Delicious. Great vibe. Will be back for cocktails and dessert next time. Nice to have a DJ on Sunday also

Ms. G's is a trendy place with delicious food and unique cocktails. We were a group of 6 and made a reservation online, we decided to do the banquet with the cocktail drink package. One of our group was a vegetarian and they went out of their way to make sure they were catered for, I really think we got extra food plus the veggie options delicious. My wife and I got there a bit earlier to have a pre-meal cocktail, we made the mistake of ordering some of the same cocktails that was in the drink package (it's a set 3). If you are considering the drink package and getting a pre-meal cocktail make sure to ask for a non-package drink for more variety!

Came here with my husband on a Saturday for lunch and it was fairly empty. There were probably about 10 occupied tables. Very neat space. The tables are close but not too close to one another. There was only one waitress but I think she did an excellent job. Very good service and constantly checked on us to ensure we had water. Food was good. I was a little disappointed with the cheeseburger springrolls. Not sure what I was expecting but it just tasted like mcdonald cheeseburger in a springroll. Interesting concept but not worth $6 each. Gyoza was good. Decent level of of heat but heaps of flavours and the sauce went really well with the dumplings. For main, we had the bangkok fried chicken and roasted barramundi. The fish was cooked well but nothing special, whilst the fried chicken was really good. The tumeric based batter was YUM ! I would definitely order it again. Overall an enjoyable dining experience. Good atmosphere and good food. Will be back again.

We have tried to get in over the last couple of years however its popularity has slowed us down .... this time it was Monday night so we were backing our luck this time and whacko ... all went to plan and we were in. What a foodie night....as we ambled through the historical parts of Potts Point nothing had prepared us for what we were about to enjoy. Sitting at the the long community table we looked out of the old terrace towards the city and we contemplated the exciting menu options .... as we soaked up the atmosphere and we studied the menu...continual indecision as so much looked so good. What do we have? in the end we avoided the hard call and we went for the banquet ..... 10 courses for $65 per person. The ten courses were: *Mini banh mi - pork belly & chicken katsu, *Salad of snow crab with a drizzle jalapeno dressing, *Cheese burger spring roll, *Salmon ceviche thai style, *Oysters, *Charcoal brocollini, *Lamb ribs, *Crispy pork knuckle with apple kimchi & lettuce, *Passion fruit custard with tropical fruits, meringue & coconut sorbet *Doughnut ice cream with all its wonderful trimmings...a stunning finisher, and don't wait to be asked, just have it! The food, every dish was wonderful.....truly so. We were unable to conqueror the flood of food so we opted to take some out with us. The servings are generous and the pork knuckle is substantial. We all agreed though the pork was one of the best we have ever had ... it was perfectly presented too...... The maitre d' was so good.....knew the food, cared for us with excellence and had good banter with us too. Love this style of service and those also serving us were good too. Just be aware this was a terrace house so therefore it has multiple levels and the bathrooms are on the lowest level. So if stairs are a hinderance to you you may want to take a second think about if this is for you. For us it was a superb experience and I cannot wait to return.

Wow. I've been meaning to hit up Ms.G's ever since it opened in late 2010, but for some reason or another I haven't had a chance to, even though I've walked by several times. I've heard very mixed reviews about the place so I came in with no expectations. Did I say wow? Yep...wow. Upon entering you notice the place is a bit loud, but you get an amazing view of the city skyline if you sit by the window. The decor is funky and fresh (or gross, if you're a bit uptight...but to each their own.) The DJ also plays great music; I found myself whipping out my phone to use Shazam a few times... I came with 19 other people (don't be gross) for a birthday party and we booked about 3 weeks in advance. Because the size of our group was so large, we were given the banquet menu. Let me tell you, the banquet menu is the way to go. It's basically a degustation of what Ms.G's has to offer, and it is SPOT ON. Come here for drinks (really cool since the casings resemble boba/bubble tea,) or come here for the banquet menu...if you only came to try one or two dishes you are really doing yourself a disservice. The banquet menu consists of: -Mini bânh mi - crisp pork belly or chicken katsu -Ms.G's grilled corn on the cob, parmesan, lime -Plate O' Ms.G's pickles -Sea scallop, kohirabi, guacamole, lime -"Buddha's Delight"- a textural vegetarian salad -Prawn toast, yuzu aioli, herbs -Fried baby chicken, kimchi mayonnaise -Egg noodles with XO sauce, braised duck, soft poached egg -Braised Wagyu beef shin, Taiwanese style, green tomatoes, thai basil -Roasted sambal barramundi, lime -"Stoner's Delight 2.0"- doughnut ice cream, peanut butter, raspberry jam, candied bacon, potato chips, mars bar slice, banana fritter -"Dirty Passion" - passion fruit custard with chocolate & coconut All for $60! You should opt for the banquet menu if you have at least 5 people. We started with "Buddha's Delight," and I would say it was the weakest out of all the dishes (but then again, I'm a huge carnivore.) We swiftly moved onto the mini bânh mi and grilled corn and my initial rating of 3 shot up to a 4. It stayed there for a while until we had the prawn toast, then it went up to 4.25. After trying the fried baby chicken and kimchi mayonnaise (this mayonnaise was AWESOME) and the egg noodles (you mix the poached egg with the noodles) it went up to 4.5. The moment of truth for me was the last main dish, the Braised Wagyu beef shin. I'm Taiwanese, so I know what's up when it comes to Taiwanese cooking (my mom's cooking rocks...) So when I had a taste of this dish, my rating went to a full blown 5. The dessert afterward was just the icing on the cake, so to speak. All in all, you HAVE to go here...but only if you do it banquet style.

Wow the food here is so good! Cute restaurant with a vibe. Loungy restaurant with good music. We ordered cheeseburger spring roll and king fish sashimi for appys AMAZING!! We also ordered the prawns, roasted duck, Tom yum fried rice, katsu banh mi, Chinese greens and stoners delight for our dessert. The drinks here are good as well! must try

Have only been here for dessert and boy was it good! Between 3 ladies we shared The stoners delight as well as The Boss. Currently, the delight is: "Stoner's Delight part 3" doughnut ice cream, peanut dulce de leche, peanut & pretzel brittle, crispy bacon, mars bar brownie, passionfruit curd, potato chips and deep fried nutella $16 * "The BOSS" Thai milk tea icecream, salted caramel, honeycomb, puffed rice, kaya French toast, blueberry jam $14 Place was packed around 8pm but we got a table at the ground level just before the stairs. Staff are friendly and prompt, they even go through the ingredients with you when the dishes come out which is pretty neat seeing as there is so much on the place. I enjoyed the boss more as well as the nutella balls, i wasnt really a fan of the doughnut ice cream! Overall, good first visit and i can now tick this dessert menu of my list :D

    Why the long face cocktail!

The prawn toast is still fabulous! So are the ribs. Just perfectly cooked, falling off the bone deliciousness. Service is good - all the staff are ridiculously good looking, trendy and... nice. Always packed to the gills. Try to make a reservation. I don't think they take reservations??? Good spot, especially if you love South East Asian cuisine with a chi-chi twist.

I hate when you keep hearing awesome things about a restaurant, so you finally go and it doesn't live up to that expectation. Lucky for Ms. G's it was quite the opposite outcome. Woohoo indeed! We had the egg noodles with duck, wok fried veggies and sweet & sour lamb ribs (the best of those three were the lamb ribs). Paired with a lovely glass of wine, great company and set in this quirky Potts Point venue, you're in for a treat people. My only regret from this visit was not saving room for dessert. The "Stoner's Delight 2.0" looked incredible. I'll be back for that thankyouverymuch.

When I looked at the menu I just wasn't sure how much I would enjoy this place ... Let me start by saying you will not be disappointed by ANYTHING on the menu. I deferred to my two (slightly overbearing) sisters to take care of the ordering. You will constantly be surprised and delighted by all the tastes and textures. On top of all that the service was swift and friendly. Everything from the entrees to mains was a taste sensation. There's just no other way to describe it all. If you have a chance to go to Ms. G's - do it. You will not regret it.

I absolutely love this place. Great vibe, amazing food and great service. When I say the food is amazing I'm not exaggerating. This is one of my favourite restaurants in Sydney. If you have never been you need to go ASAP. They have a lot of vegetarian options which is perfect for me. I'm still dreaming about the taste of the Burrata and the salt and vinegar fried eggplant. Another must try are the paradise prawns, with a side of rice. They have an aromatic flavour to them that makes you want more. You also can't leave without trying the stoners delight dessert. It is dessert heaven, all your favourites together (deep fried Nutella guys !!!) and it surprisingly works in perfect harmony. Perfect place if you want to impress a date.

This was our second attempt to eat at Ms.G's and this time we came a bit more prepared to wait. We rolled up around 7PM on a Friday night. Same as last time - the place was an absolute zoo. We put our name in for a table for two and were told it would take an hour and half to two hours (I don't believe they take reservations) so we went upstairs to the equally crowded bar on the third floor. They do have some great drinks upstairs - lots of cocktails to choose from including some fun "packaged" cocktails that come in a fun laminated cup with an over-sized colorful straw. Time does fly by at the upstairs bar, but it was slightly annoying that there were several empty tables downstairs when our wait was approaching an hour and it still took them about 30 minutes more to seat us after pointing that out. Once you get past the wait and onto the food - you quickly forget any annoyance as the food is DELICIOUS. We started with the Mini Banh Mi burgers - one pork belly and one chicken katsu ($6 each). They were both yummy, though I favor the crispiness and flavor of the chicken one. We also had the Ocean Trout Ceviche ($16), the Roasted Sambal Cod ($26) and the Braised Wagyu Beef Shin ($25). We loved all the dishes we had, but the one complaint we had was that while the Braised Beef was the perfect texture, it lacked flavor after tasting so many spicy dishes. Onto dessert - by far my favorite part. We ordered two, though we certainly didn't need to! Our recent obsession with Master Chef made it necessary to order the dessert that ended up being the demise of Jay - the Pandan Chiffon Cake with Strawberries, Coconut Sorbet and some sort of tapioca at the bottom ($12). We also had to order the "Stoner's Delight" ($12) - doughnut ice cream, chocolate, rice bubble, pretzel, peanut brittle, and marshmallow amazingness. Both were pretty unrea

Lovely ambience - was here on a Friday arvo for lunch so it was lovely, quiet, and full of light. Would have liked to see the level below ground as the basement had lovely plants/ backyard. Banquet was delicious. Loved - every - single - dish. The corn was delicious and started the banquet on a great note. Prawn toast was interesting. Salads were alright - perhaps a little spicier would appease the palate more for the next dish. Would have liked the pork knuckle and bo ssam to be brought out earlier as the party was full by the time it arrived. Dessert was lovely! A course meal should have the right tempo and it is the only reason why Ms. G's is not getting a 5/5 from me today. Will come back and try again on different days/ time.

The courtyard is a nice place to eat/drink if the sun is out. Inside is cosy without being overcrowded. Staff are friendly and attentive (though not always if you are in the courtyard). Pizza's are a naughty but amazing treat. Their "Alaskan King Crab Lingeullini with Chili, Lemon et al." is a great lunch main - though wasn't 'chili enough' for people I was dining with. I went for a brunch option and had their "Croque Monsieur" which can be summed up as a posh toasted cheese & ham sandwich. I was a little disappointed with the portion size, but loved every bite of it. A perfectly cooked brioche with melted cheese, ham and a hint of french mustard was extremely moreish. I was happy to wash it down with a large coffee. I would recommend stopping by and trying Mrs Sippy if you are in the Double bay area, though consider the weather if you are going to be outside/in the courtyard.

Anyway, the place is really nice, and the pot that came out was also pretty cool. However the thing that really put me off this place was the service. In fact it doesn't matter how nice a place is, bad customer service pretty much destorys it. However, I'm still willing to give it another shot if I ever happen to be down this way again.

The second floor was heaving with a private function in one area, and lots of groups filling up the seating for the food (my friend had heard the steaks were good). We ended up going for the $15 burger and fries - which were simple, fresh, came out quickly, and tasty (compared to some other establishments who are trying too hard with their oversized American style burgers). The one down side is the place is very noisy when busy, and I am sure the gloss ceilings are not helping, making it hard to hear our friends in conversations. We also finally managed to get a spot on the rooftop after a few attempts (it is a very small space), which was fantastic and the view of the city was great and topped off the night. The staircase had a few more steps than I had thought but since the walls were covered with a rather nifty form of graffiti art sort of fun. Overall I found the seating and general atmosphere of being up on the roof top extremely pleasant and sort of a welcome relief from being on street level. The general set up with bar and food service is really good, orderly, neat, clean, trendy and fun. For food, I went for the for their Wagyu flat iron steak. Though listed on their menu as barbecue it actually came grilled, but that might be because Australians, as is the much the same situation in the United States north of the Mason Dixon line, are oblivious to the differences between "barbecuing" and "grilling." Hence when Australians say they are going to "toss whatever on the barbie," they actually mean they are going to toss it upon an open grill. Nevertheless, the steak was really good, served with a nice side salad. My dining companion, Yelper Jim D., ordered the salmon skewers which were likewise perfectly grilled, served with a side of greens and topped with a sprig of fresh dill in what was not only delicious but eye appealing. Because of the good food, reasonable prices and nifty rooftop location, I haven't any hesitation in being a fan of Sweetheart's or of recommending it.

The Wednesday special is a particularly great deal as 40 AUD gets you a pairing of 5 cheese and 5 whiskies. On our visit, we managed to get lucky with Japanese Suntory whiskey night. Getting to compare the Chita Grain, Suntory Kakubin, Hibiki Harmony, Hakushu DR, and Yamazaki DR side by side was not only a treat for the palate, but made it easier to identify distinctive differences between each. The cocktails themselves come with quirky names, and list of unique ingredients. Lapsang Souchong, red miso, and even Parmesan were used to compliment the various liquors. Most importantly, they manage to slay on the taste in addition to the creativity factor. Not sure how long they stay on the menu, but for example the Black Lantern (Laphroaig 10 yo whiskey, Chivas 12 yo whiskey, coconut and red bean milk, with salt and sesame) was a well balanced masterpiece. I was jazzed up and frothing for the twice-baked Gruyere souffle with crab and caviar but that thing was a let-down, maybe my expectations were way off base because in my head I was picturing a bowl filled with melty hot cheesy gooey goodness and what came out was a puffy cake type thing topped with pate, and hey, it's not their fault that I don't know what a souffle is. But let me tell you, friends, the steak tartare made up for this. It was astonishing, the combination they nailed with the minced steak and the egg and the right amount of seasoning and bite, it took me back to that time in Montmarte with that girl that didn't eat meat so I got to eat the entire tartare and that's exactly how it should have been because I wouldn't have shared anyway. We also got the buffalo mozarella tomato salad, also great, and a bottle of a crisp South African white that had me buzzing like wasp. Got a hot date? This is your huckleberry, everyone was dressed up, the couples seats outside on the pavement are where you want to be, although sitting at the bar is also a good option. It's a pretty classy place, wear your good pants.

Come on in and let the knowledgeable staff show you how to pair your meals with champagne from entree right through to dessert. The atmosphere here is very relaxed yet stylish and the decor transports you to an elegant time where good meals and good drinks are available. We managed to get the table in the back for a tasting menu of food and champagne. We started with an antipasto plate and a glass of mistelle. Mistelle is a liqueur that tastes like a palate cleanser and is bright and vibrant. This was brilliant with the salami and lucienne bread stick. For our first course we had spanner crab & lobster salad with seared scallops, drizzled with shellfish infused oil and a port reduction & pickled fennel side. The scallop was cooked deliciously. And the fact that it was topped with a perfectly poached quail egg made the dish. This dish was paired with a glass of Ruinart Blanc de Blanc - a delicious champagne from the oldest champagne house in France made with Chardonnay grapes. It was refreshing and was a great accompaniment to the seafood based salad, most certainly a champagne you want more than one glass of. This was followed by a course of steak tartar and fries. We were interested by this dish as it is not one that comes up on menu often, yet it is a complex and extremely flavoursome bite. We loved it. This time Mistelle paired the dish with a glass of Pol Roger. It was interesting having the staff explain how good champagne is with a light seafood dish and then having them serve up a heavier meat dish and more champagne. The style of this champagne though balanced the flavours and style of the steak tartar. Next up was one of my favourite meats - duck. It is rich and when cooked well is moist and delicious. Mistelle does a brilliant pan fried duck that is accompanied by a celeriac purée, dutch carrots, broad beans and flavoured with a raspberry jus. The colour of this duck was pink and it tasted delicious, my favourite dish of the night for sure. Paired with a Brut rose from the youngest champagne house in the world - Brincourt. At this point I stopped questioning the different champagnes and realised that paired correctly with the meals, makes them appropriate with any meal - not just as a starter or at the end of an evening. To finish with we had a beautiful Brie cheese, that was creamy and smooth and another glass of Ruinart, this time one of their non-vintage. A very strong finish to what were 4 fabulous dishes with matching champagnes. The staff here are passionate about everything they do and all that they serve up. The combination of formal dining, bar seating and an outdoor area means that this place has something for everyone. The first date or business dinner, those wanting to unwind after a tough day or simply those that like to sit back and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere that runs through Kiora Lane. Happy Hour here is another draw card - $2 oysters, $15 cocktails on Wednesday - Friday from 3-6pm. This is a beautiful place, with fine food and owners that are genuinely enthused about their product and will pair your choices so that you have an amazing experience. Put it on your list.
