Some days they are over cooked and crunchy. I preferred the little chic sandwich when they put it in a dinner roll. Now they put it in a hot dog bun and I am not crazy about that. But the chicken over all is amazing and the best around. Seasoned perfectly.

We've come here for years, but unfortunately, probably won't be back. Three of us came in to eat,…read moreand ordered complete meals. The food was okay, but my styrofoam plate was melted so much i couldn't eat from it, much less take my leftovers home. I asked for another plate, and received one, but it was smaller and without dividers, so I couldn't put my butter peas in it without spilling everywhere. We asked for another to go plate for another in our party, whose food was served in an open cardboard tray. The girl at the counter gave him a small paper bag. When we pointed out that onion rings and chicken wouldn't fare well in a paper bag, she said, "We have to charge for the cardboard boxes." Fine. Do it. Better yet, serve the meals in a box or tray that can be closed in order to carry out the leftovers, rather than an open tray. Just don't act like we're trying to steal from you. That's insulting, and won't soon be forgotten.

The Chicken Chipotle is broiled perfectly in a rich sauce that is balanced and doesn't overdo. My wife loves the steak salad with grilled mushrooms and pesto. Open faced poblanos with grilled chicken is my favorite so far. These are savory dishes with deep flavors that don't come out of a can. It really is fine food. The family provides the service and they take care to get things right, although sometimes they are stretched thin at rush hour. The ambiance is cheery and clean. The dining area is surprisingly large with many tables, a dozen booths, and a separate bar area. It's a popular family joint, often with groups and large parties. It's still fine for date night - just not on a Saturday.

The staff are nice, helpful and lowkey. Their menu has several things that you don't see at most Mexican restaurants in the area. And their quesadillas are simple yet incredible!! I don't know what kind of cheese they use, but it is unctuous, buttery and soft and melty and rich. I went there for my birthday.
