Walked in starving and aimless after my top Thai pick in the neighborhood was too full to seat me and I too hungry to wait. Just off the beaten path, through their handsome doors, and into an almost empty oasis I entered. There was one other table occupied by a small group in this fair sized venue. I was greeted and seated promptly, made my choice from their lunch menu, and proceeded to look them up on yelp to see what I was in for. It looked dour reading the reviews, and I glanced back at the menu to see that I hadn't accidentally walked into Thai Terrible. Oh well, too late to do anything about it now... Though I only tried their vegetarian phad thai, I have to say it was nowhere near terrible. Nor was it terrific. Very middle ground. The portion was ample, the vegetables plentiful, and I left with my hunger assuaged. The dish was lacking something, so I requested some chili sauce to spice it up. A small bowl was brought out, and I was assured its contents were very hot, but I detected none of that. Still it added some flavor at least. $10 seemed rather reasonable for my meal, though I'd be more apt to try another restaurant in the area before finding my way back here again. read more
