We found the Anchor Inn to be conveniently located to all of the things that encompassed to us a perfect overnight getaway: beach access, coffee, brews, good food, and scenic views in a safe space. The Anchor Inn checked all the boxes and then some. Spacious enough for 2 adults and a baby (we noticed other families in the units next to ours), the Inn has private stays that include a kitchen, bathroom with shower/towel/amenities, TV in sitting room, chairs to sit on balcony, bedroom with TV also, and heated floors! I usually walk around barefoot at home (not a surfer, but this most be an awesome feature for those hitting the waves all day), and I was pleasantly surprised when my toesies were warm all day/night..such a unique and fun feature! Customer service is excellent and they checked in on us by cell to see if we needed anything additional. Another great feature is your own parking right next to the front doorway. Very convenient for multiple trips with a little one! As mentioned, down the driveway you can get to Grocery Store Outlet, Soul Grind Coffee Roasters, Humble Sea Brewing, and a few other eateries and shops depending on what you're in the mood for. There's also a safe and convenient pathway (check the open field slightly to the left) that leads directly to the water if you're looking to board, bring the kiddos to play, or just looking for a nice walk alone or all the romantic feels. Did I mention you can also get directly to the Taco Bell in Pacific this way? Just a 10 or less minute walk if you're looking for the cantina vibes! Whether you're looking for a getaway with a friend or two, solo trip, or bringing the family, I can't say enough great things about this hidden gem. We're already thinking of making this a tradition for fall 2025!

Getting close to our SF trip and I had to make a decision, I already booked 2 nights in the City (…read moreUnion Square), plans were to explore the city by foot but I also want to check out the Pacifica area as I've never been. So canceled the original plans and here we are. I am so glad because I sure did alot during our short stay. Fairfield Inn & Suites is a beachfront hotel in Pacifica, with modern amenities and stunning ocean views. The hotel is super close by to Pacific State Beach on your left and Rockaway Beach on your right if you are facing the ocean. There are few other hotels, shops, & eateries nearby. I've always seen Pacifica sign on the highway and we got an idea of where, really close to Daly City & SFO. The drive in to Pacifca from SFO was really nice and quick . When we arrived at the hotel, our room wasn't quite ready yet and I wanted the ocean view , staff Angelica was very accommodating, she tried her best to make it work that we get ocean room views. We waited a bit for the room so we hanged outside, enjoyed the breathtaking view of Pacifica Beach & ate our lunch ( we got take out) We got a text that our room are ready. Check is was simple, Angelica also gave & share some info. on Pacifica area. I also was helped by Michele when we checked out and she was friendly as well, love the Aloha spirit here! I really enjoyed our stay at Fairfield, only 2 floors, I heard that this hotel use to be a Days Inn. I had no problems, we slept well, staff were friendly. Complimentary breakfast was great. I loved the coffee dispensing machine available from 11 am- 5 pm. Note, parking is $15. if you park in the hotel's parking lot or free if you park just right across the hotel, we opt to save $ so we didn't park in the lot, parking is on a first come first serve basis. During this stay we were able to explore both beach, hiking trails and last but not least, got to check out what I was excited for Taco Bell Cantina. I sure made use of precious time staying here at Pacifica. LOVE the location. Thing sure happen for a reason ( cancelling the original plan to stay here) and I am so happy for the memories/moments that were created. & I just Loved waking up to the sounds of the oceans and enjoyed the views, I really would loved to stay here again, if plan works out.

We have traveled to San Francisco quite a bit but this was our first time staying in Pacifica…read more Marriott is our go to so we tried this spot. The pros: - Located right on the water and in close proximity to small shops and restaurants. - Comfortable, clean and very spacious rooms. - Good pricing. - Staff was pleasant. - Parking available for $15 in their lot or free outside. - Small workout room available. - Our room did not have a view of the water (not sure many do) but they did their best with a creative screen on the window. - It was very quiet and we felt very safe. Could be better- - $15 for parking seemed unnecessary. - It is accessible to other locations, but everything closed by 10pm and it far enough for virtually every delivery place had an extra charge since it was out of area. - Breakfast is included and was fine, nothing special, just fine. - Not one staff member acknowledged by Marriott status. Not a deal breaker, I just hadn't expected this. All in all, a positive experience!

In the rental process there was no option for sea view, so we assumed that all rooms were facing the sea. I have book 1.5 moths in advance, but when I arrived they said that they did not have any sea view room, in spite of having some 100 rooms facing the sea, and have putting me and my wife in a room facing a parking lot, in spite of having still rooms available today, under the excuse that everybody had asked for a sea view room, what does not seem true to me. Seeing my disappointment and even anger the attendant told me that he thought he might have a room with a sea view where he could place me and that he would call my room to confirm. I waited some 2 hours for the confirmation and when I checked the phone I noticed that it was completely dead and the plug was not accessible, behind an heavy furniture. I went down to the office to talk to that person, but instead of him was a woman that seemed to be the owner or the manager and completely over-rid her employee and told me that no way she could find me a room with a sea view. We were hoping that this could be the place in the Bay Area that would be our go to since my wife has family on this area, but giving the deceitful nature of these people we surely will not. Their usual rate is about $120 per night but now I am paying over $250 per night because there is some extra demand... Not very nice people to deal with...

There was a two story building in front of us, obscuring the crashing wave directly in front of us. Looking to the left and right, we could see crashing waves. We could hear some kind of fan outside, but the ocean waves can still be heard. The refrigerator is loud. The elevator seemed a little janky, but we haven't gotten stuck yet. You do have to use your key card to activate the elevator from the parking area. So, if you push the button doesn't light up after pressing it, you probably didn't use your key card. I alerted Shelley at the front desk about this after I checked in on Sunday 4/12 and was left on hold and forgotten...after 15 min of waiting on the phone to no avail, I called back and then she finally told me that the engineers had left at 4:00pm and that there was nothing that they could do to help me. I asked about being moved to a room with a functioning bathroom and was told that they had no ability to do that because they were not a manager and the manager would not be in until 7:00am the following day Monday 4/13. Shelley informed me that my ONLY option was to use the public bathrooms located in the lobby on the other side of the hotel...and they assured me that the manager would give me a significant discount/compensation for the huge inconvenience when I checked out. I called the front desk first thing Monday 4/14 asking to speak to a manager and was told by Lynne there was no manager in for the day. She said she was unable apply any discounts and wouldn't even grant me a complementary late checkout. I was informed that my only option was to leave a voicemail and wait for Jane to call me back when they will apparently be in the office on Tuesday 4/14. I paid a lot of money for this hotel room and it is unacceptable that it didn't have a functioning bathroom and that I was not given any assistance or viable solutions. I was also repeatedly given misinformation and I have no confidence that there even will be a manager in tomorrow or that they will call me back, provide compensation, and attempt to make things right. I have never had such an abysmal hotel experience and am shocked at the way this was handled.

This hotel is walking distance to a few restaurants by utilizing the walking path along the water. The only negative about our stay was the temperature in the room.
