Shrimp fried rice dinner portion.
Emily L.

I'm back in visiting and since I'm in the area. I had to stop by my favorite Thai restaurant Thai Thai! Food is absolutely delicious as I remembered. Picked up my all time favorite shrimp fried rice and of course some sashimi. Friendly employees and amazing food.

A gem inside this town! Loved our meals today. I had a spicy shrimp entree with noodles and delicious plum wine. Great service and excellent experience the whole time. Five stars!!Beautiful restaurant!!

Spicy tuna roll packed with rice

I ordered spicy tuna and salmon teriyaki roll. The spicy tuna was just a piece of tuna in a roll, not grounded spicy tuna, the rice did not taste like sushi rice. The salmon tempura had more imitation crab meat than salmon. I original wanted to order basil chicken fried rice which is a staple of Thai restaurants and was not on their menu. The menu provided had very limited sushi items but there was a very nice sushi bar present in middle of restaurant. Go figure. My order was a takeout but I didn't get any chopsticks. The tuna was fresh and salmon tempura tasted good. Staff was very nice.

Welp............ I really wanted to love this. Thai Thai boasts Thai-Japanese-Chinese-pan-Asian cuisine in one go, and I was........ whelmed. Y'all, I'm all about cashing in the check for those unwitting non-Asian diners, so I'm not mad. I'm just disappointed :') Few COVID safety protocols in place. Some staff wear masks. No social distancing. Tables are sanitized. Lots of parking in the strip mall plaza. Their interior is stylized with Japanese-style booths and banners, but visibly worn. My seat was ripped TF UP, and our table surface seemed rife with dents and marks. Extremely understaffed. Servers were rushing from table to table, but somehow getting orders out in a timely manner. Props. SASHIMI APPETIZER: A little stale... The ice was melting, rapidly creating a bowl of mushy fish. Merp. For 12 pieces, not a bad price, but you get what you pay for. JB/TUNA/CALIFORNIA ROLLS: These were all fine. I'm also guilty of loving anything with cream cheese in it. SUPER VOLCANO ROLL: Where's the crunch? All this batter just for an oily shell of mush... Sad. Totally engulfs the roll and overpowers anything remotely fish-flavored. Slim Japanese options in Melbourne... Still makes Thai Thai mediocre at best.

The food was very good but the service was missing in non action. Nobody was busing the tables therefore I counted six dirty tables.

I used to come here once a week for their pad Thai but it has gotten really dry. The sushi is okay.

Volcano chicken is my favorite dish there. Service can get busy and the food is slightly overpriced but order take out to avoid long waits

Eating in is the way to go…read more Ordered som dumplings and to be honest could have been higher temp on the them. Safe to eat but hotter would have been better. The rolls when you eat in vice take are night and day. The tornado roll was delicious with four different raw fish on top. The fire dragon roll is also always a big hit with tempura shrimp complimented by the spicy tuna. For once we didn't order too much food. Our server actually brought us an older menu with more pictures with really helped so ask for the picture menu if having a hard time visualizing the rolls. The booths are clean and comfortable. Eat in. Way better.

Thai Thai II is solid, though not outstanding. The food is generally good, but there are a few…read morequirks worth noting. They are very strict about their hours and won't take to-go orders during the afternoon closure--or even shortly after reopening. I ordered the Pad Thai, which had good flavor but was on the dry side with very little sauce. I added duck, which unfortunately was both fatty and overcooked. My brother's dish looked appealing, but it ended up being similarly unmemorable. The atmosphere is relaxed and beach-casual, which is pleasant, but overall this was a decent meal rather than a standout one.

We were out shopping and surpassingly hadn't tried this place yet. It's in a great spot. When we…read morewalked and we were greeted promptly and sat. We were a party of six. I would go to Thai dishes at any Thai restaurant or Massa man in Penang. We weren't extremely hungry so our table of six ordered one kids teriyaki, two Massaman with chicken and white rice, and one order of Krab Rangoon's. I didn't try the chicken teriyaki but my girls (5 and 6) shared one kids meal and they ate all of it. So I feel that's a great indication it was good. The Krab Rangoons were oddly very fishy and very stringy. I'm used to them being not fishy, and having more of a mushy texture. The peculiar fishy taste threw me off. Yes it's fish, but the fishy taste is not usual. We didn't finish these. The Massaman was 5 stars. It wasn't watered down, and it had the nutty flavor we expect from Massaman. Two bowls were easily shared between 4 adults. The sodas are canned so just know this when ordering. I can't recall if the menus shows this. The restaurant could use a deep clean- the bathroom vents were quite dusty (the kids noticed this, I don't usually stare at vents ) which to me usually means the entire restaurant needs a bit more love and attention. Nothing was so bad though that I'd feel unsafe yo eat here just a bit more care. The service was fine. Nothing superb, nothing bad. The servers did their job and that was it.

Ordered door dash and all was good with that. I typically drink the Tom Yum broth and then eat the…read morechicken, tomatoes, mushrooms last. You can see how little they actually put in the soup from this photo. I also ordered the Tom Kha Ga. It settled during the delivery time and you can see that there are also very few ingredients added to this. Mostly broth! The $6.00 ginger house salad is as expected but will never pay $6.00 for it again. I will go to other Thai places as there are much more to choose from. This one was just closest at the time.
