The absolute tiniest rice portion I've ever been given from any restaurant:(
Kara E.

Before you read my review understand that I've been to Thailand over 7 times and lived there for one month last year. I was generous giving 2 a 2 star rating .We ordered our meals through Uber eats . Unfortunately, the Orange chicken had zero sauce on the chicken.and my boyfriend's first words when I asked him how his dish was "ITS horrible". He eats anything but really was unhappy with his meal . I ordered the chicken satay and rice let me just say I thought the rice was a kids portion and a JOKE ! Photo in review . If you want great Thai food before 11 pm I suggest Amazing Siam they definitely have the most authentic Thai food . If you must order from them I would do it at the restaurant and not by spending $92 for delivery w Uber eats when you can't send the food back. We also ordered the Pad see eww and Pad Thai I'm praying it's better than the first two dishes . FYI. I called the restaurant and a female answered and seemed as though she didn't believe me when I called to explain about how the orange chicken arrived . Her response was that of a person who really didn't care about how her food went out and really didn't care about my opinion.. unfortunate that the restaurant seems they do not care about the patrons that support them . It's so unfortunate and I am hoping they will read this review and remember that the success of their restaurant depends on the satisfaction of their patrons through the quality of their food.

My husband and I come here late nights since it's one of the few Thai places we know that is opened past 10/11pm. Their pad thai here is good but unfortunately the most recent visit for the chicken satay was not the best. It was chewy, super dry...it's definitely not your typical skewer on a stick. It was hard to chew through it. The spring rolls were okay...the peanut sauce made up for it.

A long hair entangled in the food. Gross.

This place has gone downhill unfortunately. It used to be super flavorful and now it's bland. The portions are insanely small and it's overpriced. I ordered chicken and veggies and there's maybe 2 tiny bite size chicken pieces and it has barely any flavor. The food was cold and soggy. The fried rice tastes like nothing. Super bummed. This place used to be a go to. :( Update: I also found a long hair wrapped in the rice. Gross.

Third time here and the food is still delicious. The food is made to order so it was still nice and hot when I got home. Just remember it is only a pick-up spot.

Crab fried rice

I ordered the Orange Chicken and Crab Fried Rice ,both were absolutely delicious! The flavors were so good, I highly recommend trying this place. There's no dine-in option, only pick-up, but the food is definitely worth it. I'll definitely be coming back again. The lady who helped me was very kind and friendly, which made the experience even better.

A good spot for ordering quick takeout at a decent price. The noodles were pretty standard and like something you'd get from any neighboring Thai place in the are. The part that caught me off guard was the portion size for the chicken - they were pretty generous and the seasoning was on point. This is not a sit-down location. It's more of a quick grab-and-go shop in a large warehouse that shares space with a dozen other shops. Lots of parking available, and there are pretty clear directions to guide customers to the place.

A delightful quaint eatery! Delectable dishes and with wonderful people; who not only want to see you full of their tasty meals. They make sure to fulfill your dietary needs. Stop by & say T.j., says hello & many thanks for servicing on nights that are less than pleasing (it was raining like a waterfall!).

$4 side of White Rice

Just ordered take out. Paid $4 for a tiny box of rice. Orange chicken was pretty much breading only. Terrible. Not even close to be worth the price paid.

I was working night shift on thanksgiving, and I placed a phone order. The girl was wonderful and stayed open for a little bit longer so I could pick up the food. The restaurant is located in a little building of commercial kitchen restaurants where people pick up food. It was easy to find with the signs out in the front. I have ordered delivery before from DoorDash/Uber eats but this was my first time picking up in person. The food is always fresh and their customer service was amazing.

Thai Bento is an amazing and refreshing enterprise! The food is authentic and excellent! I order often and this place really is my favorite take out ever. Everyone at my work have become fans of Nana's cooking. The portions are large and the prices are better than any fast food in town. Healthy food served until late after all the other places have closed. I've never been disappointed, Walk in orders accepted and the staff is respectful and friendly. Easy access, plenty of free parking and safe and clean environment. Favorites from my team include the BBQ ribs; the Chicken Noodle soup; homemade egg rolls, and my favorite, the Yellow Curry, absolutely delicious. There's always something special cooking, They even keep a special dedicated fryer for vegetarian items, always fresh. Mango and Sweet Sticky Rice for dessert. Best Thai füd anywhere near SFV! Delivery Drivers and other local restaurant owners and employees seem to love this place. One of San Fernando Valleys very best kept secrets. A must visit! You gotta try! You will become a regular too! Open and receiving orders until 12:30am! Support this place, We are always treated like family. No Monosodium Glutamate... totally fresh Ingredients! Awesome Sauce!

My new favorite place for Thai food. Authentic taste at reasonable price. Friendly staffs and clean kitchen.

Wish I would just stop listening to Yelp when it comes to the valley. You're so desperate for recognition you'll give anything 5 stars. Absolutely inedible garbage, once again LA proves to have zero good Thai food. Watered down over salted under seasoned unspiced flaming hot trash geared towards those whose basis of decent food is Red Lobster. It resembles neither Northern or Southern style Thai food, just Ralph's quality soup. My husbands Pad See Ew was comparable to Noodle World Jr. according to his words. Absolutely disgraceful Yelpers, do better. I posted the photo of the GH order for proof. Nice try though.

I think I've found my new spot for Vietnamese food when visiting family in Porter Ranch…read more Don't be put off by the appearance of this restaurant that's located in a small strip mall because not all that glitters is gold and this place doesn't glitter but it's gold. Once you enter the restaurant, you'll notice that the inside won't win any beauty contests or score points for ambiance but the food here is delicious. My dad and I ordered a couple of egg rolls, a charbroiled beef with rice, and an extra large pho with rare steak, brisket and well done flank. The serving of pho was a generous amount that was befitting of the extra large portion. The broth was delicious and piping hot and I'm wishing I could have another bowl as I'm writing this review hours after having finished dinner there. The egg roll was delicious! The egg roll came with some mint leaves and that was such a great compliment of flavor when taking each bite of the egg roll. This was the first time a restaurant I've been to included mint leaves as a side to go with the egg roll and now I think I'm going to request that every time I order egg rolls anywhere else. The charbroiled beef with rice was good. It's a solid dish that deserves to be tried at least once and would be a fall back dish if you weren't looking to explore their extensive menu. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal and the service here was very good.

I've had delicious Vietnamese crepe before at Jin Thai in Chicago. This isn't it. Greasy, gross, 3 shrimp (laughable), large slices of non cut pork, soggy, massive pile of bean sprouts and onions. Thai milk tea was tasty - boba inside could have been better. Inside was nice and bright. Service was good.

Very honest opinion: Not sure if I'm eating the same food as everyone else leaving reviews here,…read morebut I got the signature beef (Lanzhou) noodle soup combo and it was incredibly disappointing~mediocre. Server guy was chill. The food is served in a paper bowl, unlike the nice bowls you see in their pics. Tl;dr: if you're curious, don't waste your time, bafang is open 5min away Preface: I KNOW it's mall food, but for a restaurant that continuously pops up as #1 on Yelp whenever I search for food around the northridge/chatsworth area, I'm going to treat it as if it were a #1 spot. Beef noodle soup: to be very blunt, this was quite flavorless. The beef was dry as bones and looked like it was sliced with a mandoline. The noodles seemed undercooked and it felt like I was eating al dente spaghetti noodles. I got a medium spice level which didn't even seem that spicy, just a lot of cough inducing chili oil with no burn. Pan fried dumplings were ok. It honestly tasted like it was deep fried and not pan fried. Unsweetened black tea: hands down the best of the 3 things in the combo, which is quite telling. Honestly you get a decent amount of food for $15. But to constantly take the top 5 for recommended on Yelp in this area and waste my time to even look at it, it definitely doesn't belong remotely close to top 10.

The service was friendly and the wait was reasonable. Its located in the mall which means that you don't really get much of a vibe from this place alone but of everything surrounding. The soup was not spicy imo, I have a high tolerance, but it did have a good flavor. The noodles were thick and soft but they lacked a bit of flavor. The beef was soft and flavorful with the smaller bits of beef, which resembled ground beef, were very tasty. The soup was good overall but felt a bit too oily. The dumplings had a light crunchy exterior and the inside was juicy but it felt just a bit too mushy for me. Overall a good place and I would return to try something else.

We were greeted right away by the hostess and she also sat us down. Excellent customer service from the moment we came into the establishment until we left. The menu was on laminated paper which must be a few years old and felt disgusting to touch. I started with hot tea and it was served in a metal cup. I wish they served it in a nice ceramic container for customer's enjoyment. For lunch, we ordered chicken chow mein and their pork and crab dumpling (like a xiao long bao). The chicken chow mein had a boatload of cabbage and probably 10 strips of chow mein noodles. It should have been called cabbage noodles (lol). The pork and crab dumplings would have been a hit, but the dumpling shell had a "soapy" smell. The meat inside was soft and tasted good, but I couldn't get over the smell of the shell. We would have also wanted to try seaweed salad, but it was unavailable on this day. The parking at Northern Cafe is plenty. The staff is also courteous. But given the state of the food and overall feel, I give it only two stars. Truthfully, you can find better Chinese food close by this area. There's Maru Ramen on Reseda and Nordhoff, or Silverlake Ramen on Rinaldi. And no, I don't work for either of those places. All of this feedback is based on customer experience.

Every single dish we ordered -- from the appetizers to the main dishes and dessert -- was absolutely delicious. One of my favorites was the edamame. The sauce was so good that I actually took the leftover sauce home! What also makes them different from many other Japanese restaurants we've been to is the attention to detail in their customer service. Since there were six of us, they automatically gave everyone both chopsticks and forks without us even asking. I especially appreciated that because my mom usually has to request a fork at restaurants. The staff kept checking on us, refilling drinks proactively, and making sure we were comfortable throughout the meal. Even when we ordered mochi for dessert, they already cut it into shareable pieces and brought a fresh set of plastic forks for everyone. It's the little things that really make a difference -- excellent food, beautiful and clean atmosphere, amazing service, convenience, and thoughtful attention to customers. Definitely a 5-star experience for me and my family. Highly recommended!
