    Two egg breakfast

We are regulars of Angry Egg 2. I love the convenience of ordering from DoorDash! It is nice to have a local place that uses this service especially with kid friendly food. You can feed a lot of people and share items easily the portions are huge and healthy!

So disappointed! Was excited for a breakfast burrito and the online ordering option was very convenient. However, I could not eat my Emma burrito due to the rotting avocado (I think it was actually guacamole) on my burrito. I ignored the fact that there wasn't any bacon on my nearly $10.00 burrito, but couldn't stomach the weird flavor...when I looked closer it was evident that the avocado had gone bad and was used anyway...as it was brown/gray throughout the burrito (not just a spot or two). There's a large difference between oxidation (still not great to serve, in my opinion, and going bad) this was bad. The three stars are for the friendliness at pickup, the okay other breakfast sandwich (bacon-which may have been Canadian bacon or ham? And was full of fat- egg, and cheese on an English muffin), and the tater tots that were surprisingly full of flavor! It looks like many others had a better experience so hoping it was an off day and may give it another try in a few months!

Extensive breakfast menu includes: breakfast corn dogs! Fluffier-but stuffed pancakes! Waffle sammiches!

Once upon a time, this Faerie Queen needed a place to land for a good hearty breakfast. This place was the perfect destination! The extensive breakfast menu is what dreams are made of for us Faerie Foodies! The eggs are great, but the peanut butter, Nutella, mallow- fluff pancake were a culinary inspiration. Just like the famous "Alice's Restaurant," you can get just about anything you want here. This place is a must!

Came here on a whim for breakfast after voting for the primary. The place is nicely decorated though humid when we ate here. The service is a little slow due to the fact that only 2 ladies working. Bussing, taking orders and serving. Saw customers waiting to be seated left. Now the food was good. It came out hot. My bacon cheeseburger omelette was tasty. My only complaint the place was very humid. We started to sweat. I will definitely come back and try other food on the menu. I heard they will open for dinner soon.

We really enjoyed our breakfast (the music was fun and the noise level was nice. Chicken (really good) and waffles was terrific and flavorful. Served with a nice side of fresh berries. The home fried potatoes were so yummy and had a good amount of seasoning. Loved the Angry Egg Roll. What a terrific idea...a crisp wrap with scrambled egg and meat. Perfect size paired with a fruit cup. Also, coffee was good as was service. Phyllis up front was doing a good job balancing grumpy customers who were annoyed about the wait. It's a hard time keeping staff on board. Most service industries are having a hard time staffing up. Let's try to be patient...they have a comfy couch for waiting for your table.

In Bennington randomly for a doctor's appointment with my son. Reached for Yelp to guide us for a…read morebrunch-time sandwich - this led us here. Outside looked like a furniture/nicknack store. Typical "I love VT" t shirts and stuffies in the window, $400 syrup, and artsy cards and candles etc. Making our way to the back was a small nook of seats and tables and a breakfast/sandwich/bagel menu. To say we were skeptical was an understatement. My son ordered a Southwestern steak and egg sandwich on a rainbow bagel. I had a dill pickle chicken salad sandwich on an everything bagel. Add in a coffee, a hot chocolate, two cans of Diet Coke (and a small cheesecake round for my son) and we were all set. Menu was way more reasonably priced than we expected. Average bagel sandwich (which they fill amply) was roughly $10. All of the fillings were very good. Well seasoned. Creative. Again, exceeded our initial expectations. Even the bagels were surprisingly good. Please note I grew up in NJ so a bagel is essentially unattainable to me north of the Tappanzee Bridge. I was expecting "airport quality," however, it was not half bad. Chewy and tasty for the area. Service left me with two very distinct feelings. 1) the people were AWESOME. Friendly, attentive, seemingly happy to be at work (a rarity). But... 2) there were 6 total customers in the store (some simply reading books) and yet it took 16 minutes for our coffee and hot chocolate and roughly 30 for the sandwiches. Was so weird to experience the quiet of the store - yet the ticket time and wait of a bustling morning at a deli. Oh well. Was a pleasant place to be. Will likely find a different place next week following our upcoming appointment. But was not mad at the experience.

Worst experience in Bennington! Do not patron if you enjoy…read moreany level of hospitality & actual value. I came in cheerful & this guy ruined the day... I ended up leaving angry and literally cried.... Their online ordering has a Reuben with an option for $2 extra meat & a note box so I cld have written there asking for the extra portion on the side. EASY. Yet, I went in person to see what the specials were hoping for a great lunch, because Im here for medical procedures at the hospital and had fasted since the day before. Id never been to The Elm Street Market before, but it was close to the hospital, & love Vermont markets for all the years I have lived here. But THIS place :: T E R R I B L E mistake! The employee at the counter was as fake & uncaring as it gets, & shld definitely not be the customer guy. He would not just let the added side be $2 , but wanted to weigh it out & charge me for a deli style $6 sliced side in a package as an addition to the $14 sandwich. ($20 Reuben?!) I said I didn't need or expect a package of sliced cold meat, that I was just adding the side portion to share with my pups. For Lunch. He just becomes patronizing, dense, & fully lacking capacity or willingness to help and says he "can't bc it just doesn't work that way" unless I get it on the sandwich. I cld order it online but not with him at register. And for some reason he cant figure out a $2 portion of meat. Surreal Incompetence. The next level of downhill not-so-fun is seeing the tiny soup. A cup of soup for $8. A latte "special" that I cld not even taste the smoked maple flavor and was only 3/4 full. It's actually shocking- what happened to actually CARING about just helping ppl have a good experience if you are working in the restaurant business as a small local independent market? Hey Elm Street Market Fella, you cld do the simplest things like not try ripping ppl off & being kind! His patronizing attitude & lack of capacity really took it over the top- how am I supposed to enjoy this $36 ordeal? Supposedly he is refunding the meat, bc I explained I didn't order a package of meat. He took it out of bag & literally said "take your sandwich & drink & go". I was upset~ I said this is truly unacceptable ~ try some Kindness & Authenticity! And left. The other young lady who was working that day & witnessed this whole debacle seemed to feel bad making 'Im So Sorry' faces. She at least offered me a dollop of maple syrup & noted the drink was not filled~ but also was being oppressed by his attitude. I cld tell he was being an overbearing tyrant. Wtf - this is NOT Vermont as it should be DUDE. All it took was putting a few slices on the side for $2 & filling up a drink. Ridiculous.

We lucked out when we arrived and snagged the last open booth. Service was quick, with our drinks and food arriving fast, and I loved seeing a selection of hot sauces right on the table. Not pictured is the cinnamon roll we split because it was too good to wait for a photo. The Texas burrito and chili got rave reviews from my dining partner, and my omelette was solid, though interestingly assembled. The fillings were layered rather than chopped and mixed throughout. Once I cut it all together, the flavor came through nicely, and the home fries were great. We'll definitely be back, and I'm already eyeing a few other dishes to try next time.
