Okay so... the sushi is good! I will give them that. But it's expensive AF. You literally have to pay for every little thing- including white sauce because "sushi doesn't come with white sauce" $0.50 per little ramekin cup (half size, not the regular one) They up charge $4 PER SUSHI ROLL just to have it deep fried. The cashier is super nice, the rest of the service sucks tho. It's not really a dine in establishment, even though they have tables set up for you to eat at. So don't expect to get table side service, especially if they're busy. The cashier also services the dining area but not when there are other customers ordering food. I've been back for sushi take out only & the only thing I can say is that I'm learning how to make the sushi myself at home bc they're unreasonably priced if you get more than 1 roll or aren't getting the lunch special. read more

We got our food delivered and it was the worst sushi I've ever had in my entire life. I am Asian and eat a lot of sushi and I will honestly never go back. I got the spicy salmon roll that had zero flavor. I only tasted the rice. Not even the sauce drizzled on top had any flavor. One of the pieces actually had no salmon inside, the crunch only! (See photo) The sweet potato roll also was flavorless and the sweet potatoes didn't seem cooked all the way. These are usually a super tasty roll at other places. Both rolls lacked in flavor so much so that I took a Covid test from the back of my drawer and tested myself. I thought I lost all sense of taste. But no, it wasn't a fault of mine. These only upside to this was the appetizers were great, and crispy. But, all they had to do was deep fry them. I guess I'm glad SOMETHING was good out of this. I threw the sushi out after eating maybe 4 pieces. What a waste of money. Also to note, I asked for extra wasabi and got a tiny smaller-then-a-dime dot of wasabi. For 3 rolls you'd think I'd at least get 3 portions of it, but got I less than one. Go somewhere else, like Irashai, Naoki, Haru, anywhere but here. Even Publix sushi is better than this. read more

Come take a trip on down to Palm Bay, FL. One of the greatest cities on planet Earth. Pull on up to a standard decently located plaza. Not hard to find. Right off Malabar Rd. Walk in and first impression, family owned. 3 younger humans on their phones, but they snapped right into action once I walked up. Some hard workers. One older gentleman peeking out the back. Now I've been to a few of these hibachi express type joints in my travels, one in particular is Kobe Express in Cherokee, NC which I've been to many times that's comparable. The only difference is they have servers and this place doesn't. They have a walk up and order when you know what you want system going. Cleary an in & out set up. Mostly To go orders I'm sure. All paper plates, plastic utensils, and styrofoam cups as shown in pictures. Some bottled beverage options as well. Fountain drinks like the fountain where when you want just water it's connected to a Hi-C punch and your water comes out pink no matter how many fills. Place an order for steak and chicken hibachi no mushrooms with fried rice, a modified shrimp tempura roll, and fried ice cream just to see what they're doing here. (Side note they don't have soy paper and only offered regular seaweed paper). Now this whole place screams like the Walmart equate version of Hibachi and the food matches. It's not the best food you've ever eaten nor the worst. The steak and chicken meal was quickly put together. I'm guessing that's where the express comes into play. Once again each bite didn't do much. Medium quality meats. The fried rice wasn't really fried and not much to it. More like fried rice's distant cousin bland rice, but it got the job done essentially. It's a quick pull up spot with fast put together meals for on the go I guess you could say. Now I didn't really eat the shrimp tempura roll because I'm not a fan of seaweed paper, but pretty standard set up, also quickly put together. Now let's get to this giant chunk of fried Ice cream. This thing was like a mini asteroid. The shell was like almost rock hard. By the time I got inside of what started to feel like I was digging thru some like ice cream soaked breaded armadillo shell, ice cream was pretty much melted, but that was probably my fault. Got to the point where it all became a squishy mess. Almost felt like If I dug any further I'd end up in the upside down regions of Stranger Things. So I just ended the journey there. Although the restaurant presents like an eat in restaurant it really isn't. This was our first time here. This restaurant is truly a take out establishment despite their dining room setup. There is no table service so one must make their order and pay at the register. Once our orders were placed we sat and waited for our food. The full order did not come out together. My husband was done with his sushi by the time my order arrived. It was a good 15+ minutes before they brought my 1st roll only to find it did not have ginger or wasabi. I continued to wait and after 5 minutes I got up to ask for the missing condiments. Eventually the remainder of my order arrived. Everything is served in styrofoam. Although the sushi tasted ok we won't return. Too disorganized and not what I'd expect from a place that displays as an eat in restaurant not to mention very pricey for take out sushi. We have ordered from this restaurant many times. The Hibachi is good for take out. The food tonight was disappointing though. Whomever the chef was added entirely TOO MUCH black pepper. The entire meal tasted like black pepper. The fried cheesecake was soggy and should be served plain without chocolate syrup or whipped cream because by the time it was delivered it was a soggy mess. So nasty. This food and delivery fees are so expensive that the food should be great every time. The restaurant also sadly switched their take out containers. Instead of the previous container's that could be washed and reused these new ones are all styrofoam and cannot be safely microwaved or reused. The food goes in HOT so it comes out tasting like the containers. YUK. Overall this place seems to now be cutting corners and the food was not up to standard. I will not order delivery again. Not happy. I gave them more than one star ONLY because I believe they need to be aware of these issues and given a chance to correct them before knocking them down to one star. Younger sister recommended this place to me after I expressed a sushi craving, and I'm so glad that she did! For ~$12 I can get any three sushi rolls of my choice plus a side of soup/salad/spring roll/krab puff. I ordered a miso soup with my combo and expected a small serving since it's just a side. Instead they gave me a to-go container that's half the size of a large, which looked way more filling than the side soups I'd get at other Asian restaurants. Sushi and miso soup were good, and the three-roll combo was filling for one person. Good pricing compared to other restaurants that have charged me $15-$20 for three rolls with NO side. On a different visit I tried the steak fried rice and had a great experience! The serving size was enough for me to split with my sister, or if I was eating by myself, I could have saved half for later. Every bite of the fried rice was delicious. My one criticism of Hibachi Express is that when I first ordered my sushi combo to go, they packaged my miso soup in a container that was cracked at the bottom. I have always heard about this place for their quick hibachi rather than eating at a local steakhouse. After reviewing their menu, I decided to try their sushi instead since their chicken roll and fried dumplings was more of my thing. I called and placed my order and in about 20 minutes it was ready for me. The chicken roll is chicken fried in tempura, avocado, spicy mayo, and masego; the dumpling was your average pork-filled app, but the dipping sauce is what makes this ADDICTING! The food overall was so tasty and worth the cost. Their sushi is always so fresh and you can see it being made in front of you. Hibachi Express is definitely a place you want to stop in. Teriyaki sauce is not teriyaki...it's gooey and like a brown beef sauce. Chicken tastes like it's boiled in water. Fried rice is just white rice with onions. Definitely needs improvement. Not worth the price. read more

I ordered the spicy shrimp roll and was not impressed. The crunch was a good texture but super salty. The spicy drizzle they added on top was great, salmon was room temperature warm and loosely rolled. When I picked up the meal, the restaurant was very clean and thankfully all of the patrons were adhering to social distancing in queue. The son of the family who was running the register was so helpful in making sure everything was in the bag before I left. The spicy krab roll was delicious! I usually don't eat sushi very fast, but I gobbled this up. The shrimp hibachi was also very good. The hibachi dinner came with onion soup and the broth was one of the best I've had. Food is not so great, but they get a bonus point for the generous portions. Ordering veggie/chicken/etc udon, you just get plain udon in broth and a separate large plate of the veg or meat. Some of the fried appetizers are good. I ordered the sushi and overall wasn't a fan. I couldn't pinpoint where the odd tastes were coming from, but I most definitely was not a fan of their sauces. Service is okay. It's mostly a takeout place, so if you choose to sit down you'll likely have the place to yourself except for the pick-up orders. Excellent Sushi!!! Take out sushi is always hit or miss. I took a chance and tried there sushi, i binged sence I haven't had Sushi in months. I had 4 of there rolls one of them being a chef's special. It was all well made, looked and tasted fresh. My mom not liking sushi had their Bento box and was very happy with her selection. The prices are reasonable for the food you get. The only thing is the dining area, definitely not a sit down for a romantic dinner place, there are a few tables and there really isn't much in the way of ambiance. read more

This place is seriously the best! They have phenomenal sushi, and I also really like the way they cook their meat. They have a big variety of sushi which is really cool. I've tried lots of different types of sushi from them and I've loved every single kind. I recommend their miso soup as well.
