Rachel was SUPER RUDE to my wife tonight 8/13/2019 when we were all trying to pay our admission to country farm exhibit. She rudely yelled "ZIP CODE! ZIP CODE!" at us when we were just making sure we had all of our kids paid for. She then had a really bad attitude towards my sister and her family and made a comment "well your kid was with them so.." and that's when we had enough and had to report her to the working manager. She walked away and didn't even apologize for yelling at us for no apparent reason. The other workers were very kind and apologized for her behavior. She needs training. read more

We visited the Museum of Ancient Life and the Butterfly exhibit. First, the museum of ancient life was worth the cost. Kids loved it and there was a lot of hands on activities as well. A must for dino lovers! We could have spent way more time than than we did, but alas, we need to leave to eat eventually. Second, the butterfly exhibit was so neat. Seeing them all fluttering around all colors and sizes it was magical. Everyone, especially the kids loved it. Though it was way overpriced in my opinion, but its neat to go at least once if youve never experienced butterflies like this before. Crowds were manageable, even on a holiday weekend I was pleasantly suprised. read more

I don't think I'll ever quite know how to categorize Thanksgiving Point. It's a multi faceted event space, and agricultural center with a working farm, garden, golf course and more. They've even managed to fit a museum on the premises. They also have a less cool version of the Clark Planetarium, where they show earth exploration films and the like. The gardens are really spectacular, and I have visited now twice: once for the Tulip Festival and once during the Holiday Season to see the Christmas lights. I'm actually impressed with how large these gardens are, and they are in immaculate condition, despite the people who find it appropriate to walk on freshly mowed lawns right next to the "keep off the grass sign". Why do people do this? Both of these events are worth seeing, but they are both so saturated with families and children, that I would recommend coming on week days if possible. Lovely garden and space in general, clientele makes it a bit of a bust. read more

Review is for the Utah Valley Renaissance Fair: HUZZAH! Dost thou love (loveth ) stunning costumes, fairies, real period weaponry, interesting Celtic music and all thing fantasy ? This event was very well done especially considering it is a smaller area. Plenty of vendors for clothing, weapons, snacks, books and so many more. Most impressive was the face painter who charged basically nothing for stunning face painting and was incredibly patient. The bubble fairy was quite the attraction for the children, huge bubbles and surprising Littles with fairy stones. The food options were decent enough , everything was incredibly well priced. The staff was friendly and very interactive with children. Nothing really needs improving however if more activities were added for children ( games, dancing and what not) it would blow the leaves off the trees with fun. read more

I held a Wedding Dinner here. This is a great location off of I-15 in Lehi. The event room is above the Harvest Restaurant. I chose the fixed-headcount plated dinner in the Velvet Room. The room itself is very nice with a engraved ceiling, beautiful lamps and color schemes, and real velvet on the walls. The arrangement of the dinner were straight-forward and the event staff were very responsive and walked me through the whole process. I did all the arranging over email. The staff accommodated a visit to the facility to see the room. There are a variety of food choices; you also get to pick the linen colors and have complementary center pieces. On the night of the event, the room was set up beautifully and the tables looked great with the place settings. You have complementary use of the sound system and projector, which was great as we showed a slideshow and a movie during our dinner. The food was delicious: we had the strawberry salad, Parmesan-crusted chicken, and the chocolate cake. The food was plated nicely; the food came out hot and fresh. The table service was efficient and timely; the courses came out at just the right time and the staff was attentive to what was going on in the room. The event came off perfectly. The room and food were so good that I was proud to be hosting the dinner there. The only glitch was during the food selection planning. The menu said that you have the option of a second entree for an additional fee. I thought that meant that you can add a second choice, either/or. Actually, selecting the second entree option means that you get two entrees per person. We cleared that up during one of the follow-up discussions, but we had to get the Wedding Dinner invitations redone to remove the choice of entree. But this all was a simple misunderstanding that was rectified quickly and all was well. I would definitely hold an event here again. read more

As a mom of 3 I just have to say that Thanksgiving Point is THE place to go for fun activities and entertainment. I 10000% recommend getting a membership. The museums and activities can be a bit pricey on their own but if you get a pass it pays itself off within maybe 3-4 visits. So so worth it! We love the butterfly museum, children's museum of curiosity, the farm country, dinosaur museum and the list goes on! One of our VERY favorite things that happens once a year is their Tulip Festival. It's breathtaking and a must see! We will probably get a pass every year as long as we live here. read more

Disco ball, Alphaville, virgin ale, fatty prime. This is a nice big event venue with tiered table floor space and a large main floor. A deep stage makes this a versatile space. High barnly ceilings make this place primed for a disco ball and Alphaville. Catering services will bring you fatty prime rib, tiny cheesecake, and some sort of Virgin Ale. Really friendly staff. Weird lighting and inconsistent sound. We enjoy our company party here every year. read more

I went here to see Lumineria. They did a great job with the lights, very colorful. However, a large portion of the path has you walk through a bunch of religious sculptures. I was not expecting this, as this activity is advertised as a celebration of lights. If I want religion, I will go somewhere for it. Please don't force that on me when I am here for a light hearted activity. It does cost $17 per adult which is a bit steep for walking around lights. I don't see myself coming back to this in the future. read more

Having waited for a few years i was excited to visited the Tulip Festival this year. I will not ever go again. 1st problem the path that those walking some with stroller, some with wheel chairs, and those with small children were all on the same path as golf carts. We witnessed many being driven by children while the parents rode in the cart. There were many close calls. We had an elderly woman in a wheel chair and we were asked to move so the golf cart could go by us. This is a serious accident waiting to happen. 2nd the bathrooms are few and very far apart. They are nice but so far apart and markings for them not very helpful. It was brutal with our wheelchair to find one and then get there. If the internet had warned us at all about the bathrooms we would have got a golf cart. 3rd. The commercials and the internet are deceiving. They need to let you know that it is many small flower beds of tulips. I felt like I paid $25.00 to take a walk thru my neighborhood and look at everyone's flower beds. Just add in lots of pedestrians with strollers, wheelchairs and wagons. With golf carts moving in and out of your path that are being driven by amateurs. I hope any good will come from this review but as with most things it's about money. read more

We attended Ignite Salt Lake at the Barn, and it was a fantastic event. The barn is huge and thus able to accommodate quite a large crowd. A/V was definitely sufficient for us. If I ever need to host a large event, I'll definitely take a look at the Show Barn. Even if it does sound like we're animals at the county fair. read more

Today I had premiere tickets to Luminaria. Your stuff at first was completely nice and attentive and was more than willing to work with us after being in an accident at first. They let us pick any day of the week next week to come to enjoy the lights. This is something that we typically enjoy doing every year. However this year because of an accident that happened when I first place the order for the wrong date (And as soon as I realized ( further in advance than 24 hours)) you decided that even though I was told that was fine and updated the rest of the people with the rep getting manger approval 1st, you completely go back on your word. I could have had all but two of the tickets used to night. even though it was only $200 this year I will not be doing service with this company when you dont keep up you end of the service. read more

Here for a conference and the air conditioning is not working or not able to be turned on today. We have babies, pregnant mamas and older ladies and it's over 100 degrees outside and no air in this building. We did get the catered lunch, salad and soup and it was very tasty. read more

I came here for the tulip fest. It is not my first visit but there is always something new to see. We came for a birthday party with just the girls in the family. We had so much fun and the gardens were fabulous. We rented golf carts which added to the fun and excitement. I suggest the golf carts no matter what the age of the group. So fun. I noticed they are adding new areas to the garden which I'll be excited to see. There is so much to do and always a great time. I bring out of town guests to show off our great state. read more

We went here for the Tulip Festival 2016 like we do every year. It was very pretty like it always is but sadly about 1/3 of the tulips haven't bloomed yet. So there are large sections that are not stunningly beautiful with color like normal. Plus it was super cold and windy but that has nothing to do with Thanksgiving Point. I just wish they would have pushed the Tulip Festival back a week so it was more enjoyable. Plus I want to add that I think the carts are obnoxious, especially because anyone can drive them and they tend to be rude people. read more

More of a lush open field than an 'amphitheatre' per say; still an incredibly enjoyable concert venue with especially polite and nice patron base going to shows (the few ones that they have here). I have attended one event here: Arcade Fire/LCD Soundsystem. I even ran into Richard Reed Perry in the Dinosaur museum before the show. They do search you intensively before entering, but the important thing is that they let you keep your shoes on (SEE Marquee Theatre review). Staff for shows, which are brought on from outside, are grizzly and not what one would picture for Utah; permanent staff from Thanksgiving Point is incredibly 'Utah'. Almost exhaustively nice. Kids queue early in UT, in the summer, in the freezing cold, anytime, so if your intention is to be first in queue you have to go nuclear (preceding night camp). - E read more

Summary: If you value what's in your wallet, you will choose a different venue for your event or wedding. You will be charged a lot over the contracted fee. We had our daughters wedding there a month ago and we were very explicit on the contract to not go over on food, linens, etc. Over and over again we reiterated this. The event was nice. But afterward things soured quickly as we got a bill for $1300 over the contracted price. Lots of turnover of staff and accounting problems led to this mess. After spending much time dealing with it, they finally agreed to takeoff the additional charges except for taxes. That was OK and we authorized that amount sent to us on an email. When it charged our credit card, it was an additional $200 over what we had been told and agreed to. $1300 or $200 over is not OK by anyones wallet . They made up some accounting excuse and we are currently disputing this with the credit card company. They cant stay to the amount on the contract and you can never get anybody to answer you via email or get anybody on the phone. I recommend taking your event to a place with customer service and who doesn't sour the experience with ridiculous fees afterwards that nobody agreed to. read more

I've attended an annual charity dinner two years in a row here and its always been a pleasure. Its a large venue with plenty of space for dinner tables. There's a large main floor and 2 additional tiers big enough for more tables. The stage and acoustics seem to be pretty top notch as each years musical performer has sounded great. The parking is pretty vast and is located right in front of the entrance. Its probably related to the particular event's setup that I've been to but if you need to have a large sign in area prior to a dinner or other event there's not really a great place to do it. There's no foyer or entry way big enough to put a small group of people in along with sign in tables. There always seems to be a line to get in the building with the sign in tables in front. Also if you're having an event here please don't assume your guest are all Utah County folk. Honestly people talk about Thanksgiving Point like we all should know where it is if we have an address in Utah. Give the exit and directions to get to the place, if you're coming from Salt Lake you won't see it because you need to exit before not after the development. Overall, great place to have an event. I look forward to going to the venue each year. read more

SUPER SCIENCE CAMP-THANKSGIVING POINT June 4-7, 2018 The first day our 4 year old said, "I was LOST" She was LEFT by the staff you entrust your young child, in the basement of the museum alone crying. A mom with other children grabbed her and took her up to the main floor. She searched and found her group leaders. Yes, they LEFT a 4 year old in a public place; where a not so nice person could have grabbed her. They are not in an enclosed area/room teaching science it appears. The next day I told the lady under the tent what had happened to a 4 year old, she had no idea, no one had told her. But she laughed and thought that "was cute" what a 4 year old said. CUTE?!?! And that she would ask what took place with the staff. She later came over to my car and said that the staff realized she was missing when they did a head count UPSTAIRS. No head count was done before leaving the basement floor of the museum!!!! Her attitude was, it was no big deal, it was like a lady brought her up to the staff on the main floor. And she said, Oh, by the way, a child kicked her in her face today and she had a bloody nose. This is all unacceptable. FYI-This camp is quite pricey for four days - $125.00. She brought home a toilet tissue roll bug, day one and a coffee filter butterfly day two. Nothing day 3. I do not expect crafts at a science camp, but if you are going to make crafts, and they have. Maybe you should order something nice related to science camp. We all make things out of toilet tissue rolls when they are two years old. This is a science camp and a pricey one. No shirts are provided to distinguish your child at camp, from the hundreds in the museum for the day. That would help so much. My qualifications are I have attended both program and administration National Camp School. I have certificates from National Camp School. I have ran day camps from 200 children in Georgia, to 500 children in California. I have ran Cub Scout Day Camps for 8 years, Girl Scout Day Camps for 2 years, and Girls Camp for 2 years. I have taught adults at National Camp School for 10 years, in program and administration. This is so unorganized. with no pre-thought what so ever at all. No papers coming home to ask your child what they did. Nothing. You have no idea. Tomorrow is her last day. She is signed up for two more camps with Thanksgiving Point. Changes need to be made. I am going in tomorrow to keep an eye on her because the staff can't seem too. Thanksgiving Point we expect more from you. read more

I love thanksgiving point. So beautiful, so many activities, and so so much fun. They always have lots of events you can go to year round enjoyable for the whole family. Unfortunately as much as I love thanksgiving point it's overpriced. $15 admission for most things. I'm always want to go to some events but then I think about paying $15 and say I'm not sure if it's worth that much to me. So I just select a few a year to go to. I'm sure if admission price was more reasonable I would want to go to more events but it's not. Fun when we go! read more

I went to Luminaria at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi, Utah. It was one of the most spectacular Christmas displays I have ever seen. It takes place in the Ashton Gardens at Thanksgiving Point. The gardens are transformed each year into elaborate Christmas-oriented displays that include lighting, electronics, sound, and sculpture. It was very cold, so I moved through the 1-mile long path fairly quickly. There was one only-in-Utah display that I nearly spontaneously learned to do backflips for. read more

We had to purchase our tickets in advance. My wife got the flu, and we tried to refund her $20 ticket. Thanksgiving Point told us there is a no refund policy, but that we could change our tickets to a different date for a $10 charge. I asked to speak to a manager, and the manager hung up on me. I was pleasant and reasonable during my conversation with the manager, and there was no excuse for the bad customer service. We will never return to Lumineria!! In fact, my church youth program, which involves about 35 youth, was planning on attending Lunineria next year, and I will make sure that they attend a different Christmas activity. read more

Worst management of an event I've ever seen for this eclipse. Don't waste your time for any large scale event. They had members and non members waiting in a line and then split it 1.5 hrs in, but first told the people at the very end of the line that just got there and hadn't waited. I'm sure they were ecstatic, but that is not the right way to do it. Start with the people at the front and then smoke back through the line. They are not good business people either. If they wanted more new members they should have created a new member line so that anyone wanting to skip the non member line and sign up for a membership could go up and reduce wait time. No one wanted to take responsibility when asked. Everyone there apparently is "too low on the totem pole". Overall very poor experience. read more

First I want to say thanksgiving point is NOT handicap friendly. Last night we had a family Christmas party of about 30 people in the velvet room on the second floor, when we got there NONE of the curbs were cleared of ice and snow, so it took several older handicap people at least 25 mins to get onto the sidewalk. After getting in we were informed the elevators DID NOT work, but they had been working on that issue for a while, then they laughed. One lady offed your help me get several people up 58 steps, which cause us to have less time for our party, when I complained our time had been eaten up with the snow on the curbs and no elevator, I was told, take it up with management it wasn't their fault. Then going into the restrooms, there are no safety bars for older or handicap people. And it just continued like this all the way through our very expensive dinner ( which was cold and very tough) then it took us another 30 mins to get down the stairs. Luminaire tkts we're pretty expensive too and we were running behind because of the issues like the snow and ice all the way down the curb and all the way around.once we made it out side my 85 yr old husband slipped in the snow and ice trying to get into the car.if this place had been A lot cheaper, wouldn't complain, you expect that at inferior places, so I was completely surprised and disappointed. And the fact that they didn't care was painfully obvious. So I would say, save you money and your loved ones and go someplace else. Isn't it a state code that they need safety bars in the bathroom and a working elevator. I only put one. Star because I had to in order to post a review. The dinosaur museum used to be alot nicer. They have let it go and worst of all they have painted over the iconic T-rex that was on the side of the building. My grandson loved that t-rex so much we used to go there even when it was closed just so he could look at it. You could see it from the train, the freeway. Now its just a plain blank wall. The gardens are breathtakingly beautiful. My youngest really likes Farm Country, specially when they have the animal babies. The Museum of Curiosity was also a lot of fun for little ones. The Museum of Ancient Life needs a major facelift. It was awesome but many of the hands on activities are very much dilapidated. This place is the place to go if you want to spend the day with mask cops all over you, the entire time! They have the worst mask policy. They make no sense. They will call the police on you even if you have a medical condition. They will lie to the police and say you are harassing their staff even if you question the mask policy. The stupidest thing is they require a mask outside. They will permanently ban you for questioning any part of the policy. If you bought a membership and they will not refund your money, go to your bank. Explain to the bank that it can be difficult to use your membership because they make you schedule a time to go. When you want to visit, most of the time, you will find you can't because the day is already booked out. If you can't use your membership when you want, what is the point of having it? This place does not deserve our money or our time if they are going to be so disrespectful to the patrons who keep them in business. read more

My family went to the Luminaria light exhibit tonight for what we were hoping would be a new holiday tradition. We purchased our tickets for Luminaria online as well as a separate fire pit reservation for 8 people. There was a note in the description for the fire pit stating that admission to Luminaria was not included with the fire pit reservation, which made perfect sense. Since we are visiting from out of state, and there are only four people in our family, we invited some friends who live near Thanksgiving Point to fill the extra four spots around the fire pit with us. However, the Thanksgiving Point website made no mention that use of the fire pit required admission to Luminaria. In other words, in order for our friends to join us, they would have had to pay to see the lights, something they were not interested in doing. We didn't discover this until we arrived at the entrance to the exhibit, so we asked that an exception be made due to the insufficient information on the website. The woman working the reception desk was dismissive and rather rude about the whole thing and offered no apology for the confusion caused by the website. It wasn't a great way to start off what was supposed to be a special night for my family. The light show was pretty, but the fire pit was a let down in the end. They were not as private as described, with people walking all around the area, we kind of felt like we were on display. Adding insult to injury, one of our benches seemed to be barely holding together and our s'mores kit contained broken graham crackers and chocolate bars that had been melted and had only semi-solidified, making them really messy and hard to remove from the wrapper. Not worth the $75 we paid for it, especially without the company of our friends. Too bad, Thanksgiving Point. Your poor customer service makes it difficult for me to want to visit in the future. You may want to work on that. read more

I live in San Diego and haven't seen some of these women and about 20 years. You made our reunion a wonderful, wonderful time. I have always been impressed with Thanksgiving Point. The grounds are always immaculate and they have beautiful gardens to walk through. There are always fun things going on throughout the year such as the Scottish Festival, or farmers' markets. I have never been disappointed with my visits to Thanksgiving Point. We even got married there and they surpassed all of our expectations on our special day. Not only is it a great place to visit, it's an easy place to visit with quick access to the freeway and plenty of parking! read more
