Came here on Tues for the drink specials. The bartenders where fast and friendly. I returned again on Saturday and they have a great 80's /rock Dj. Met people from all over L.A...its a small place but if you are looking for a casual evening out, cheap drinks, and good music, then definitly check it out. read more

If you don't care much for the DJ's inability to mix records properly and if you really don't care for the cliché of a bar name, than you'll be alright. I mean, getting over the name itself is a feat in its own right, but then having to get over all the fat chicks who think they're sexy is a damn right accomplishment. But I digress... The DJ had a good songlist--played like 10 million Cure songs (which I'm okay with). He even took my requests for "My Girl Likes to Party All the Time" and "Dancing in Heaven" Hahaha... Been here a few times and always have a blast. I've been on Fridays and Saturdays and have never had problems. Yah it's a bit small and people are packed in like sardines, but oh well. The doorman has been cool with me, bartenders always been attentive with me, happy hour will get you ripped, really good selection of music/videos, and if you are feeling saucy you can get wild on the dance floor. This place kicks ass especially early on Saturdays. Mixed drinks are $4 and they have live music all day with no cover. My man has played here twice and it's always fun. The bartenders are very nice and drinks are pretty damn good for $4. It's divey as hell here which I love. Also it's hotter than a whore house in July but that's alright too. Just get more alcohol. And do yourself a favor, go to the mexican grocery store next door and get some ribs. They are to die for! read more

Used to be a mecca for punk, but they had a shifty promoter name Kevin who ruined it for awhile. New promoters came and went like clockwork, slowly getting rid of punk. Major bummer. Went Friday night with cousins..have not been here in couple years..the vibe is the same which I like..the drinks awesome prices..I bought a round for 9 of us and it wasnt even $30.. the only downfall that day was the dj..he kept playing a song for like 3-4 minutes..instead of doing like a skip around or something nope same song for like 4 minutes which made us just sit down. Our fav local dive bar...used to be a cooler punk rock bar with a lot more bands... Now it's a bar/club that specializes in 80's, new wave, and Spanish rock... Nothing wrong with that but just a diff scene. Still has good, hard, cheap drinks there... I wonder if they still film porn there?? Anyways, pretty good place... Just don't get into a fight there... Well im not sure what to say about this place. This bar has its positives and negatives. One of the positive things about this place is that the drinks are cheap 5$ a beer except tuesdays 2$ beers and patron shots. The negative thing about this place is that the majority of the females are not the most appealing or atractive, If your a guy looking to go to a bar and pick up on girls dont go to this bar with hopes of single hotties because that is very rare here ( the low priced drinks might help with that though ) the live bands are nothing to brag about. the location its self is very small and musty rocker/ rockabilly people rub up on you just go get by. At first I wasn't too sure about this place because it was a new scene for me, had an arrogant bastard for $5 served by a pretty hot bartender, music was pretty cool and even thou the dance floor was a little small it seemed like it fit the occasion pretty good, the bathroom was actually not too bad, parking was easy and it seemed like security had good control over everything overall a pretty good DIVE bar oh and ladies, this place is full of scavengers, that could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on what you are looking for lol I'm pretty sure if I was into that type of scene I would have gave it a 5 star but at least I tried :) read more

I came here for the first time last night, and had a damn good time. The music was excellent, and had me singing along the whole time. They played a mix of 80's, and alternative, and a random punk song. Gets crowded as hell, you have to fight your way to the bar. The bartenders made some strong drinks, one was drunk as hell and cracking jokes. She was hilarious, and friendly. The other one with the leopard tattoo had an attitude problem. Ladies, if you come with a group of girls be prepared to be eye fucked like no other. The guys here are skeezy. There is a dance floor but it gets super crowded, and it makes it hard to get to the restroom. All in all a good time was had, and we will be back! read more

This place is pretty legit. No cover, and drinks are pretty cheap. I love the vibe in here, hella chill, and sometimes there's bands playing in the back. You can also choose music in the jukebox, and since I heard that this place had a more rockabilly feel to it, I was surprised that Bloc Party and Rock En Español ended up playing on it.
