AestheticSpa and Dr. Cone are my go to for helping me to to keep up with the gravity of age. Dr…read more Cone has always been the most caring, skilled and truly talented cosmetic dermatologist that I have met. No matter what my concerns have been, she has treated me with compassion, professionalism and also with a genuine down to earth personal experience. I can't say enough good things about my experience at AesthetiSpa. I have referred a number of women there since my experience has been so outstanding. Love Dr. Cone and Kelly, they both take their clients and their skill seriously. Janice G

Goodbye to my former self and a WARNING to those contemplating what I once considered a small…read morecosmetic procedure ....I just wanted to take a moment and share my story to spare someone from going through what I've gone through; the life long complications and the realization that I will be permanently disfigured both aesthetically and functionally. The face in the mirror will NEVER be the same as it was prior to January 30th nor will my soul. On January 30th: Celebrating my 40th Birthday I decided to get filler in my nasolabial folds (wrinkles between the lips and nose). Feb 1st: Incredible pain and white blanching/bluish tint. Told it was normal. Bruising. Feb 2nd: Realized what I was experiencing was skin necrosis and the tissue on the left side of my nose was dead and the cartilage was collapsing in on itself. This was from my own "gut instinct" that it wasn't bruising as I was told; the black skin was not going to "grow back". A laser treatment or IPL was not going to reshape my nose, as I was told. For the next several weeks I was shuffled to a "private" waiting room as to not let other potential clients see the damage that was done to my face. My self esteem, at an all time low, was further shattered by being hidden from plain view because the "med spa" didn't want their bottom line to be hurt. After that "follow up", where I was yet again told everything was fine and put "Aquaphore" on it; I made the decision that it was time to seek proper treatment from a competent medical professional. What followed was many months of not being able to leave my house unless it was to get my wet to dry bandages changed. The possibility of infection and further cartilage damage was my sentence to spend the next four months within the four walls of my home. In May I underwent my first reconstruction surgery. Skin and cartilage was taken from my ear to reconstruct the interior of my nose. This helped me be able to breath again (50%) from my left nostril. It was the first of many surgeries and procedures that will occupy the better part of my life. To hear the words, from a well respected facial reconstruction surgeon, that I will be permanently disfigured- was a tough pill to swallow. Yes, I made the ultimate decision to under go the procedure. However, I was never warned of the risks. I had absolutely no idea what to look for. Had I been properly informed of ALL the risks; even if they are considered rare, perhaps I would had made a more INFORMED decision. I was never given a waiver to review or sign. I never was verbally told of the dangers. I'm letting you know the risks and dangers of what some consider a small "cosmetic" procedure. If you are going to go that route; please consider going to a board certified surgeon. Someone that is familiar with the product they are injecting in your body. And if there is a complication, they are knowledgeable to be able to help you before the damage becomes permanent. The sad part, the "med spa" that did this, never once offered to pay ANY of my medical bills. Never heard from them again after the last follow up in mid February. I guess they thought I would go away and they were above the law. But doctors take a Hippocratic Oath to uphold specific ethical standards. This was not the case at Aestedispa in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Shame on you Dr. Christy Cone. I hope you don't do this to another client and hide behind your fake smile.

This place is heaven. I've been to a lot of spas and this one takes the cake. The service is…read moreimmaculate. From the moment you walk in you feel welcome. They gave us a little goodie bag because it was our first time. When I had booked the massages I had mentioned that it was my birthday - they went above and beyond and brought me champagne, chocolates, and a warm neck wrap! It was lovely! Our massages were amazing. They really tailored the massage to what your body needed- spent extra time on knots, aromatherapy, hot towels, etc. I felt like this was worth the price. I'd love if they would have some blankets in the "waiting" lounge area because it can get cold.

I was shown where to change it to robe and employee told me I only had 3 min to change. I changed quickly and was waiting in the lounge I was directed to by 3:29. I sat and waited until 3:37 until someone came and got me. I was taken to the massage room where I was instructed to remove robe and lie on the table while she left the room. She came back in and the massage started a little after 3:40. My massage only lasted 15 minutes. I was back in the dressing room before 4:00. I then went to pay for my massage. The total was $85.00. I was asked if they could add 20% gratuity, I asked them if they could put it on the gift card as well and they said yes. They couldn't figure out how to do that so said I would have to leave gratuity in cash. Not a pleasant or enjoyable experience I felt like I was an inconvenience. I've had many other massages and this was definitely the most disappointing.

I love this store and the people that worked the day I was there-…read more I had never been to Charleston before, my friend drove us down (visiting from Chicago) and once we parked and took a couple steps there in front of me was Cos Bar-I could vaguely see "Armani" from inside and I knew I had to go in-The store is a scaled down Sephora, boutique with select lines, but good lines; Cle de Peau, Sisley, Yves Saint Laurent, Armani, Dior, Trish, NARS etc. As well skincare lines, perfumes, polishes etc. I had gotten a new shade of the Armani Luminous Silk foundation before my South Carolina trip, yet every time I'd look in the mirror of my rental car all I saw was an orange face, I looked bad-As well I kept getting these painful bumps on my forehead and hairline, so not normal for me- I just wanted to wash my face and start over that day and I decided to ask if I could do just that, wash my face and someone make me over-The manager on site that day said I could, I just needed to buy 3 items, which has been the easiest task of my life thus far-The manager asked what I was using to wash my face and I told him La Mer and he let me grab the testing items and go into the bathroom and wash away- Came out bare faced and the fun began-I was told that Cle de Peau would be really good for me, so I sat down and an artist named Shawn started on me-Very nice guy and worked his brush magic on me, he wouldn't have let me walked out with something that did not match my skin-Side note, this is the best foundation I have ever used and I'm a makeup whore so I have tried pretty much every product you can throw at me- Next I sat with Cameron Eubanks, yep, the girl from Real World: San Diego and Southern Charm and she applied bronzer and blush-Love the bronzer, I'm a makeup snob so I never use the Trish line, never really appealed to me, but the bronzer works for my skin tone-Used the face fabric clicky pen for blush and loved that product- Then I had the new Yves Saint Laurent Leather Fetish eye quad used on me and loved that as well, that is what I wanted on me in the first place so happy to get a softy smokey eye applied- I walked away with the products they used on me and Shawn was awesome and gave me 2 samples of the Cle de Peau skincare products-Still testing out and thinking of buying in the future- There is something about this store, it's smaller than Sephora, but feels clean, is clean and there are not annoying SA's that make you feel like you don't' know what a lipstick is-They know what they are talking about there and it was awesome to see they had Fall collections in the store- I seriously wish I could somehow work at a Cos Bar, possibly corporate b/c I love the store that much- If you are in the area stop in, they took care of me and Cameron was so sweet while I was a psycho fan and freaked out over her putting makeup on me-Sorry, just a sucker for reality shows!
