This place is the perfect location for small town feel while being just outside the City. The lower room (handicapped) isn't designed for sleeping. The neighbors 2 porch lights shine right on the bed. If the owners slept there for a night I'm sure they would come up with solutions to this problem. read more

Looking for a getaway close enough in driving distance but also far enough to feel the coastal breeze, Pacifica was our weekend choice. We found the Anchor Inn to be conveniently located to all of the things that encompassed to us a perfect overnight getaway: beach access, coffee, brews, good food, and scenic views in a safe space. The Anchor Inn checked all the boxes and then some. Spacious enough for 2 adults and a baby (we noticed other families in the units next to ours), the Inn has private stays that include a kitchen, bathroom with shower/towel/amenities, TV in sitting room, chairs to sit on balcony, bedroom with TV also, and heated floors! I usually walk around barefoot at home (not a surfer, but this most be an awesome feature for those hitting the waves all day), and I was pleasantly surprised when my toesies were warm all day/night..such a unique and fun feature! Customer service is excellent and they checked in on us by cell to see if we needed anything additional. Another great feature is your own parking right next to the front doorway. Very convenient for multiple trips with a little one! As mentioned, down the driveway you can get to Grocery Store Outlet, Soul Grind Coffee Roasters, Humble Sea Brewing, and a few other eateries and shops depending on what you're in the mood for. There's also a safe and convenient pathway (check the open field slightly to the left) that leads directly to the water if you're looking to board, bring the kiddos to play, or just looking for a nice walk alone or all the romantic feels. Did I mention you can also get directly to the Taco Bell in Pacific this way? Just a 10 or less minute walk if you're looking for the cantina vibes! Whether you're looking for a getaway with a friend or two, solo trip, or bringing the family, I can't say enough great things about this hidden gem. We're already thinking of making this a tradition for fall 2025! read more

Very cool and clean spot. The location is a good area. It's like little mini houses but a hotel! There's no office onsite so it's all via phone but we had no issues. I do think a gate or a fence separating the property and sidewalk would be nice for privacy purposes. Overall very nice and would come back again. read more

I booked the Woods Suite #2. Has a private room and a pull out sofa. If you're sleeping in the pull out sofa, it get's pretty bright in the morning even with the small shades pulled down. Space for one car in the driveway, but ample street parking was available. I agree with the reviews that they do a great job keeping it clean and spotless. The kitchen was well stocked - even had an air fryer! Shower had low water pressure but plenty of hot water and clean towels. They also provide, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Extra blankets as well. You can't see the ocean view from this suite but loved how conveniently close everything was. Soul Grind, Grocery store, Brewery, the beach, and Taco Bell cantina all within walking distance. Didn't bother taking the car around. FYI For some reason, i didn't get the email for check-in since you need a code to get in but I gave them a quick call and they sent it right away! Definitely would book here again. read more

After searching for a place to spend a couple of days on my surf getaway, I found the Anchor Inn. I'm so happy I found this place. From the moment I arrived, I noticed how clean and new everything looked. I had unit one which is the first unit once you enter the driveway. Parking is literally right next to the door. You can't get any closer. After entering the unit, I was amazed about the quality of everything inside. From the appliances to the leather chairs and even the hand soap, the owners put alot of thought and care into these units. I'll definitely be coming back. This is the perfect jump-off point for all of your coastal activities in this part of California. TIP: Since I didn't want to bring my sandy wetsuit inside and mess up the unit, I found a spigot on the back side of the unit where I was able to rinse all of the sand off (maybe bring a short hose). After letting my suit and board dry off enough, I hung the suit in the shower area (plenty of room) and was able to fit my board on the floor near the front windows. There's an outside deck, but I didn't want to risk someone climbing it and snatching my board. read more

The Anchor Inn Woods Suite is an amazing "tiny house" to stay in that I kinda want to keep it my secret...Minimalist design but super comfy, SUPER CLEAN feeling and well kept, convenient but quiet.  Ella is also easy and wonderful to deal with and her care comes through once you arrive at the Anchor Inn. It really feels like "home" so I was sad to leave. I would love to come back here again and again. LOCATION: Just around the corner from the main road. Less than 5 minute walk to the nearby strip mall with easy access to the beach.  Great restaurants and amazing coffee shop (Soul Grind yum!) on the walk to the beach or even across/up the street. Also easy drive down to Half Moon Bay if you choose to indulge in Sam's Chowder House... SPACE: separate bedroom (queen bed, a little soft) with door, kitchen with bar stools (kitchen was stocked with dining and dishwashing stuff and I think some basic spices), living room with comfy seating and coffee table, balcony (no outdoor furniture). Super clean hard floors with rugs in different spots to warm up the place.  Finishes are beautiful and very new feeling. It might feel a little tight with 4 people but I can see how you really can sleep 4 fairly comfortably if you wanted to (2 in the queen bed and 2 on the pullout couch) PARKING: drive up the hill right up next to your front door (uncovered); each tiny house has a spot for a car right next to its front door. Once you park, you don't really need to drive if you're just hanging around town. VIEW: the top house has a view of the water but the Woods Suite (second from the bottom) does not - it looks out at the park across the street but private enough because it's the second house up the hill.  The first house has windows right to the sidewalk so might be less private but it's still only fronting the side road (e.g., not Route 1) OTHER: no lobby, no check-in (electronic coded locks), no shared space/air with anyone else - it is literally a standalone house!  It's listed on a variety of sites but go direct and just book on their site: https://anchorinnhotels.com/ read more

What a fun concept! Each tiny cottage has its own theme and no common or shared spaces make it very private. We stayed in the Coastal Cottage. It has the best view! No need to drive once you are here. Easy walk to beach, trails, restaurants and shops. With all the windows it does get quite bright in the morning because not all of the windows have shades so you may want to bring eye covers. The balcony is lovely but no chairs or table provided so if you want them you can bring your own. We met the owner and a resident of the neighborhood and they all made us feel right at home. We love Pacifica and have enjoyed staying in various places here but we think we have found our go-to home away from home now! read more

Reserved on airbnb.com I stayed in #3. This "tiny house" had one parking spot and had code entry. It's simple and modern with a sitting area with a TV in an open space with the kitchen. There are lots of windows with shades to pull down if needed. The bathroom floor was heated and plenty of towels were available to use. The bedroom was comfortable and also had a TV. Dresser drawers were available as well as a small stand alone rack with hangers to hang clothes. Grocery stores, coffee shops, eateries are in walking distance. Linda Mar Beach and hiking trails are nearby as well. I enjoyed my stay and would stay again.. The only thing that would make this property even better is a washer/dryer in unit.. read more

We stayed at the Anchor Inn for one night and loved it! We stayed in #2, Woods Suite. Loved the tiny house feel of it and it was nice that this one had a separate bedroom and the bed wasn't right near a window. You can't see the beach from the house, but after noticing surfers walking across the field out of the window, we walked over and were at the beach. We went to Nicks for dinner (close drive down the road and right on the water) Ella was easy to communicate with and gave good details about the house. Just an FYI, Your credit card is charged at time of booking. We would definitely come back again! read more

A very cute and quiet get away, close distance to beach, stores and lovely eating placing. The units are clean well kept up. I stayed here for Mother's Day and when I arrived. I was in total awe! I was given a special code for my door to get in so no check in at the front desk. Which was kind of cool lol! This property is beautiful! I enjoyed every part of my suite! The kitchen fully stocked with new silverware, pots, pans and plates etc The shower was gorgeous! 3 minute walk from the property to the beach. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a nice getaway. I recently shared my stay here on FB and EVERYONE wants to know where this property is! I definitely shared! The anchor inn is a brand new lot of tiny homes tucked away in cute little Pacifica. It's a 5 min walk to a delicious cafe and the beach! It's all brand new so it has a really clean feel. You can choose a studio tiny home or a 1 bedroom which also has a pull out couch. The kitchen is cute, the bathrooms are cute. All over cozy feel. Great for surfers, great for business people who have conferences in the city. You just jump on the freeway and head to the city. Only about 25 min! Beautiful and relaxing getaway. This place was awesome. I love the individual mini condo concept. We were text our lock combination number ahead of time and let ourselves in and out which really made it feel like a second a home. This place is newly built with beautiful simple modern design. Very clean with a stocked kitchen. The sofa was a pull out sleeper. We stayed in #2 which had a great view and every room inside was beautiful. You are in very short walking distance to EVERYTHING. Great brewery, Mexican food, burger joint, coffee shop, grocery outlet and the best part - the beach! My husband and I look forward to coming back (with out kids in tow next time) as soon as we can! One of the cutest places ever. I walked in and instantly felt like I was at home. It is minimalistic and very well designed. I usually have problems with places being clean but when I stayed here it was clean all the time, fresh towels, linens, etc. literally the best place to stay if you're a fellow neat freak. The people that run the units are super sweet and interesting to talk to. It is in a beautiful area with the beach on one side and the mountains on the other. You also do not need a car if you come here because everything (breakfast, lunch, dinner, grocery stores, fast foods) are all within walking distance. I am not one to typically write reviews. But there were a few things I had a problem with here. While these may not be deal breakers for everyone, a few things stood out to me based on the price you pay. First, the oven didn't work. This was supposed to be a fully working kitchen and we planned to cook but were unable to. Second, I know Pacifica is a cool temp place but maybe have a fan available. The place was very stuffy and I opened windows but without screens bugs started to trickle in. I'm sure most would be fine with this but a fan as an option would be nice. Third, the hall closet had a shelf at one point but looked to be broken and sitting on the floor along with everything else inside the closet including the iron. Also, and not a deal breaker, but the TV in the living room was mounted insanely high, there's no reason for it to even be there if it's going to be so high. And one more thing, when I pay this much for a room, a little welcoming pack would be nice, maybe a bottle water, or something, just as an added touch. We travel a lot so for me I probably wouldn't stay here again. read more

Spent the last two nights August 19th and 20th in Anchor Inns #2. It was nothing short of perfect. It was like our own tucked away cabin or bungalo. My wife was an executive house keeper for hotel in Sacramento for many years so when it comes to cleanliness let's just say she is hard to please. That is until we Stayed here. The unit was immaculate. Kitchen fully stocked dishes paper towels even olive oil and brand new seasoning salts in cabinets. I wanted somewhere romantic to take my wife of 29 years too and where else better than where we met Pacifica. This was perfect for us,cozy living room,kitchen,clean bathroom with walk in shower and a nice size private bedroom where the bed was super comfortable.Also beach is minutes away as well as awesome food.i recommend this place to anyone and everyone I know. Great little spot we will definitely return to. Nice, clean and new. Love how we can walk to the beach and to get coffee, lunch or dinner. Can't wait to come back. Only thing to complain about is the bed is placed on a metal box that makes sooo much noise when you move or get in and out of bed. The pictures and reviews (not sure if authentic) online are a great advertisement, but the reviews didn't match our experience or expectations. It's advertised as a 5 minute walk. This inn is on a steep hill which requires a hike down driveway, a long walk across a field, up a tall staircase and then down a staircase. If you are physically in shape, you could do it jogging in 10 minutes. The inside is aesthetically pleasing. The floor is concrete without carpets, so it has an echo, don't bring little ones that could fall or elderly that are unstable. There are no screens on the windows, so to cool down, open the windows and get cozy with the mosquitoes and loud noises (I'll explain more in the latter) . It says it has AC, but really only has a heater. The bed is a queen size bed and is hard as a rock and the room doesn't have a closet. The TV in the front room is mounted so high and is so close to the couch, my neck hurts from having to tilt my head back to see it. The front room is great during the day with light, but has no shades or way to block light on the top windows or the door that's frosted glass. The curtains in the bedroom have gaps that let light in and again, no screens or way to prevent a toddler from falling out. If you need accommodations physically, like the ability to get down and up the hill, there aren't any and you will not be able to get a refund, so please know this is not ADA accessible. (There is one unit that is, but it's close to the road and was unavailable..) *** It is loud and is located on the same property as the construction company with shared road access and next to a catering company. You will hear trucks backing up and their beeping noises, not just at 5am, but throughout the night as well. It was louder than my toddler's sound machine which was turned way up. It's aesthetically pleasing, but the least bit comfortable. You would expect the accommodations to meet the price and 4-star rating. read more
