Really loved the 20's speakeasy vibe here and my cocktail was amazing! Absolutely amazing! The Eastside Peach. I am not even exagerrating one bit when I tell you it was a minty peachy melody in my mouth, with notes of honey wafting around and I was in heaven drinking it. I really was. Goddamn $20 cocktails! They will be my undoing. This one was definitely worth it. I'm dying to try everything else, too. Its perfectly hidden all the way at the back of the hotel, and bit tricky to find from the street, but that's the point, isn't it?

Fantastic little cocktail bar hidden behind the kirketon hotel, with a amazing vibe. This little gem as a extensive cocktail list, with clearly experienced mixologists who have created a creative and unique menu. Wonderful service and a absolute must for cocktail lovers who like to try something different with awesome presentation and theatrics to compliment it all.

This place makes cool look weak. This place is HOT! You first step inside this really dark room and for a second you feel like your in the red district of Amsterdam. Then you notice a big wood table in the middle of the room and behind the bar is chemist glassware and strange looking barware that they use to serve fun drinks in. I ordered a Cosmo type of drink that was served inside a glass boot. This was a hoot. A few others had their drinks served in copper cups or other interesting glassware. All our drinks were super. The bartender really makes you feel like your in an unique place and time. Its a bit $$$ but its worth the experience even if you only have one drink and move along. I would highly recommend this place for something different, unique and super cool. Something you will never forget.

Beautiful cocktail lounge tucked in at the back of the The Kirketon Hotel. If you'd like to experience a classy venue in Sydney for a awesome cocktail this is the place to check out. I went there around 9pm on a Tuesday night and the place was comfortably full. My 9:30pm it started to be standing room only. The staff were incredibly nice and professional and knew their stuff. I tried the Honey Glazed Old Fashioned, which was amazing.

Well aren't your fancy with your cocktails? Standard drinks wont suit you - you're a person of class and you like to have a fling with the finest! I like your style and that's why I'm recommending Eau- de- Vie (Water of life/ also a name of a fruit brandy apparently) This gorgeous bar is tres chic - this is not a place you come to get picked up this is a place to swan around in and be seen. They're most popular for their cocktails and let me tell you if you stop by here you should try them! In fact they've won a gazillion awards for them - expect your cocktails to be on fire, served in tea pots or sided with Turkish delight - this is no ordinary bar. Relying on reputation you need someone to tell you about this secret space as its hidden in the of the Kirketon - no signage needed.... If you like class in a glass this is the place for you!

Coming from Melbourne's Eau De Vie, I had hopes of on par drinks and service. Well as friendly the staff was (above and beyond in fact), the drinks just did not cut it Out of three drinks, only 1 (the first) was barely upto quality were as the next 2 were complete disappointments. With each order, said service came back each time with a excuse of quality. Understandable if a single drink but in total of 4 drinks had to be explained was the decision made for us to leave. Granted we received 50% off the bill but by reputation alone, I was warned by word of mouth away. Sorry but maybe this place had "it", now it's the same as any place anyone can walk passed in.

The cute bar staff with their hipster big rimmed glasses, styled hair, and low-rise skinny jeans, are not only very attractive, but offer up some acute knowledge on the origins of their wine list, and bar food. To start we were sheltered from the horrible weather outside, to a small thin table, which was a tad too long for proper conversation. Although, with olives and bread, good wine and good music (although a bit too loud) there wasn't much room left for an intimate conversation. We shared 3 plates, starting with the Burrawong duck's liver pate with sweet and sour onions for $14, which was smooth and divine, although the onions were a bit on the small side. Second we had buffalo Mozzarella with shaved prosciutto for $15 which melted in the mouth, the creamy cheese was godly. Third we enjoyed the Sashimi style Whitebait served with olive oil, lemon juice, and mint, thinly layered and served, it was sweet and tangy from the acidic lemon, and smoothly soft in texture. The wine list was amazing, and next time I will get the waitress to explain to me each wine of choice, as the extensive menu put's a damper on being indecisive.

Each tasting plate that arrived was savoured from the moment it landed on the table, by friendly and courteous staff. There was pleasure from the way it was so artistically and creatively delivered , amongst shells, pebbles and rocks, and then when eaten how delicious each and every piece was. I was accompanied by two "old" girlfriends and wanted a place where we could hear ourselves think and have a long awaited catch up. This place was perfect. Elegant , stylish and away from the busy streets lined with noisy crowded "cheap and cheerful" places. of my friends and I consider ourselves qualified "foodies" knowing a little more than some, having eaten and personally created many a decent dish or two. The sounds that came from our table may have been reminiscent of the film "When Harry met Sally", fortunately for us we were sitting at an outside table and not heard by others, however we were just in heaven with each and every bite Can't wait to go back , the experience , not just the meal itself was truely amazing. PS. If you're a little hard of seeing or have just spent a small fortune on your teeth, I would consider taking a small torch, whilst the dim lighting was appropriate it could result in one accidentally thinking the decoration was the food and have you with an undigestable shell in your mouth and then another expensive trip back to the dentist for repairs.

It is both a dine in and takeaway venue and they are always super busy. This is testament to just how good the food is. At first it might look like your typical charcoal chicken shop, but it is much more than that with amazing salads, veggies, burgers and desserts and it will have you salivating for more. From the charcoal grill, their chickens do not have hormone injections and they are beautifully chargrilled, and seasoned with herbs and spices or marinated with Portuguese flavours. Of course it wouldn't be the perfect meal without fries. You can get their nicely seasoned French fries chips or their famous hand cut potato wedges or sweet potato wedges. We tried them all and can't choose our favourite They use the freshest of ingredients and seasonal produce to make their famous salads, made in house everyday. They will suit a range of crowds and we tried the poke salad, Buddha salad and roasted cauliflower. The Golden quinoa salad was also an absolute winner. There's a hot menu with a lot of choice - from baked salmon, chicken drumsticks, meatballs and curry to casseroles and Lentils. We had the amazing lamb shanks and mixed roasted vegetables and they were a great accompaniment. As we were here for a huge spread, we both got a burger, the chicken and also a cheeseburger. Free range chicken and grass fed beef, fresh butter lettuce, sliced tomato, onion, secret sauce on a milk bun - these were delicious - and huge! We tried the piri piri sauce and lemon and herb dressing which we also enjoyed. They have sweets and desserts too, and although we didn't try, because we were full; the home made apple pie looks like a winner. Chargrill Charlie's does catering as well if you're keen to order a bunch of food for your office meeting, picnics or even private functions. When you arrive it may appear slightly overwhelming with so many people trying to get the Chargrill Charlie's fix. But don't fret, the service is easy. Take a number and wait your turn, service is extremely fast. They also have an app where you can earn store credit and even purchase Chargrill Charlie's hoodies, hats and bags to feel like a part of the team.

But nevermind the celebrities (really, don't mind them) because the food is what everyone is there for (ostensibly, because, again, who knows?). It's cheap, quick grab-and-go food. You can get a quarter or half chicken and be on your way or put a bun between the chicken with lettuce and tomatoes to make a chicken burger or you can put it in a long roll or you can get the Indonesian rice with chicken schnitzel or get a half chicken or a whole chicken with wanton salad or avocado salad or pesto pasta or roasted potatoes.
