Pros: charming, tastefully furnished and decorated room. Truly one of a kind. I much prefer this over the soulless, sterile nature of many hotel rooms. Per room heater was easy to locate and use. Easy after hours checkin, you just need to let the front desk know ahead of time. I booked the Terrazzo Queen which is an interior room and heard absolutely no street noise at all. It was very peaceful and quiet the entire time. Also -- this inn understands one often overlooked thing -- people drink water. There is a decanter of water ready in the room upon checkin and is refreshed after turndown service. There is also a water dispenser in the hallway with tea and a microwave. It's all in the little things. Cons: one slightly leaky tap in bathroom sink. Terrazzo Queen also has no direct sunlight. It opens to a terrace, which one would assume to be open-air, but in reality is covered and is more of a skylight. If you only book one of the rooms the knob is also locked so you don't get access to the terrace. Overall highly recommend. I was solo traveling and this place felt like a little home away from home. REALLY appreciated the vintage writing desk in particular!

This is a fine-looking inn with a wonderful location on Main St in Half Moon Bay. It is dog-friendly, a must for us since we had our two dogs. Unfortunately, they charged an extra $50 per dog as a pet fee. The biggest drawback is that they have no parking lot, so you must park on the street and the hours posted limit how long you can stay. Luckily, we were told that since the pandemic, the city stopped issuing parking tickets, but presumably they will start giving them again at some point.

We really enjoyed our stay in this historic hotel. We were greeted and escorted to our room. There are steep stairs, no elevator, so handicapped may have difficulty. The room was clean, cute, comfortable bed, nice courtyard protected from weather, coffee maker and had cable tv.

This is the best place to stay in downtown! The host /owner is delightful. The rooms are unique, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean.

Nice, clean, quiet room despite being on the "main drag." Receptionist even walked us to our room! Recommend!

They offered complementary wine in the evening and breakfast in the morning. Their breakfast was provided by nearby bakeries which was really nice to support/highlight local businesses! The hotel was clean, quiet, and staff were all very friendly. Even the interactions that we witnessed were all very helpful and pleasant. This hotel is walking distance to a few restaurants by utilizing the walking path along the water. The only negative about our stay was the temperature in the room. It was very warm (even in March) and since there is no air conditioning we were forced to keep the back door open and bugs were coming in from the crack of the screen door. Otherwise very pleasant stay and we'd come back.

There's even a little glass of dum dums suckers on the counter for the little ones or those young at heart 2) Room amenities - everything you can ask for including 2 burner stove, water kettle, Keurig coffee machine with several coffee pods, set of dishes (3 cups, 3 mugs, 3 plates, utensils), microwave, frig, ironing board, standing fan, extra pillows, large sofa enough to fit 4 adults, fireplace with wood chips for burning, 2 tv's - one in living area and one at the bottom of the bed, balcony overlooking the ocean and toaster. The shower had bottles of shampoo, conditioner and cleanser. I don't think they missed anything -except toothpaste! You're on your own with that. Balcony had 2 chairs for you to sit and enjoy the view. 3) Hot tub and pool - we only tried the hot tub which was very hot in the beginning but after soaking in for a few minutes you get acclimated and it's relaxing. Officially fits 10 but so spacious can fit more. Towels available at front desk. 4) Complimentary continental breakfast - everything you can ask for that does not require any cooking including various pastries, bagels, muffins, oatmeal with toppings, yogurt with various toppings, apple or orange juice, coffee, tea, apples, pears, bananas, hard boiled eggs and toaster (for the sliced bread or bagels). There are wooden trays if you want to take some food to your room. There are 4 large round tables with 8 chairs for seating and a fireplace burning. There's something for everyone! You can also eat outside on the patio with ocean view. (There were also a few GF options.) 5) 5:30 complimentary wine in lobby area. 6) Self service cold water - small plastic cups available in lobby area We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Room is spacious and furniture is not the most current but it was comfortable. We enjoyed watching the sunset and surfers out on the ocean!

One of the best parts of this inn is the nearby ocean strolling opportunity on a nearby road/path, which leads to a nice sand stretch. You can hear the waves from the beautiful, cozy rooms - which was a highlight for me. Highly, highly recommend! Worth every penny! Pro-tip: When I booked my stays, it was cheaper to book lodging through a third-party website, but definitely check their direct rates, as usually this is the most beneficial, cost-effective way to book lodging in the states.

If you're staying here, I would recommend not just using it as a place to sleep - try to actually indulge in all the amenities they have to offer. Did I mention the freshly baked cookies at 7 PM? Our room had a fireplace with an ocean view. We were able to enjoy our wine in our private patio and even got the cutest thermos set to take home! The breakfast in bed was delightful. It was on time and fresh. Food was just okay, but the daily special (French toast) hit the mark. Great for anniversaries, birthdays, Valentine's Day or any other celebration!
