I absolutely loved this place. It is one of the best BBQ experiences I have had in a long time or maybe ever. One thing you don't get very often in BBQ restaurants is innovation. This place absolutely has one of the most unique BBQ menus I have ever seen and it's all great. The BBQ itself is great. They do a wonderful job, but instead of just giving you the meat, they have a variety of dishes that you can get it with. The sandwiches on the menu are so wonderful. It doesn't even matter which one you pick. They are all great. I also like a lot of the Hispanic influence on the menu. If you think BBQ sauce is great on brisket, try some queso! The staff here was also very friendly and the restaurant looked newly updated and was very clean. I will certainly be back to try more dishes!

    Jumbo bbq pork sandwich

I walked in and ordered a jumbo bbq sandwich. $9 & change. No drink. No fries. Just a bbq sandwich. It was very good but the price was over priced compared to several other local bbq places.

BBQ Sundae - Delicious, hot & cold & vinegary & sweet. The baked bean finale was a little too effortless, but the beginning makes up for it

The food. The food. The Service. The food. The scenery. The parking. The business hours. The cutest sweet staff. The food. Well, you'll just have to visit & you'll know what I'm say'in. There were regulars on their lunch break, a small family, and us on our anniversary roadtrip. It's Absolutely Beautiful. Very hot in Aug! So Delicious. And for once, a bbq place that's not Sticky when you sit down!! Lol. It's a sweet dream & so much fun with your Best Friend. The drink menu looks Awesome!! If there was live music, I'd die. (psst: get the pork)

We were traveling back to metro Atlanta from Cleveland, TN. I looked at BBQ places in Chattanooga and the surrounding towns. Thatcher's BBQ had very high ratings so we decided to give them a try and I am SO glad we did. When you pull into the parking lot, you see that it is a small restaurant in a non-descriptive building. Upon entry, you discover that they have only 10 or so tables. The interior is clean and the staff is super friendly. We were quickly seated at one of the two tables available. Our server, Belle, arrived at our table with a smile on her face and a can-do attitude. She took our drink order and answered our questions about the menu selections. For a small restaurant, their menu is vast and has some great offerings. We each decided to go with the chopped and sliced combos which comes with 2 sides and TX toast. We both tried the fried green tomatoes as one of our sides. My better half ordered onion rings as her second side and I ordered baked beans. The food arrived in about 10 to 15 minutes. All our selections were good. The fried green tomatoes were piping hot and had a tasty cornmeal breading. My better half's onion rings were not very not so I told Belle about them being like warm. She said that she would have the kitchen make us some fresh onion rings. Our pulled meats were all very good but needed some BBQ sauce to add some twang to the meat. The sliced brisket was the star of our meals. It was lean, tender and delicious! You get large portions but we had skipped lunch so we both finished off the meals. If you are in Ringold and want some great BBQ, then you must give Thatcher's BBQ a try. Ask for Belle for your server as she is the kindest and nicest server in the state of GA.

Pulled chicken, pork, sausage, brisket, and ribs. They ran out of ribs.

I got the platter that came with pulled chicken, pork, sausage, brisket, and ribs. They ran out of ribs so they gave me extra brisket. Which I was fine with but I just think this platter was way too small for 29$! It was very tasteful tho!

Awesome local bbq, food was great and portions were large! Fried green tomato appetizer is a must try! Stopped in while staying in Chattanooga on a road trip. Easy to find and staff were super nice!

Let's start with the wonderful service. The ladies that took care of us were awesome! Quick to seat us, always there for a refill, and brought some amazing food. Speaking of the food I can't say enough about the mac and cheese! This is some of the best I have ever had. The family agreed we would drive out of our way just to have it again. The Okra was also a big hit. Fried just right so it didn't have that odd texture. The meats were exceptionally tasty. We had the pork, chicken and brisket. I will say if you are expecting Texas style brisket then do not order. You're in Georgia and it's done different, and for this style of brisket it is done well. Plenty of room for a larger family or a group of friends so bring them down to an excellent example of southern bbq.

Never-ending sweet tea and a plate full of tots, meat, and queso served with a side of southern hospitality - what more could you ask for? I usually always get a bucket, but the bologna and the wrapper were excellent as well. Also, it's a great feeling to open your fridge to have leftovers that weigh as much as a small child (exaggerating but seriously it's so much food!). If somehow you have room for dessert, they have you covered! We've been coming here for years, and we love it.

Amazingggg, fried pickle spears were delicious and crunchy unlike some fried pickles where the breading falls off and the pickle inside is mushy. The brick house spud was delicious and the meat was super tender with very little fatty pieces

Here is Gizzy by their sign. She enjoyed the meal as much as I did!

Talk about good old fashioned BBQ! This place is the real deal. A small older building on the side of the road was the first positive sign of good Q but then when I saw the smoking shed off to the side I was sure I was in for a treat! The food and service definitely didn't disappoint me. The team here are amazing! They were joking and laughing with me while I was ordering and happily answered my menu questions, like "what are sweet green beans?", turns out they are green beans cooked with brown sugar! There were several unique sides that really added to the experience. I decided on the brisket and pulled pork plate which came with two sides; after much consideration I went with the sweet potato tots and loaded potato salad, both excellent choices. I ordered to go so I could sit at one of several picnic tables in the oak tree shaded side yard with my dog. The lady taking my order quickly volunteered to bring my food out to me when it was ready so she could meet my pup, Gizzy. The brisket was moist and amazing and the pulled pork was tasty and perfectly cooked. I asked for sweet sauce but the meat was so good it wasn't needed. The sweet potato tots were dessert like and totally unique, sprinkled with powder sugar! The loaded potato salad was tasty and an excellent side as well. Accompanied with a slab of tasty Texas toast it was a great meal! But to top it off, I couldn't resist the banana pudding, which was just the perfect combo of sliced bananas, pudding and fluffy whipped cream. Totally satisfied and the first five star rating I have given on Yelp!

It's small so take your order as carry out and eat at the picnic tables! Or enjoy the amazing atmosphere in the tiny dining room. But either way try it! The brisket=chef's kiss. The porky wrapper=fat kid HEAVEN P.s. it's sweet tea like your Mamaw made

The brisket is amazing.. the chicken was a little salty, but it was ok and the pork was good. I tried all three. The service was okay. The restaurant is small, but cozy. Overall I would recommend.

The food was good, but the major drawback is that a large plate only had four ribs, one of which you could barely call a rib. The second, drawback for me is that the ribs came with sauce already on them. That's like a major no-no in my book. I know, everybody has their preference, but I prefer to sauce my own food if I feel that it's necessary. To be honest, barbecue should stand on its own without sauce and sauce should only be there to enhance the flavor. The meat was tender, but I couldn't really get a feel for the flavor of the meat because the sauce interfered with that. The pulled pork plate was good. Also, my girlfriend said she enjoyed that. But again, sauce should come on the side in my opinion. I have no real complaint against this place, but I wish I had known ahead of time that the ribs came with sauce on them and I wish that I had known that there were only four ribs on the plate, I would've ordered a whole rack. Prices are good, the place is clean, and as I said, the owners are very welcoming and warm people. Give this place a go, it's worth a trip! But just ask questions before you order!

Customer service and atmosphere are still solid, and the presentation of the food was great! Everything looked delicious when it arrived. This time, I decided to try something different and ordered the smoked wings platter with white BBQ sauce, baked beans, and potato salad. Jalapeño Cornbread was added to each meal. Unfortunately, the smoked wings were a letdown. They had a fatty underdone texture that was unappealing. It was almost as if a step was missed in the cooking process. They were just too soft for my liking. Also, I'm not a fan of Jalapeño Cornbread. I prefer my Cornbread without the jalapeños, but I ate most it anyway. For some reason, the Jalapeño Cornbread had a dish soap taste to it. It was weird. On the positive side, the baked beans were flavorful with a nice kick, and the potato salad was just as good as I remembered. Is Edley's still our go-to BBQ spot? Absolutely! Will I order the smoked wings again? Definitely not.
