Kind staff, great food, gave my brother a free mochi icecream for his birthday along with a keychain! That was unexpected but so kind. Ambiance was very chill, would go here again. 10/10 This was the Ombu in Midavle btw!

This place has been a go to for my family for a while now. Their service is pretty quick and you have a wide variety of meats and items that you can order. My favorite is the thin sliced beef. The price is good for what you can get and I would recommend coming if you love K-BBQ!!

I am so surprised this place has 2 stars!! Favorite KBBQ spot. Me and squad go to Korean bbq at least 3 times a month and ombu has been my favorite. We come a LOT so I feel like ya'll can trust me lol. Plus it's like $25 for all you can eat, hello! First of all, it's really clean. It's also really big so I feel like it doesn't get too loud. Service is so fast, almost scary fast lol. The staff are always so sweet and helpful. Or favorites are the pork belly, short rib, prime beef brisket, chicken cutlet (my #1), and the filet steak. The fried rice are also good, honestly I haven't had anything I didn't like. 10/10 recommend!

I'd give this * * * * Four Stars (it would easily get 5 if the service waiters wasn't overwhelmed / understaffed and came around quicker and more frequently) Being from California, I can appreciate that the AYCE Prices here are about 30-40% lower than what we pay in CA, and the meat selection was good and good quality cuts too, no relegated to junky fatty or weak scrap meat that many other Korean AYCE restaurants relegate their customers to choosing from. I think this is a very good place for eating and families. The staff were friendly and professional, just not organized or attentive (neglecting coming through with items ordered or checking in to honor the AYCE spirit by coming by to add to our table's orders proactively (we have to flag them down and even remind them of what we'd not received yet). Overall, its a minor inconvenience as far as the waiting game for food, as eventually and ultimately you will get your food and be satisfied, full or even stuffed as you leave. I'd highly recommend this spot if you have the time and appetite.

Ombu is alright. That sentence about sums it up, but I'll write a little more. I would love to have rated it 3 and a half stars, but I rounded up-I try to err on the side of giving the benefit of the doubt whenever possible. First of all, the selection is pretty good-you can choose from a menu of 50 items; they ask that you limit yourself to four to begin with to avoid wasting food. I'm glad I followed that guidance, because that was all I could eat. The food comes out very quickly and is presented nicely. If you've never been to a Korean BBQ place, you might be a little lost. There were no instructions given other than how much to order-beyond that, you're on your own. Here's some tips for first timers: when the food is brought out, the server will turn on the grill in the middle of the table. Use the metal tongs to put the raw food on the grill-keep it closer to the middle/top since that's where all the heat is. Use the chopsticks to pick up the cooked food to avoid cross-contamination. The lighting is pretty poor, which makes it tricky to see if the meat is done. The quality of the food was ok. The edamame seemed a little old and wilted, with very little flavor. But some of the meat was pretty good. We were given sauces and seasonings, but weren't sure what they were, since there was no explanation given. Maybe it's assumed that people should just know. Our drinks were filled throughout the meal, and my wife ended up ordering a couple more items, which were brought out quickly. They did also switch out the grill twice during the duration of the meal. We didn't feel rushed to get out of there, but also didn't feel like anyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We even explained that it was our first time, hoping to get some sort of direction, but none was given. The bathrooms were incredibly dirty, as others have said. To me, this is a big reflection on how they maintain the entire facility-if the bathrooms are gross, what does the kitchen look like? Overall, Ombu is alright, like I said before. It's not amazing, but it's not horrible. With a little attention to the details, this could be great!

Price wise compared to other Korean bbq was on the cheaper end. But it makes sense why. I feel like the OMBU downtown area was better when I originally tried it. This one in midvale was okay.. but don't think I'd come here again. We were seated at a table with horrible lighting... there was soooo many other tables around light available. Thus making it extremely difficult to see if our meat was fully cooked or not. The grill itself also seemed not to be very hot so it took forever for the meat to cook. The meat we ordered seemed to lack flavor and some of it was so tough to eat. Wasn't a big fan of it. It seemed like all the meat had same taste.... Bland even ones that did come seasoned. I did not like that they had little to none sides offered like you would normally see. They did have a selection on their appetizers. I liked their tokoyaki those were good. Other than that their pork fried rice was good. Soup that is like tofu spicy soup again had little flavor it was not good.. Overall my experience unfortunately wasn't the greatest. The best thing was probably they fried rice and the fact that the food came out quickly. Other than that it was not the best. Meat had hardly any flavor and there wasn't as much of a selection as I thought. Maybe in the future they will had more flavors and have better quality of meats.

Long lines for a Friday night. Took an hour to get seated for 3. WELL worth the wait! Great service great price. So many options!

This is an excellent all you can eat Korean BBQ place. It's incredibly reasonably priced at just $21 for the dinner option that includes 50 items. They also have excellent boba that you can get as well. I got the traditional boba and it was sweetened perfectly with nice, chewy, fresh boba. On to the meal itself. The banchan (side dishes) are very limited. There is kimchi, cucumbers, seaweed salad, and a potato in sweet sauce. The items on the menu include a huge variety of appetizers, meats, and rice/noodle dishes. You can find the full menu on their website. We started off with your standard beef brisket and pork belly. The quality of meat was actually much higher than I was expecting. The meat was very flavorful, and there were a few sauces to dip them in. The pork belly was extremely fatty and melted as you ate it. We then moved on to the marinated items - beef bulgogi, beef tenderloin in a sweet sauce, and bone-in beef galbi. The beef galbi was amazing. A huge strip was brought to us and was easy to cut once it started cooking. It was extremely tender and the galbi sauce was sweet and fragrant. The beef bulgogi was solid as I expected - the meat was tender since it had been marinated. We tried the beef tenderloin which was surprisingly great. Cubes of beef were grilled to a perfect medium rare consistency, with a nice charred exterior. Final meat we had was beef tongue. This was so flavorful and tender, and I highly recommend getting this and not skipping out on it. We got an excellent kimchi fried rice that was filled with egg and spices. The vinegar-y, crunchy kimchi was a nice juxtaposition to the oily, hardy eggs and rice. The soft tofu and kimchi soup had great flavor and was nice to sip on throughout. We never made it to their other appetizers and meats as we were stuffed, but we were very pleased overall. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout, changing our grill multiple times.

Korean BBQ restaurants are popping up left and right, and with so many options out there, restaurants are doing what they can to up their game. What I found most attractive about OMBU were their prices and selection of meats and cooked dishes. Korean BBQ dinner for $21.99 all-you-can-eat is pretty darn cheap. I'm from California and prices there are significantly higher, so I don't know if this is the average price in Utah (I'm visiting and this is my first Korean BBQ restaurant). Friends treated me to dinner, and boy did we eat a lot! The items we devoured ranged from an assortment of beef and pork to shrimp, grilled mackerels, clay pot rice, cold soba noodles, cream cheese wontons, fried cheese rolls, tofu soup, cheese corn, fried chicken wings, takoyaki, and pork cutlets. The meats were fresh and plentiful and most of the dishes were great too! For this, they deserve a rating. On the downside, we arrived at dinner early, around 5:30pm, and they were already out of calamari. I felt this may have been poor planning on management's part. If it's later in the evening then I can understand being sold out on a particular menu item, but 5:30pm is too early for that excuse. I felt they just chose not to serve calamari, not that they ran out. For this, I'm docking one star, so they're down to . Also, I wasn't particularly impressed that a Korean restaurant was so limited on side dishes. Maybe it's a California thing, but I'm accustomed to having more side dishes such as Korean pancake, tofu fish cakes, pickled bean sprouts, potato salad, steamed egg, and salad. All they had were kimchi, pickled radish, seaweed, and spicy cucumber. The cheese corn came wrapped in foil and served on a hot plate, and we waited for the cheese to melt but it never quite made it to that melting point. Maybe it was the cheese used, but I found it rather clumpy and not "cheesy" at all. The tofu soup was rather bland in taste and not something I would recommend ordering. All the Korean restaurants I've been to always made their tofu soup with silken tofu, but this tofu was different in texture. It was soft, but not silken. The limited side dishes, non-cheesy cheese corn, and bland tofu soup brings down another star, so now it's a rating. If all you care about is the meat, then definitely come here. They have a great selection and for $21.99 dinner price, you can eat to your heart's desire. Lunch is only $15.99, cheaper than a bowl of ramen! The selection of meat is great and the quality is definitely there! The restaurant is very clean and tables are nicely spaced apart. In a time when COVID still exists, it's comforting to dine at a restaurant where you're not elbow to elbow with other diners. The wait staff were all masked. Overall, I felt the food and service were average. While they were not bad in any way, they just did not meet my level of expectation and I was not particularly wowed. This restaurant is a good choice for meat eaters who don't care for side dishes. I just happen to prefer a full range of side dishes and expect selections on the menu to be available if I'm early for dinner.

Only reason I haven't been back is because eating out is a whole-family decision. What you get at Bumblebees is, in my opinion, a rare and odd fusion of foods that loosely fall into the realm of Bulgogi and Primanti Brothers (think fries plus bulgogi). The interior is appropriately dive-y. The service isn't surprising or especially fast (I recall it being respectable), but...that unique combination is only akin to having chili Mac (chili over spaghetti) from Hard times in DC. So...it's in that vein of highly flavored meat over a base starch that is cooked in such a way as to carry the flavor and not hamper it...every time I drive by, I wish my family liked spicy things more - it's totally worth it!!
