    Chicken Katsu Rice Bowl
    Carly K.

I've heard great things about The Angry Korean, so we decided to try it out for a late lunch on a Friday. I was kind of surprised to see it absolutely empty except for us. If you're paying with a card you put in your order through tablets. Everything seems to be an additional cost. The food was very fresh, big portions, great sauces and solid flavor. Price point was $40+ for 2 people (Both chicken katsu rice bowls with fried egg, one had the veggie mandoo & salad.) Looked like there was only one person working and they were quite standoffish and annoyed when we asked for a water cup.

We got the Fried Katsu chicken sandwich, Korean Cheesesteak sandwich, Korean chicken fries and a side of cucumber kimchi. Fried Katsu sandwich was 2/5, it was bland, soggy and dripping w sauce. Cheesesteak was decent 2/5 but didn't taste like Korean or Korean fusion anything. Cucumber kimchi was disgusting, soggy, mushy, didn't taste like it was a kimchi but tasted like cucumbers that were just doused in vinegar and their own water drained out of them. I eat all kinds of kimchi and that was not a kimchi. The chicken fries were supposed to be Korean fried crispy chicken on top of fries w a sweet sauce and some type of mayo sauce. Instead we received a container of mushy soggy chicken DOUSED in way too much sugary sweet syrup, no other sauce, on top of limp soggy fries. It was inedible. You order at a kiosk, they call your name and you pick up your food from a window. It's all self serve, you even bus your own tables. So there was no customer service. Bc the inside is spartan and unwelcoming we ordered to go and food took about 20 minutes. I eat a lot of Korean food and this didn't remind me of Korean food. It was poorly executed and also just bad tasting.

The Angry Korean BBQ 6945 S 1300th E, Midvale, UT Beef Bulgogi Bowl: Tender, flavorful beef with a golden egg, mondo, and sweet potato noodles. A must-try symphony of flavors! Chicken Katsu Sandwich: Crispy, succulent chicken on soft buns with fresh veggies and tangy sauce. A crowd-pleaser! Verdict: The Angry Korean BBQ is a flavor haven you can't miss! Perfect for: Lunch/Dinner Price: $-$$ (depends on how many add-ons you do.) *Helpful hint: We could have shared one bowl and been fine! They are generous serving sizes! Sharing a bowl and a sandwich had us stuffed! #eathereutah

Delicious! I wish they had - location closer to where I live, but it's absolutely worth the drive. The portions are very large. I tried the Veggie Mandoo and Fried Sweet & Tangy Chicken Bowl (added egg & noodles), and both tasted amazing -- so much flavor! Will definitely come back and try other items on the menu.

Food was amazing. Cost a lot, but you get a lot of food. I'd say it was worth it, I'd bring a friend here. The service was... there wasn't. You have to order through an ipad on a countertop. Lots of notes strewn around directing you around, kinda felt like I was taking a test in school. Still amazing, and I'd still come back.

Loved my meal. The Philly cheese was incredible. Unlike anything I've had for Korean. I would highly recommend

They traveled really well which is something I always look for in Carrie out items. The guy at the counter was nice. I haven't been here in a while. When I walked in it looked the same. I had takeout but it would have been fine eating there. You can always find a spot to sit. I couldn't tell you more because I was in and out within 5 minutes.

Only reason I haven't been back is because eating out is a whole-family decision. What you get at Bumblebees is, in my opinion, a rare and odd fusion of foods that loosely fall into the realm of Bulgogi and Primanti Brothers (think fries plus bulgogi). The interior is appropriately dive-y. The service isn't surprising or especially fast (I recall it being respectable), but...that unique combination is only akin to having chili Mac (chili over spaghetti) from Hard times in DC. So...it's in that vein of highly flavored meat over a base starch that is cooked in such a way as to carry the flavor and not hamper it...every time I drive by, I wish my family liked spicy things more - it's totally worth it!!

Overall 5/5: Wow! This was a fun place to eat at. I definitely recommend people to try this place…read moreout. The place was clean. Food was fresh. There were so many options. Price was cheaper than other comparable AYCE hot pot places in NYC at 30.99 for standard tier and even a 23.99 weekday lunch deal which is a steal. This place was truly felt like a slice of New York City on our vacation BUT unlike NYC, the service was so friendly. Tip was included in the bill so we accidentally tipped again. We didn't know this until the manager came out and insisted she return the extra tip. If this is not a testament to great service, I don't know what is. Ambiance 5/5: Everything was clean. The place was large so tables were adequately spaced. Place was well lit. Warm decor and colors. Service 5/5: Great service. People were welcoming. Staff were stationed around the self serve bar to assist customers. Manager was super nice and even returned money to us when we accidentally double tipped. Food 5/5: They have A LOT of options here. There were two pricing tiers. Premium was 36.99 and standard was 30.99. Premium offered cuts of wagyu, shrimp paste, and leg of lamb for every 2 persons in your party. I felt like I would've been happy with just the standard tier since there was more than enough food. They have a self serve cotton candy machine, soda machine, make your own BOBA station, and ice cream. Even without the hot pot, there were AYCE pre-cooked entrees at the bar including soup, noodles, fried/plain rice. Also had AYCE appetizers like fries and fried chicken. The raw station for the hot pot included noodles, seafood, and veggies. Everything was fresh, clean, and delicious so you can't go wrong with this place.

My only disappointment is that they don't serve tom yum as a broth option like other happy lamb locations but that's not much of a big deal.
