Tucked away in a dumpy strip mall was this gem of a place! Cutely decorated & very small & clean - including the bathroom! We enjoyed lunch & shared Chicken Basil & Chicken Ginger. We asked for hot spice & while the food was very delish, we wished it was a little hotter. It gave a little tingle but that's it. The food, the service, and the ambience were wonderful!!! The food was spot on and you could tell the care put into. It was very important by the owners. Freshness 10/10. Flavor 10/10. The amount was so cozy and cheerful. Just really a nice place to dine in, however, we took it to go. Next time we plan on dining in. The owner could not have been nicer and more welcoming. I had one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. I ate here last week, and within a few hours I started vomiting repeatedly. The symptoms lasted for two full days after the meal. I did not eat anything else around that time, so I strongly suspect the food here was unsafe. I tried to call the restaurant afterward to speak with a manager, but the person who answered the phone cut me off, said "no," and immediately hung up on me without letting me explain anything. This is incredibly unprofessional, especially when a customer is reporting a potential food safety issue. This experience was unacceptable from both a food safety and customer service standpoint. I went in because of the reviews on Yelp and it lived up to them! I think it's changed ownership from when I went three years ago. Then it was just so so, but now I agree it's the best Thai restaurant in Bradenton. We bought take out, and when we went to pick it up we were served ice water, and cared for with Thai level customer service. Our food was delicious: satay and fried tofu and soup and chicken with cashew. All excellent. If you like Thai food, don't be put off by the small shop front, or that it's next to a vape shop. The owner said it was a favorite and I LOVE massaman curry, but typically with avocado and cashews so this was a different variation with sweet potatoes. The curry was packed with flavor and perfect level of spice. As I waited a very short time for my to go order the owner brought me a Thai iced tea on the house.
