Diner food. Good service. Homely feel. Booth seats. Small town Bennington, this is supposed to be in the Main Street area... food wise, is just ok. Had sandwiches here 2x. Fried chicken sandwich (over fried) and turkey club (salty, not great). Don't love it. Very salty. My work trip takes me to this town... and I am struggling to find really good eats here. Been 3 years now... and I am stuck with just good sandwiches or nothing else. Have not found anything worth telling the city friends - yep, it's the spot...

So disappointed! Was excited for a breakfast burrito and the online ordering option was very convenient. However, I could not eat my Emma burrito due to the rotting avocado (I think it was actually guacamole) on my burrito. I ignored the fact that there wasn't any bacon on my nearly $10.00 burrito, but couldn't stomach the weird flavor...when I looked closer it was evident that the avocado had gone bad and was used anyway...as it was brown/gray throughout the burrito (not just a spot or two). There's a large difference between oxidation (still not great to serve, in my opinion, and going bad) this was bad. The three stars are for the friendliness at pickup, the okay other breakfast sandwich (bacon-which may have been Canadian bacon or ham? And was full of fat- egg, and cheese on an English muffin), and the tater tots that were surprisingly full of flavor! It looks like many others had a better experience so hoping it was an off day and may give it another try in a few months!

Extensive breakfast menu includes: breakfast corn dogs! Fluffier-but stuffed pancakes! Waffle sammiches!

Once upon a time, this Faerie Queen needed a place to land for a good hearty breakfast. This place was the perfect destination! The extensive breakfast menu is what dreams are made of for us Faerie Foodies! The eggs are great, but the peanut butter, Nutella, mallow- fluff pancake were a culinary inspiration. Just like the famous "Alice's Restaurant," you can get just about anything you want here. This place is a must!

We are regulars of Angry Egg 2. I love the convenience of ordering from DoorDash! It is nice to have a local place that uses this service especially with kid friendly food. You can feed a lot of people and share items easily the portions are huge and healthy!

We lucked out when we arrived and snagged the last open booth. Service was quick, with our drinks and food arriving fast, and I loved seeing a selection of hot sauces right on the table. Not pictured is the cinnamon roll we split because it was too good to wait for a photo. The Texas burrito and chili got rave reviews from my dining partner, and my omelette was solid, though interestingly assembled. The fillings were layered rather than chopped and mixed throughout. Once I cut it all together, the flavor came through nicely, and the home fries were great. We'll definitely be back, and I'm already eyeing a few other dishes to try next time.

Flavor on the food was just lacking. Even the Vermont cheddar cheese was bland and only a whisper of sharpness. The home made chips good but lacked anything special. The true problem of this place is the ownership/management. We went there little after it opened. To see a table with a 5 gallon bucket of utensils and servers doing their side work on a table you have to walk past to get to anywhere in the seating area. Then we come to the management/owner. My biggest pet peeve is doing the books or daily paperwork in the guest area. You have an office or a place away from your guests. Not in full view and with in ear shot of your guests. And not in a place where sound carries. The BIGGEST complaint is the language. You are the leader of your staff. You set an example for the behavior and attitude of your staff. Dropping F-BOMBS and other vulgar language is not at anytime acceptable. Clearly the servers knew it and didn't thankfully follow your lead. This is NOT your buddies garage or basement. You are having people come in and hearing your language and seeing and clearly hearing your behavior I can not recommend going here. If it was based on food maybe. But clearly the ownership and leadership will keep me away from here. Such potential wasted by such poor work ethics.

Just a little diner, not much to see from the outside, but inside it is unique with the only seating at a large circular counter with the open kitchen on the side. The menu is pretty much what you expect with mostly breakfast items and sandwiches; this is supplemented by a couple of different special boards and signs. Service was attentive and friendly. My friend ordered the biscuits and gravy with a side of eggs, I got a spinach, tomato and cheese omelet that came with hash browns and cinnamon raisin toast. The food came out promptly, with generous portions of nicely prepared food. My omelet was good with the fresh spinach and tomatoes adding some nice contrast to the eggs. the potatoes were good and the raisin toast was excellent. They still have specific male- female bathrooms which could be made available to both or 100 of the new sex orientations. My only problem is their hours. Most breakfast places seat diners during their open hours. If it says 1:30pm then the staff can get out by 2:30. This restaurant tends to push people away - who are there for brunch - at about 12:15. Not sure the owners know how much business they are actually turning away since it's not apparent that once someone has been turned away over an hour before their end of day never bother to return. Also now that tips aren't technically taxed I would think employees would like a full day of work. Perhaps they need 2 shifts of wait staff and/or open for breakfast at 8:00am rather than 7:00. I moved to Manchester 3 yrs ago and have been baffled by the shortage of people willing to work full time or employers willing to add part-time workers on their busy days (Friday through Monday) There must be a way to keep staff and accommodate early afternoon brunch (10-2pm) diners. Manchester is basically a resort town that has kept its small town feel - which is a positive - but most restaurants in the area depend on seasonal diners. (Ski season, Fall foliage (leaf peepers, Summer equestrian, musical, play events and quiet during "mud season" so many businesses take a break some time during April/May. Some old locals insist on calling lunch - dinner and dinner supper which just confuses anyone who isn't a member of the DAR. (Daughters of the American Revolution) I have friends here who had relatives come over on the Mayflower - it was obviously a VERY crowded boat.
