This was our first time dining at Thaikyo. We were two couples. It's located in a beautiful plaza and very close to the Ocean. There was live music but we were sitting in the rear so we truly couldn't enjoy it. Our waitress, Samantha was adorable and very competent. We ordered drinks at first. There was a wonderful selection of martinis and specialty drinks. I had the Lychee martini which was perfecto! The spare ribs were amazing - fell off the bone and no fat. There were only 4 to the order but later Samantha said they also had larger racks - it wasn't on the menu. We also had pork and chicken dumplings slightly sautéed and delicious. We ordered the special rice for the table which was packed with large shrimp, chicken, pork and if you wanted, sausage. I ordered the Seabass entree with veggies. My friend had the Mongolian beef which was amazing! Her husband had the drunken noodles. My husband had the filet mignon steak with veggies because he thought it would be soft enough for him to chew-recent dental work was his issue. Unfortunately his beef was tough and we had to report to the manager- Milton. He brought him another dish instead- the Mongolian beef which was incredible. So be leery of their filet mignon. I forgot how nice this area was. I use to come here all the time when I lived in Lake Worth. Met up with an old friend tonight and we decided to have some sushi. I've been here before and the sushi was great. We both enjoyed the meal and the ambiance. The staff were great and we will definitely visit this location again. If you're in the area the beach is a must visit as well. I use to come to this beach all the time when I lived in the area. Definitely recommend this spot for your sushi choice. read more

This is a classic place for me! My family and I have probably been here over 30 times. It's a low key place with delicious food. The ambiance is not really the best representation of how good the food is. They have good Thai dishes and a large sushi menu. It was my wife's 61st birthday and all our kids and grandchild were there. The staff and owners made it a most memorable evening to include special drinks, a birthday song and wish, and a special dessert. Our oldest said he may never get sushi and sashimi anywhere else. I spent 6 years in Hawaii and over 5 years in Japan, also Okinawa, Philippines, and Korea and this was some of the best and freshest sushi and sashimi that I've had in a very long time. Really average Asian fusion cuisine. I ordered the ginger preparation with fried snapper. I've ordered ginger stir fry at Thai restaurants for years and never had one that came in a heavy Chinese style brown sauce. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't good either. Maybe this isn't their forte. I saw a ton of dishes leave the kitchen that looked like they had a similar brown sticky sauce. It's not for me. read more

My boyfriend had the volcano- deep fried chicken served with a spicy chili sauce on top. He was in heaven. His dad had duck. It is VERY difficult to find a restaurant that does not overcook duck, so we usually don't order it. At Thaikyo it is succulent , tender, and juicy. A must have if you enjoy duck. Food quality: It is a Japanese & Thai restaurant with a sushi bar. The food is good but you don't expect authentic Asian flavors. We ordered sushi (Beauty and the best roll. It was fresh and good, but nothing special. Very standard flavors) and Pad Thai (rice noodles sautéed, beansprouts, scallions, peanuts and you can add any protein like chicken/beef/shrimp. This plate come with rice). The portions are big, the food is good, and the flavors are very American and not true Asian. Price: the prices are ok for the quality and portions of the food. We ordered 2 dishes for around $30 plus tip. Atmosphere: I like this place; you can sit inside or outside. The decoration is nice and they play nice music that doesn't disturb you. It has a happy atmosphere. Recommendation: I visited this place for lunch, so it was quiet. I don't think you need a reservation. The restaurant is big. Ordered two speciality sushi rolls; they were gorgeous and fresh and delicious. Got the broccoli lovers with giant shrimp in brown sauce and the Singapore noodle is to die for. The waiter was nice, helpful and everyone was respectful of space and appeared to want to make it a safe and nice ambience. I have taken out from here and gotten delivery. Was in the area on vacation and looked up beach restaurants. While this place is not in the beach, that was the only disappointment we had. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating. Our meals were fantastic. The drunken noodles were very soft along with blending nicely with the chicken and veggies. We also ordered two sushi rolls. We were unsure of the Beachside when we ordered it but we got it with a side of eel sauce. My wife and I agreed it was probably the best sushi we had in our lives. The Alaskan was also good just had a tough act to follow. Topping it off was the chocolate desert. Very fluffy and light, with a hint of dark chocolate to balance it out. A quiet and nice little restaurant. They have a nice outdoors sitting area. It is nicely spaced. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the staff is nice. It opens at 3. It is a good place for a late lunch. The bathrooms a little messy. I had the soup. It was a tomato like soup. It had large pieces of tomatoes. It was OK the tomato flavor was strong. The salad was good. It was a simple cucumbers and lettuce salad with a nice salad dressing. A ginger dressing. I enjoyed it. It came with the dinner. I ordered a team fish filet. It was steamed with ginger. I really liked the dish. The fish came with a sauce. A dark sauce. It tasted a little like soy but not as strong favored. It was good. The dish also came with a side of rice. I chosed white rice. I really liked the rice. It had a good flavor. This dish was light and filling. I was happy with my choice. Started with the young lady who took my order was very sweet but rather fast when I really wanted to go over everything carefully. The sunomono appetizer was good I prefer a more vinegary taste however it was fresh and had lots of cucumber which were good things. I ordered something I have never had before but I really enjoyed the taste very much. Penang curry with mixed seafood no rice. Actually from my senses excellent. No one asked how hot I wanted it however. Now I don't eat rice so I asked if they had Naruto rolls and I was told yes I ordered one got home and guess what someone wrote down rainbow roll. Which this was not and it was not a Naruto. $16.00 ill spent. As I was planning to have that for lunch tomorrow. The salad that came with the Penang Curry was a teaspoon full. One of the best places to eat in Lantana. We always get the Tom Yum Soup (the spices are on point), Edamame (always perfectly salted) , and recently the Bangkok shrimp has become our favorite rolls due to our amazing waitress' suggestion, (followed by the Mexican roll ((especially in mango season)) and Dragon roll). The beef satay comes sizzling hot with amazing honey/garlic and Thai peanut sauces. Their spring rolls are so crispy and light, served with a sweet orange sauce. We've also enjoyed the dim sum, gyoza, and Asian Bbq ribs. All are quite tasty . Everything here is so fresh and delicious. Never had a bad experience or meal here. The red bean ice cream is our favorite sweet here, followed by the Thai tea and Thai donuts (so crispy and light with the sweet condensed milk drizzled on) Fridays and Saturdays they have live piano and singing, which we always enjoy. Table side lotus candles and handmade painting on the walls. Great management who always great us with a smile no matter how long since we've been back! Amazing food, even better service. Can't ever go wrong. Thaikyo sits at the end of a strip mall located right across the street from an ocean-front hotel we are visiting. After eating a couple of meals in the hotel, we decided to venture out for some sushi on a Monday night. Thaikyo was just a quick walk. I made our reservation through Yelp, so we were easily accommodated upon arrival. It was busy - people we're at the bar and the restaurant was nearly full! It took a little while for waitress to visit our table, but once she did everything rolled right along. We ordered Miso soup and vegetable spring rolls as our appetizers. For dinner, we tried two sushi rolls (My First Love and Dragon Roll II). I'm allergic to all fish except salmon, which the waitress and kitchen navigated perfectly. We splurged on a bit of rice, too, with my boyfriend ordering a side of chicken fried rice and me a side of steamed white rice. We couldn't finish it all and that was the plan. We just wanted to try a bit of everything. It was delicious - EVERY bite! If we lived here, we would definitely be regulars at Thaikyo. Note: I didn't see any children here and it was early on a Monday night. Just wanted you to be aware as it appears to lean towards more of an adult crowd. read more
