Pretty standard americanized thai food. I got the pad prig khing and pad kee mao (drunken noodle). The pad prig khing was a relatively flavorless version of the dish, it had hints of what it's supposed to taste like, but not much - I got it Thai Spicy and they did thankfully actually make it spicy, or it would have been lacking about any flavor. The pad kee mao was using the wrong type of noodle (I'll never understand why places do this, that noodle texture is important!), the flavors were OK but again missing the main components that you're used to for the dish. That said the dishes came appropriately spicy when I asked for it, and not overly-sweetened like a lot of americanized thai is, so giving it 3 stars. read more

We stopped in here late for a quick bite after a long day while on vacation since it was rated so highly on yelp. We started with the crab Rangoon and steamed dumplings. The dumplings were ok but the crab Rangoon kinda had a buffalo taste to them, not your traditional crab Rangoon not terrible tasing but just ok I'd say. Service was fast but not very friendly, we were reminded that they closed at 9 and our waitress was very short with us and did not seem to want to be there but we were done, paid, and out by 8:50 despite their worry. For our entree we both got the chicken pad Thai. Both tasted kinda sweet and had a unique pungent smell to it. Not very good I'd say. I would say don't get dooped by the high rating but feel free to gather your own opinions if you dare to try here. We will likely not be back. read more

For a small town, Bradenton has a large amount of Thai restaurants to choose from- ranging from super scary to divine. From the outside Thai Palace is not much to look at, blending in with the beige strip mall full of neon signs. However, upon entering you feel transported to another land. The beautiful mahogany wood, deep red, and gold interior is breathtaking. The seating set-up is private and relaxing, the waitresses are patient, kind, and beautiful. I was mesmerized by the place- I could live there. Their full menu with pricing is all online, and there are a few photos. So, I had everything all planned out even before arriving. We eat an early dinner, because we are working folks that often wake-up at 5:30 everyday and are in bed early to make up for it. This causes us to become dinner "Earlybirds," which lumps us in with many retired folks in the area, that I swear go out to eat just to complain. There was a loud table of that going on behind us, but I did not let that get me down. We had the Crab Rangoon ($6.95) appetizer, but this is not your average Chinese take-out Rangoon. It was six golden crispy wontons filled with spicy curry cream cheese. Nothing like I have ever had before and they were oh-so-divine. Some people may find them very spicy, but you can dip them in the sweet sauce tone it down some. I have never seen a Thai restaurant with a large Pho style bowl of soup on their menu, so we definitely had to order that. The Beef Noodle Soup with Beef Ball ($9.95) was a large ceramic bowl filled with your choice of flat rice noodle or thin egg noodle. The broth is rich and toasty with a hint of curry flavor, and there were lots of yummy vegetables. But, we did pick out most of the celery. It was nice to eat that style of soup, but I will stick with the Thai dishes next time. The Amazing Noodles ($14.95) were on the season specialties menu. It was flat rice noodles and some vegetables covered in Penang curry sauce. I ordered an extra side of steamed jasmine rice, which came out on a little plate in the shape of heart, to mix with the extra sauce from the noodles. I cannot pass up a Thai donut, ever. The Thai Donuts were so good, and I tasted a hint of amaretto in the glaze sauce. This is a must try if you have never had them. Also, the Thai Palace Banana with Coconut Ice Cream was delicious as well. They are thin egg rolls stuffed with sticky rice, banana, and I tasted a jasmine aftertaste. Dip the hot roll in the cold coconut ice cream for the true experience. They did not have Sticky Coconut Rice with Mango when we were there, or I would have ordered that instead of the banana dish. Thai Palace is a great dining destination for those visiting the area or locals that are able to spend a little more money. They are located across from the best movie theater in Bradenton, so stop by there before or after a show. The lady who answered and another team member went out of their way to attempt to resolve issues with my online delivery order and also look up our address themselves to see if they could take a manual order, even after saying they were busy when they answered! This is a good Thai restaurant in Bradenton. It is on Yelp top 100 list. We were here for quick dinner before the concert. And we have only 50 minutes from order to leaving. The waitress were inform about the concert and short dinner schedule. Our food came out and paid our bill in 45 minutes. We're as promised get out on time. We have ordered the duck strip as an appetizer. This is like chicken strip except is duck meat. It is well batter with season flour. The coating is crispy and go well with the Thai sweet chili sauce. The entrees are the garlic and black pepper seafood. It has squid, shrimp, and scallops. The black pepper and garlic is a bit light. I like like it stronger for the taste. However, it is pleasant for my wife. We also order Pad Kee Mow - the rice noodle with chicken. I thing this is the best dish of the night. Service is good and attentive. I went here on a Sunday afternoon. The place was empty. I immediately enjoyed the atmosphere with the rich colors and lighting. They even had the cutest set of Elephant salt and pepper shakers.. which I did not take! I was tempted but a good Yelper, never steals! We ordered the Yum Beef salad, curry puffs and medium spice, drunken noodles with pork. All of it was really good! They do make their medium on the hot side so be prepared to drink lots of water! To finish off this amazing meal, I was introduced to Thai Coffee. OMG! What have I been missing out on??? Wow, the condensed milk and dark coffee.. This was definitely not on my 21 day Fix food list.. but I enjoyed it anyway. I am addicted and craving Thai Coffee! From Panang curries to Pad Thai to Chicken Satay, each bite from flavor to texture is perfect to me. I think I can order anything from the menu and love it. My favorite items to order are any of the Panang curries (my favorite is the duck Panang), Pad Thai, Thai tea, and fried rice. The fried rice here is the BEST. This place is heavily decorated with booths and gold figurines. I really enjoy how the waiters and waitresses dress up in traditional Thai clothing. I came and tried the special of the day which was a soft shelled crab with red curry. I thought it was delicious. I also tried the tom yum soup which was very tangy and spicy (which is good!) and their satay chicken appetizer with peanut sauce and the pad thai. I felt like the pad thai noodles were too moist and soft and the flavor was very different from most pad thais I've had. Maybe more ketchup tasting. I was disappointed that they didn't have the sticky rice and mango dish for dessert but I saw that it was a special that they only sometimes have. Instead I had the fried banana with coconut ice cream. The coconut ice cream had an artificial flavor to it but I enjoyed the banana which was wrapped with egg roll wrapper and topped with sesame seeds. read more

I went with my family and we like to eat family style. So we shared everything we got. Fresh Rolls: It was good but the serving was small. Honestly, not really worth the price to me. BUT the sauce it comes with is fantastic. Cucumber Salad: Delicious. A good way to start off your meal. Ingredients were fresh and crunchy. Thai Palace Noodle: Also fantastic, maybe my favorite thing I ate at the restaurant. Pad Thai: I get this dish almost every time I go to a Thai restaurant. And this place definitely has the flavor on point. Basil Tofu: I think this actually might be my favorite thing I ate. The tofu was cooked well and not mushy. The sauce was delish. Combination Fried Rice: I did not eat much of this because I wanted to eat as much of the other three entrees as I could haha. But the portion I did get was good. (We mostly ordered this because of my little sister) Thai Donut: Thai donuts are my favorite donuts. They were lightly browned and crispy. I ordered food through the Grub Hub app and specifically requested no onions. I received my order and the dish was filled with onions. When I contacted Thai Palace they were rude and hung up on me. My colleagues and I get takeout from Thai Palace on a weekly basis and highly recommend. It's always quite full during lunch time, most tables are occupied but it never feels overly crowded. My colleagues always get Basil Duck hot and Thai hot and I get the baby corn entree. We also recommend their Basil Fried Rice it is 10/10. read more

This place is right across from Publix on Cortez. It was an easy find. When I first walked in, the decorations are pretty. The environment is a bit dark that I went during early afternoon and still kind of dark with limited lighting. The food did take a bit longer to come out, even though the restaurant was filled with people. I got the Thai fried rice and I love the spice added to have a slight kick. This Thai restaurant was a 10/10. It started from walking in the door. The lighting was great, the decor is beautiful and clean and the service was prompt. Then I ordered the combination platter appetizer for my husband and me. Every one of the items were outstanding. The crab rangoon was our favorite though. I thought I was picking a Thai restaurant closer to my location, but I accidentally picked this place and when I went to pick it up I had to drive 15 minutes out of the way(my own fault completely). All that to say it was a very happy accident. This was the best pad Thai I have had in Manatee County. I wish I lived closer to it. Stopped in for lunch and so happy we did, found our new favorite Thai restaurant! Ordered panang curry with chicken, it was spicy and loaded with both fresh vegetables and tender pieces of chicken. For lunch it was served with choice of soup or salad and a crisp spring roll. All delicious. Also ordered vegetable fried rice for husband who isn't a Thai food fan.
