They are not a school, but rather a place where your student can put into practice the skills they are learning elsewhere. However, they will still learn a ton from the hands-on experience! My middle school student has been participating in one of the bands for several months and has found the group to be highly supportive and is gaining confidence in his performing ability. As a non-musical person, I enjoy coming to the shows to support the bands. They are all very good and I'm surprised at the talent and skills of such young people.

To all D2D sales people who are potentially looking for a service to help you with your taxes. Keep…read morelooking. These guys are a joke. They hit me up on my instagram told me they were better than the service I was already using. They set up a meeting and in the meeting they said we are amazing about communication. That is something you don't get at your current guy. So I took the leap. And everything since then has been an absolute nightmare!! First they started by setting up my direct deposit with their payroll system with ADP. Which doesn't seem like a big deal but what it means is now they have the ability to withdrawal money from your account with ease at anytime whenever they want. And better yet they will give you 0 warning when they do. The day before a huge trip I had $750 taken out of my account without warning. First they will act like it's not a big deal. Then they will give you a crap excuse and explanation and when you ask for an invoice they let ADP take the blame. $750 bucks is one thing. A whole other thing is the random $5, $7, $12, $89, $125 charges that happen like every week. At this point I'm so confused by what's going on that I'm calling and texting them trying to get to the bottom of things. And they let me know some of those are valid charges and some are accidental and will be refunded. With the last person I used for taxes they had me fill out a single page paper questionnaire and then they literally did all the work sent me the itemized invoices. It was simple easy and I didn't have to do any work. These guys. Will ask you to do a new chore every week on different softwares you've never explored. When you're doing the recruiting game and have no time for this type of stuff it's pretty frustrating to be told over and over that you need to do a bunch of chores for them. And God forbid you ever show any disdain for having to do all of this work for them. They will belittle you and tell you that it's not a lot and that it is all easy work. Yeah maybe if you went to school for accounting for four years dude. No my experience with these guys was absolutely horrible. I recommend everyone stay as far away from them as possible especially if you're in D2D. As sales people we pay people to take care of our taxes not to make us feel small, belittle us, shame us for not knowing how to run their complex softwares (that claim over and over again are so easy), or shame us for not having a crazy amount of time to do the ton of chores they give you, and then the worst part is all the random charging of your accounts, total lack of transparency and lack of itemized invoices. I have since talked to several accounts while search for a new one. I have let them read every message sent between me and these guys. These separate accountants have said that they believe it is asinine that TAG tax would use ADP for payroll on an LLC that employs one person. On a massive company it makes sense. They also said that they think it's crazy there are random charges that need to be refunded. I get that people make mistakes but it's more the lack of accountability and pointing the blame to ADP constantly rather than saying maybe it's our fault for using this payroll in the first place. This other accountant said that you don't need payroll that often and certainly not at that price. They warned me to get out while I could because these guys were not just overcharging me but actually running me to the ground. Bottom line these guys treat you like garbage. Talk down to you. Charge you without your permission. Run you for a loop for your money. It's ridiculous and no one should do business with them without reading this first. And I will make sure that the D2D space is aware of this scam before giving these dudes a dime.

I have been with Stars for a few years now and wanted to share my experience. I didn't have any background as an actor and wanted to know how to start. I was told that I needed a headshot, a resume, and a reel to be signed on. I got those things taken care of through Utah Talent Academy and when finished, I showed Amber. I was able to take part in so many shows like Hallmark and Blood and Oil and even a movie with James Franco. I know you can't just walk on and get jobs which I think a lot of people feel like they can do.. you need to show your stuff professionally. Stars doesn't develop you. You are told to get trained then come back. They also are there to help you with anything that doesn't seem up to par. We need people like that so we can book more often. Don't be afraid to start with nothing because Stars has shown me that through getting my materials all put together, I can be offered many many roles based upon my eligibility. We love Stars Talent Studio! My two daughters and I have been working with them for the last 8 months now, and we have been more than impressed with everyone there. Stars works hard to make sure everyone is well-trained, professional and has opportunities. For us this included being referred to Utah Talent Academy. In particular we love Ali, Liz, Amber and Alex. They all have been very professional, and have shared valuable guidance and feedback throughout our experience. Stars Talent Studio is an amazing agency! I've read some of the reviews and wanted to clarify a few things. An agency represents trained talent. If you're not trained, you'll be guided to get that from somewhere, come back and get signed! Very easy. You don't pay to be in any agency but people think that they are able to get represented without having anything to offer other than good looks. Agencies don't work that way. Go to an agency with proper documentation then know if you're singable based upon that. I'm grateful there is a program out there that helps with these things because I was clueless! read more

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this agency. I had no clue where to start and just having that feedback in my initial interview really helped me to know what to do and how to get there. This is the first agency I have worked with which actually grooms you for rolls and auditions. They expect professionals and will guide you through the process to reach that standard. It will include classes, professional headshots, and professional reels. The staff is extremely helpful and courteous. I Just signed with them a couple months ago and have had two high-end auditions. And it's refreshing to see shows that aren't done everywhere. I believe their mantra is "We're Not Going To Do Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat." Not that there's anything wrong with that show, but I do have this theory that it's much like Seinfeld, in that no matter the date it's playing somewhere in the world. Because of the selectivity of their schedule, it's never going to appeal to massive crowds. And so they'll probably always have a limited budget and limited resources. They do squeeze the most out of those resources, and the shows look pretty good. They also find some good talent, so I've never been awkwardly underwhelmed. Worth checking out. Shows aren't totally expensive, and though they're simply staged and locally done it's still enough for real enjoyment.

They run on the weekends from Thursday - Saturday (sometimes they show a matinee on Saturdays. Tickets are $15 for their shows. I have seen more than one of their productions. They usually do shows with smaller casts and the theater they play in, The Midvale Performing Arts Center, is an intimate venue. Their shows can sometimes be edgy, but they always are high class productions. The producers hire talented staff who cast talented actors. I have seen these same actors play at Hale, Desert Star, Pioneer, and many other local community theaters. I am a fan of this theater company, I encourage everyone to check them out. Tickets are always available online on their website or at the door. They also sell apparel merchandise like shirts and hats. Concessions are for sale as well. Run, don't walk, and see Pinnacle's next show. And the one after that. And the one after that!

We're pretty sure the tortilla in the breakfast burrito was handmade and the woman selling the corn cake, told us all about the significance of corn cakes in the Navajo culture. What an immersive experience! I heard that they are talking about doing these markets once a month. I hope they do this again! And I hope they expand the food vendors. We bought a couple of pieces of jewelry. I usually prefer buying ethnic jewelry or clothing directly from the person who identifies as part of that culture. Usually you will see better pricing and you are less likely to get ripped off. They can also explain the cultural significance so you know you won't be offending someone by accidentally buying something with a serious religious significance. I am very happy with what we got! The last time I touched watercolors was in elementary school art class. I'm not a great artist, but…read moreI'm adventurous and always willing to try something once. I found The Art Cottage and learned that they do watercolor classes-and figured I'd give it a try. You do need to call or go online to reserve your spot-space is limited. I called and was able to get in easily for the day and time that worked for my schedule. I showed up a few minutes early and was setup at my station with paint, paper & brushes. I was ready to go! The class was brief-I learned a few basic strokes and techniques in watercolor. Gradient painting where you start very light and work your way into the darkest version of a color. I also learned the "wet on wet" and "wet on dry" techniques and when it would be appropriate to use each. I also learned how to fix mistakes and turn them into more intentional pieces of the art. I really channeled my inner Bob Ross turning things into birds and clouds. After the instruction, I was set loose to do a painting. There were some binders full of examples to provide inspiration, but no step by step instruction, which is different from other canvass/acrylic painting classes I've done elsewhere. I applied the techniques I had learned in the lesson and some suggestions from the instructor. Although my painting might not be one worthy of hanging in a gallery, I enjoyed myself and would recommend taking a class to anyone who might be mildly interested in watercolor.
