful, too- And not nearly as pretentious as the staff in a lot of stores. This is one of the few stores that my wife and I both feel comfortable asking questions in- Unlike a lot of places, they are patient with beginners... Some people realize that not EVERYONE is an expert, and that, at one time, they didn't know everything! Livestock is healthy and well cared for. I would not hesitate to buy from them. They have an excellent selection of Corals- Just about anything you would want. And- The advice to go with it! They've got several display tanks there that show the potential for your own tank- In fact, we're using one of their tanks as an inspiration for what we want to do with our own reef tank. I hired Aquatic Marine to install and setup a tank in my home and was promised "magazine quality"…read more Nearly a year later, we weren't close. I became frustrated with the tank when there was no end in sight, the work was chaotic, scheduling was near impossible, and I discovered that even after paying for routine maintenance none of my equipment had been properly maintained. I decided it would be easier to just start over with a smaller tank, so I gifted my larger tank to the owner, Kinny Parrott, and purchased a much smaller tank that I thought would be easier for them to actually finish and gave them a chance to live up to what they had promised. He and his service manager agreed with no hesitation to store my equipment and livestock until the new tank was cycled and ready to be setup. Instead, they misplaced half my livestock and his service manager came by one evening without any notice and dropped the rest of my fish into the tank before it was cycled and my gem tang and yellow tang both ended up dying. I sought out help from the store to try and save the rest of my fish, and an hour later, received a call from Kinny stating he was firing me because I was bad-mouthing him to his employees which was not the case. He lacks professional courtesy and the skills to deal with any sort of conflict and is one-sided in his beliefs. His communication style is quite aggressive and dismissive, which makes it hard to have an open and honest conversation with him. He proceeded to yell at me and told me that they would not be doing my install anymore and he was not going to return any of my equipment. He threatened us with attorneys and blamed me for being "too hands on with my tank" and said I had unrealistic expectations. He yelled at me on 2 different occasions using me as a scapegoat for both his personal and business issues and never offered an apology for unleashing on me. For months, he had told me that his service manager was overloaded, overworked, and on the verge of burnout and promised changes that never came. When our relationship ended, I was left feeling like their internal problems were passed onto me and I was fired as a result. When I got upset over being fired for no reason and him holding my equipment hostage, I got mad and Kinny proceeded to tell my wife that I must be bipolar. He finally agreed to return a fraction of my equipment after a battle, and several parts were still missing. He still has thousands of dollars worth of my equipment in his possession not including the tank. After gifting him a new tank, purchasing another tank without asking for any sort of discount, and spending thousands of dollars at his store, I was left feeling incredibly taken advantage of. I could go on and on about the customer service, problems that occurred during our time together, and retracted promises, but am hopeful that this brief glimpse into my experience will help prevent someone else from being lied to and taken advantage of. I had been warned about getting involved with Aquatic Marine, and looking back, I wish I had heeded the advice.

We have been loyal customers for almost 15 years until yesterday. I came in about a year ago with…read morean angel fish that we wanted to hand over for store credit (it's mate had died and we wanted it to be with other angel fish rather than be alone) and received $15 store credit for it. Last week sometime we stopped for some supplies and asked if we could bring in another angel fish and they said we could do the same thing. So yesterday, we brought the fish in a bag and I handed it to a woman and she put it in a tank to float. Later, I saw the guy I had talked to last week who said I could bring the fish in and told him I'd brought the fish and waited for him to bring the papers to fill out to get my store credit. Apparently, they said I had "surrendered the fish" and kept arguing that I had handed the fish over to them, no store credit. Later, another older man came by and said that I'd needed to bring a picture of the fish before confirming they'd give me store credit for it, so therefore it was a surrendered fish. The rest of the time we were there, nearly everyone avoided us and didn't want to talk to us, and we left without our angelfish. What a way to lose business.
