This place was recommended to me and I'm glad it was. Friendly service, good prices and delicious food are all perfect ways to describe Thai Select. It was the first time i've been here and I have to admit I was skeptical. It's rare to find a restaurant this good in a strip mall, but i'm pleased I was wrong. The waitstaff was friendly and perfectly happy to break down the menu in terms of spice level. I ended up eating something called 'Drunken Noodles' which was a little heavy on the basil but still very tasty. With two entrees and an appetizer I think that the bill came out to a little over $30. I want to go back and try this place again. Not just because it deserves a second trip but because their menu was huge, and all of it was different Thai foods. I'm excited to return, hungry for more. read more

YUM! This is fast becoming my new must-go place in Ft Worth. I love Thai Select! These are the items we have tried (and liked each one): Thai Tea Pad Thai with Chicken Fried Tofu Bun with Pork Red Curry Pineapple Fried Rice The service is great (super friendly and prompt) and the prices are great too. This place is awesome and authentic. Give it a try - you won't be disappointed. read more

We have been twice since moving here 2 months ago- it has been consistently good both times! We have had the pad thai, drunken noodles, and coconut curry soup. The menu indicates a spicyness level of 1-5, but the first time we were there we were informed you can order any number you want so we ordered somewhere between 5 and 10. The second time our choices were only spicyness 1-5. I ordered a 3, it was equally as spicy as the last time when i ordered a 7 or something...? Needless to say it's great thai food, kiwi bobo is the best! read more

I'm new to the area. We have driven past this place several times. I looked them up last night, their reviews were great, one review stated best Thai Food in town, they were telling the truth, this is the best. I ordered 3 different dishes. All medium heat, they were perfect. I can not tell you how good this food was. The staff was very nice. And I love their Togo containers. I'm so excited this place is in the area I live. read more

I order from this local restaurant so often! I am absolutely obsessed with the massaman curry. The crab rangoons are the best! Loaded with crab and cream cheese! Legit my go to take out restaurant read more

The food is wonderful. The lunch special can't be beat. You get a small salad, egg or spring roll, your meal, and tea! Well under $10. I recommend the Pad Thai or Red Curry. Both are amazing! If you love Boba, they have it. read more

Great food. Loved my chicken fried rice and shrimp spring roll appetizer. Service was good. I was impressed with this place and will revisit. read more

We have been very happy with our service and the quality of food from Thai Select. We have done 3 pick up orders and it has been consistently delicious each time. They are very organized and efficient - it's a busy place! Some favorites dishes are their appetizer sampler, black pepper beef, shrimp Thai fried rice, and the Tom kha soup! The appetizer sampler items stay hot and crispy even as a to-go order, which is impressive. read more

I got the pineapple fried rice - it's super good!!!! I got so much that i ate it later and it was still amazing!! My fiancé also loved it I definitely recommend The place is so nice and elegant inside as well read more

Best thai place in Fort Worth! I mostly get the pad kraw prow but have also tried the orange chicken, massaman curry and the garlic chicken. I love the flavors I'm their food and they BY FAR have the best brown rice I've had. The rice is always cooked to perfection. You can also select spicy level from 1 to 5. I recently moved to oak lawn and so far the thai places can't live up to thai select. I gave it four stars because the servers aren't friendly or all that good, but the food is WORTH it! You will get your food fast and take out was a good experience for me every time ad well. read more

Great tasting food! Some of the staff is friendly and attentive. Clean restaurant. A little on the too quiet side awkward feeling. read more

Thai Select - Pad thai combination - Thai Near Me - Fort Worth, Texas

You're in for a treat - the food is really good. We like to start with the Thai Select Sampler, share an entree and save room for the Sweet Mango with Sticky Rice. The only problem with this strategy is that we have to make the tough choice between noodles or curry for our main dish. The dining room can feel a bit crowded (especially when you've got an infant sleeping in a carseat in your party), but that isn't a big deal when weighted against the quality of the meal. I can't wait until baby is big enough to try his first handful of Pad Thai. read more

Food is always good. But the service is ALWYS slow. ALWYS. Whether dining in or take away, they are always extra slow compared to other places. 4 stars if service is faster. read more

First time here. Boyfriend ordered chicken fried rice and I ordered green curry. However, our waiter brought out yellow curry for me. The servers were very polite and asked if they can switch it out for me and when I said that it was fine, I'll go head and stick with the dish... he brought out spring rolls. I just felt the dish was a little expensive; a bowl of curry with some peas, carrots and a few shrimps for 13 bucks. read more

I have gotta say, that this is the best thai in my area. I have had some amazing thai food in the past, and this is by far the best that fort worth has to offer. It is a must try, and you can get a table on Friday nights with a short wait. read more

So this restaurant has been our go to place for Thai food since we moved to Southwest Fort Worth in 2010. However I must say that on this occasion I've had better versions of two of the three dishes that we bought on this visit. We have vegan since July 2019 and I strongly advise that you consider this lifestyle for your health and other ethical and environmental reasons. 1) Drunken noodles with vegetables. I think Thai Select prepares this dish as well as any we've eaten. 2)Veg Duck Kra Prow- I've had this dish prepared significantly better at another west Fort Worth Thai restaurant. 3) Massaman Curry- I love this dish either with vegetables only or with tofu. I've had a better version of this dish at a restaurant in Carrollton, Texas. I must say that the last time that I picked- up food at Thai Select that my egg-less rice dish actually had egg in it- very disappointing. Soon afterwards and for a few hours I felt the old, painful sensations of arthritis, gout, and shooting pains. I will never go back to meat and dairy again. As Dr.Neal Barnard says- "don't eat food that does not love you back". read more

Food is good, but not as good as rice and noodle (the original). The 3-star instead of a 4ish is because the waiters look like they've never waited a table in their life. Service is slow and they don't know when to come and give you the check. Last time I was there one of the waiters was sick, coughing a lot with a runny nose and it didn't make me very happy. read more

There is so much good Thai in Fort Worth that I would not waste time or money here. It's probably the most expensive Thai restaurant in Fort Worth besides their own second location Spice (on magnolia). The Thai is not very authentic and never sits well with me, telling me they put a lot of sugar and use unhealthy, fake sauces. Take your business to Thai rice n noodle in SW Fort Worth, or anywhere in Haltom City. If you're looking for something closer to downtown/W7th, Tuk tuk is fantastic! read more

Went here today and was not disappointed! Had an absolutely delicious meal! The pad Thai was pure perfection! The spring rolls were amazing! The peanut sauce that goes with the spring rolls is so delightfully good, you will want to have more than just one! I would suggest leaving room for dessert- they have a homemade coconut ice cream that is heavenly. Not to mention their sticky rice dessert with mangos! If you have never tried Thai tea, do so!!!! It is so refreshing!!! I have never left such a place so satisfied with the food selection, price, and the staff! They were all so nice and helpful! This is one place we will always come back to when we visit Ft Worth! Thai Select has a new fan! read more

See all

I'm sorry to have to write this, but this place is starting to go downhill -- we were here yesterday during lunch and service was not good. Very slow and unattentive. It took 45 minutes just to get our food, which we ordered off of the lunch menu. Another couple who sat 2 tables away received their drink order, but waited another 15 minutes for a server to take their food order. When none arrived, they got up and left. When our food finally arrived, it was uninspiring. We ordered the Pad Key Mao with chicken and orange chicken. The chicken was overcooked and dry on both dishes. The noodles in the Pad Key Mao were also overcooked. I want to say that this was just an anomoly, but we experienced pretty much the same thing when we had dinner here three days ago. It will be awhile before we come back. To the owners : This place shined when it first opened, and can shine again. Hold your servers, cooks and managers to a higher standard and you'll shine again. Good luck. read more

Excellent food at excellent prices. Highly recommend the red curry chicken. read more

My husband and I were craving Thai but we're really picky on where we go and this was the closest one to us so we decided to give it a shot. We ordered the gyoza (pot stickers) which were really good. My husband ordered the pad Thai with chicken and he got 1 star spicy level and he said it was ok. He said he would try the Thai fried rice with pineapples next time. I ordered the Thai fried rice with chicken with a level 2 spicy and it was pretty spicy for a level 2 which is why at a new place I always get 2 because everyone's levels are so different. Mine was really good! The only negative I could say was there were too many tomatoes and scallions. I love mostly rice but other than that it was delicious! If we're ever back in this area again and we want Thai I'm certain we will revisit this restaurant. read more

This is my fav Thai spot in FTW. Red Curry is amazing! Take one bite and ya just keep eating.

Ordered the curry and unfortunately, it had a soup consistency instead of a nice and creamy curry consistency. My current favorite is Thai Texas in Arlington TX. read more

My husband and I tried it for the first time recently and we will absolutely be back. The staff was incredibly friendly and answered all our questions about the menu. The food was delicious, portions were fantastic for the price, and it was promptly brought to our table. Wonderful date night venue! read more

Really good food and boba! I always order the Pad Kee Mao and spring rolls to share. The service is good. This is our Thai place in Fort Worth. read more

First the food was amazing! I had the Three Mushrooms with beef and my friend had curry. One of the best meals I have had in a while, and reasonably priced. That being said, the service was horrid! We were there at lunch, and they were steady, not overly busy. Got our drinks, and food order. Food was delivered promptly, but she never came back to check. My friend was missing part of her meal, and I had asked for spices. I had to get up to approach the counter. Then it took her 6-7 more minutes to get that corrected. Drinks empty, took another 3-4 for that. Wanted dessert, but she never came back, except to drop the check. I have not been to a place that small with absolutely no service. It seemed like it was just our waitress as well, we tried several times to get her attention. The table next to us saw us trying to get her attention and tried to help. We were there right at an hour for lunch. My friend was late for work due to lack of service. I don't think we will be back. read more

Super yummy food and friendly service. The place is very quaint and tidy. The food was awesome:small salad, and then the main meal. The bubble tea was a bit too sweet for me, but I drank it all nonetheless. My bf and I went on a Sunday afternoon and a steady flow of people started coming in! I believe they had frequent costumers read more

I was never really a fan of Thai food growing up, but maybe it's because I had never had Thai Select. My husband brought back some pad thai and the appetizer sampler and I just had to have a bite to try it out. After that, I was HOOKED! He's actually calling right now to place an order. I've been craving it all week! read more

Consistently excellent food and service. The Tom Kha Kai is delicious. Also recommend the lettuce wraps. read more

Delicious curry. Pick your spice level. They get it right. Ingredients are fresh. Love the Spring Rolls.

Amazing food but service was terrible. Maybe they we're just busy after Valentine's Day, the service was mediocre. Needless to say, we will be ordering out from here as it is only 1 mile from our home. Just want management to know you should hire more help for dining service then you'll really be in business. read more

I come here for boba all the time and I get the thai boba tea blended and its the best boba I've ever had. Yall I drink so much boba but I always find myself missing this boba. Once you have it, nothing else is the same. It's not too sweet and its not a watery/milky mess like some other places you go to. It doesnt taste like gross packaged flavoring either, I mean I'm sure it is but whatever they do to it they do it good. Besides the boba, their fried rice is really good and you get a huge amount for what youre paying for too. The yellow and red curry are also amazing. Only downside is that the wait can be long sometimes even just for boba. read more

This is our go-to takeout place. It is ALWAYS delicious and ALWAYS exactly what your brain expected and your heart wanted. This is by far the best Thai food in Fort Worth, and if you're not going here you're missing out. I absolutely cannot fathom any reason not to rate Thai Select 5 stars. read more

I eat here on a regular basis - quite possibly weekly at this point. Everything we have ordered here we have loved. Except one time - the duck was over-cooked but all of the times before and after it was perfect, so I know it was a fluke day. They have a decent wine selection. You can choose how much spice you want, which I love. Their staff is so kind. And again, their food is TASTE-TY! read more

Went for the first time yesterday. Got the Cashew Chicken entree. It was extremely salty. I usually put rice in any leftover sauce to enjoy as much as I can, but this sauce was inedible. Also, there was no spice, at all. Probably will not go back. Gave two stars because of generous portion of chicken. read more

Best thai tea around! I've loved everything, and their tofu is really good. However, they tend to make their food spicier than expected, so I would be conservative with what level you request. read more

This food was so delicious! I ordered pad ped with a level 3 spicy, I have a pretty high spice tolerance but it was kinda spicy lol I LOVED IT. Cause don't u hate when they say they got spicy food but all u tasted is cracked pepper lolol?!?!? I loved the food. I wanna try the boba teas next time cause everyone around me was ordering them. The only issue I had was that the waiter checked on us once and was taking it up with the other coworkers, the thing was is that the ppl he was talking to were still doing thr job and checking on thr tables he wasn't. Had to wave him over for the check. BUT I AINT NO SNITCH SO HE CAN SLIDE THIS TIME! read more

I love this place. This is easily the best Thai in Fort Worth. I see a few reviews that complain about slow service. I don't find it any slower than anywhere else, but if it is, that's the price you pay for quality, fresh food. read more

Best curry! And best Tom kha! $6 for a bowl of it (which is a whole meal for me).Perfect.
