Hibachi Express ~ 2.5 "The Valve" 195 Malabar Rd #4, Palm Bay, FL. 32907 All aboard all aboard!!! Last call for anyone boarding the Hibachi Express.. Where we are almost going somewhere fast. Come take a trip on down to Palm Bay, FL. One of the greatest cities on planet Earth. Pull on up to a standard decently located plaza. Not hard to find. Right off Malabar Rd. Walk in and first impression, family owned. 3 younger humans on their phones, but they snapped right into action once I walked up. Some hard workers. One older gentleman peeking out the back. Now I've been to a few of these hibachi express type joints in my travels, one in particular is Kobe Express in Cherokee, NC which I've been to many times that's comparable. The only difference is they have servers and this place doesn't. They have a walk up and order when you know what you want system going. Cleary an in & out set up. Mostly To go orders I'm sure. All paper plates, plastic utensils, and styrofoam cups as shown in pictures. Some bottled beverage options as well. Fountain drinks like the fountain where when you want just water it's connected to a Hi-C punch and your water comes out pink no matter how many fills. Place an order for steak and chicken hibachi no mushrooms with fried rice, a modified shrimp tempura roll, and fried ice cream just to see what they're doing here. (Side note they don't have soy paper and only offered regular seaweed paper). Now this whole place screams like the Walmart equate version of Hibachi and the food matches. It's not the best food you've ever eaten nor the worst. The steak and chicken meal was quickly put together. I'm guessing that's where the express comes into play. Once again each bite didn't do much. Medium quality meats. The fried rice wasn't really fried and not much to it. More like fried rice's distant cousin bland rice, but it got the job done essentially. It's a quick pull up spot with fast put together meals for on the go I guess you could say. Now I didn't really eat the shrimp tempura roll because I'm not a fan of seaweed paper, but pretty standard set up, also quickly put together. Now let's get to this giant chunk of fried Ice cream. This thing was like a mini asteroid. The shell was like almost rock hard. By the time I got inside of what started to feel like I was digging thru some like ice cream soaked breaded armadillo shell, ice cream was pretty much melted, but that was probably my fault. Got to the point where it all became a squishy mess. Almost felt like If I dug any further I'd end up in the upside down regions of Stranger Things. So I just ended the journey there. Anyways fairly clean joint. Quick service. You may or may not like depending on your standards. Not much more I can say.

Teriyaki sauce is not teriyaki...it's gooey and like a brown beef sauce. Chicken tastes like it's boiled in water. Fried rice is just white rice with onions. Definitely needs improvement. Not worth the price.

    Three-roll combo with miso soup

Younger sister recommended this place to me after I expressed a sushi craving, and I'm so glad that she did! For ~$12 I can get any three sushi rolls of my choice plus a side of soup/salad/spring roll/krab puff. I ordered a miso soup with my combo and expected a small serving since it's just a side. Instead they gave me a to-go container that's half the size of a large, which looked way more filling than the side soups I'd get at other Asian restaurants. Sushi and miso soup were good, and the three-roll combo was filling for one person. Good pricing compared to other restaurants that have charged me $15-$20 for three rolls with NO side. On a different visit I tried the steak fried rice and had a great experience! The serving size was enough for me to split with my sister, or if I was eating by myself, I could have saved half for later. Every bite of the fried rice was delicious. My one criticism of Hibachi Express is that when I first ordered my sushi combo to go, they packaged my miso soup in a container that was cracked at the bottom. Soup leaked everywhere when I got home.

I have always heard about this place for their quick hibachi rather than eating at a local steakhouse. After reviewing their menu, I decided to try their sushi instead since their chicken roll and fried dumplings was more of my thing. I called and placed my order and in about 20 minutes it was ready for me. The chicken roll is chicken fried in tempura, avocado, spicy mayo, and masego; the dumpling was your average pork-filled app, but the dipping sauce is what makes this ADDICTING! The food overall was so tasty and worth the cost. Their sushi is always so fresh and you can see it being made in front of you. Hibachi Express is definitely a place you want to stop in. I think I'm going to try their ramen or udon next!

A tiny, hidden gem if you're interested in getting a quick "sushi" fix. Always very pleased with the sushi. I am personally not a fan of the entrees, but that's not to say you shouldn't give it a try.

This was my first time here as I'm in town visiting. I loved how easy it was to quickly order online and run in and grab your order. Also loved that the online ordering took Apple Pay. It was very good! I would come back!

Great quality and great portions for an amazing price! The food was quite tasty so will definitely return and try the sushi one day.

Generous serving of chicken and steak hibachi, 3 combo sushi rolls, and chicken hibachi. Comes with 2 cups of Yum Yum sauce

So good and if you're ailing, the ramen soup will nurse you back to health. The service is excellent. Everyone works hard as you will see them scurrying around to ensure everyone is served. The best part is the floor manager. Her name is Mama. She watches over the customers and staff with a watchful eye. She is so awesome. Older woman with the spunk of a teenager. The owner and family always have a smile for all customers too. Good people. MAKE RESERVATIONS!!! Do not just show up or you will likely have to wait. Food: We ordered Boba tea and it was yum!! They had the cutest cups they serve them in too!! The cups are leakproof until you break the seal to drink your boba... so great for takeout as no chance to spill when you're traveling. I got mango tea with raspberry popping boba and we also got strawberry tea with passion fruit popping boba. Both weee delicious!! We ordered some gyoza, and a bento box with steak. I really like it was on a bed of cabbage. The steak was good, but very small serving of meat. I really enjoyed the cabbage under the steak. Also, we liked the gyoza and California roll were good. And I have to give accolades for the eggroll... for the texture people, the inside is a little mushy, but the flavor was sooo good. I really enjoyed it as it's so hard to find decent eggroll/spring roll around town. Overall: we loved this little spot. We will be back!!! I live I have Boba so close to my house!!!! You know that letdown when you return to a place you loved and it's not the same? That's never happened to me at Naoki. Naoki is an absolute gem in Brevard County. I've been coming here with my fiancée, family, and friends for YEARS, and I honestly can't believe I haven't written a review until now. When you step into Naoki, it feels like walking into a cozy, tucked-away restaurant in Japan. The space is filled with personality--surf photography, muscle cars, Japanese comic books, spirits, and even photos of the streets Naoki grew up on. It's charming, nostalgic, and unlike anything else around. Nine times out of ten, you'll find Naoki right behind the sushi bar with the rest of the team, crafting delicious roll after roll. Now for the important part--the food. It's incredible. Their menu has everything from ramen to curry to takoyaki, but my ultimate weakness here is the sushi. One roll I always recommend is the Yokosuka with shrimp--perfect if you're into American-style rolls. It's massive, loaded with shrimp tempura, and topped with seasoned minced tuna that's unbelievably soft and flavorful. The combination of melt-in-your-mouth tuna with the crunch of the tempura is chef's kiss. But the real star for me is their Nigiri. I recently visited Japan, and I can confidently say Naoki's Nigiri tastes just like some of the sushi I had over there. Nigiri is simple--just fish and rice--which means the quality has to shine... and here, it absolutely does. The fish is always clean, fresh, and beautifully prepared. My go-to Nigiri lineup (in order): Aburi Salmon, Raw Salmon, Hamachi, Tuna, and Eel. I could eat Nigiri from Naoki all day long. Their fried gyoza is also fantastic--we almost always get an order for the table. Perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and juicy on the inside, and served with a bit of cabbage, which I love. And of course, don't forget to grab a cold Sapporo--one of my favorite Japanese beers and a perfect match for everything. The staff here is wonderful. They always make you feel welcomed and at home. A few weeks ago, I actually brought my camera to capture photos of the food and the ambiance for this review, but life got busy and I didn't get around to editing them until now. I've visited multiple times since taking those photos, which just shows how much I genuinely love this place. This review isn't sponsored--I just appreciate Naoki that much. Thank you, Naoki and staff, for feeding me and my loved ones for so many years. You all are amazing. I've included photos of some of my favorites. Round 3: "We don't quit in this family." Round 4: I started negotiating with my waistband. The sushi? Fresh, fast, and dangerously delicious. Like... suspiciously good for something labeled "all you can eat." The spicy tuna had me questioning my loyalty to every other sushi place I've ever been to. And the fried rolls? Crispy little traps of joy. AND the vibe? Super cute, really clean, and tons of seating--so even while I was making questionable life choices, at least I was doing it in a place that felt put together and comfortable. Service was on POINT. Our server kept the plates coming like they were personally invested in my downfall. At one point I'm pretty sure they made eye contact with me like, "You sure about this?" No. No I was not. By the end, I was: 70% sushi 20% soy sauce 10% poor decision-making Would I go back? Absolutely. Will I learn my lesson? Absolutely not. Pro tip: Do not say "just one more roll." I would go to Thai dishes at any Thai restaurant or Massa man in Penang. I didn't try the chicken teriyaki but my girls (5 and 6) shared one kids meal and they ate all of it. So I feel that's a great indication it was good. The Krab Rangoons were oddly very fishy and very stringy. I'm used to them being not fishy, and having more of a mushy texture. The peculiar fishy taste threw me off.
