Stopped in for lunch with visiting family. This place is horrible!! The spring rolls were wontons, super small portions, the waitress took a water carafe that was a half full off a table topped it off with water and put it in on another table. Of course wearing a mask the entire time. My husbands sushi was warm!! He ate a few pieces that's it. The waitress didn't even ask what was wrong with it. Other family members ordered the pad se ew it was disgusting. After paying $70 for gross food we went elsewhere to get a decent meal. I would never go back. read more

Ordered to-go tonight from this incredible restaurants. We ordered chicken Pad Thai and Thai Fried Spring Rolls. Our food was ready in a reasonable amount of time. Everything was super fresh and well packaged. It stayed toasty warm til we were ready to eat. The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. I highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely eat here again. They didn't have sushi tonight but we hope to try their sushi next time. I read other reviewers that loved their sushi. I had a terrible experience at Thai Nigiri. Which pains me to say due to my past nostalgia for it. The manager was very rude! It all started when I had called to make reservations, I spoke with a kind young lady. She was in the process of her repeating my number back before the call dropped. So I called back right away and the manager answered this time and damn near hung up on me before even letting me talk. After much convincing he finally agreed to honor the reservations that were made. Once we got to the restaurant the manager ended up taking our table. His demeanor towards us from arriving came across as super unprofessional and unpleasant. To add the icing on the cake he got our order wrong and the food was mediocre at best. We can't wait to return!!! I see in other reviews where service was poor, and I can honestly say we experienced excellent service. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very sweet, and calming, with several tables and a bar for additional seating. We went for lunch and all but one table was occupied... perfect timing! The prices are standard to other Thai restaurants I have been to, and very reasonable. We ordered an appetizer or Crab Rangoon with plum sauce, that was perfectly cooked. Our drinks were continuously refilled, and they provide you with a carafe of water for self serve refills. For main dishes we ordered the Sweet Basil and the Red Curry. Both with beef, ordered "hot" for spicy, and added pineapple to the red curry. Both dishes came with rice, soup, and a sample pot sticker. The sweet basil lived up to the "hot" spicy level however the red curry was not spicy enough to be "hot". All in all, the food was amazing, the service was excellent (fast and friendly), and the restaurant was clean and welcoming. We can't wait to go back!!! read more

We visit the area once a year and this is our must have take out spot. The Thai is fantastic. Make sure to get a large side of peanut sauce for your noodles or apps. We have loved everything we have ordered here and sometimes it is even better the next day! Finally got to try the food here. The sushi was pretty darn good and the triple fried rice was pretty tasty. The service was good and the staff was nice. I had no complaints at all. Another Sandpoint restaurant to add to the list that can't handle a dinner rush. Either they don't answer their phone or when they do they tell you that they are not taking to go orders. As locals it's very frustrating. We've decided to just do more in home cooking and when we go out take a nice drive to Coeur d'Alene. Aweful. Cant believe I was charged $60 for this minuscule amount of food. Rolls are only filled with imitation crab and not what we ordered. They are tiny! Definitely a short cut. No one will answer the phone to fix the order issue either. The side of chicken (which was supposed to be a side of teriyaki chicken for my 3yo) is slivers of boiled chicken and not worth the $4 we were charged. We wont be going back. read more

Highly recommended, but our visit resulted in a disaster. We we're told it was a great restaurant but the service was so very slow. The 30 minute wait to be seated dragged on and very little food came out from the kitchen for any of the other guests during that time. (We were told that they had a large group in, but had apparently not planned well, or at all, for it. ) One hour after arrival we did finally get the appetizers. About 20 minutes later we got most of our meal but it was missing some of the sushi. The rest of the meal came out 30 minuets later. We asked to sit at the bar but were told they couldn't serve us there either. They only had underage servers. (The bar was empty.) Recommend you go anywhere but Thai Nigiri. read more

Yessss!!! If you are in this town you must try this restaurant!! The crab rangoon with plum sauce and the spirit bomb will not leave you disappointed! Well... you will actually want more because I shared this deliciousness and truth be told I could have eaten two or three of the crab rangoon appetizers all on my own. Had lunch there today for the first time and it was great! We were seated and the waitress took our order at the table. We ordered 2 Thai Teas, 2 Chicken Pad Thai's, a soup, 2 sushi rolls, and an order of wonton rolls. Everything was delicious and our bill was $59. The service was great too. This place used to be amazing until after the "pandemic". They still make you stand to order and they have very limited seating. I took my daughter and we were told we couldn't order sushi as they were out. The people that were there before had ordered the last of it which was fine until people after us came in ordered and were able to get it. Their sushi chef is gone several months out of the year and apparently they don't have another one so they limit what you can order. You can never get through when you call. I am so disappointed as it used to be our favorite place to go. I don't understand why they are still running their place like we are still in the middle of a "pandemic". We have to go to CDA now if we want good sushi. read more

It pains me to have to write this review about a place that I frequently enjoy! I went to Thai Nigiri today, and was treated very poorly by a blonde waitress. Im not sure what her name was, but she made my experience very uncomfortable and unfortunately I don't feel like ever going back. This is a sad thing, as we don't have many options for sushi in sandpoint. I ordered salmon sashimi, and I was brought tuna. I didn't think it would be a big deal to return it and ask for salmon. I rarely send stuff back, I think this is the first time in like 20 years... BUT I actually never order tuna, as I have unlimited access to sushi grade tuna due to my hubby fishing for it! After I nicely asked for the order to be fixed, I heard the blonde waitress tell the other waitress "no, that's what she ordered, she ordered tuna" then she brought the receipt over, and with aggressive body posture and a rude tone she wanted to tell me that I did not order salmon that I ordered tuna! Instead of just fixing the mistake she chose to be combative, and try to to tell me that I ordered tuna. She shoved the receipt angrily toward me, throwing her hands in the air saying "just so you know, you ordered tuna, so that's why you got tuna" Yes, her receipt did say tuna, but that is because she put the wrong order in after I asked for salmon.. I am really shocked at how I was treated today at a business that I have overtime spent a lot of money at! I have never seen her before, but I usually don't come on Friday. Also, I overheard her loudly speaking of another patron in a disrespectful manner immediately after they left the business. Maybe she thought it to be funny? Dang it, I just hate to leave bad reviews! Update: I did call to speak with the manager, and he was very apologetic. He was thankful to hear what happened and plans to have a talk with her. I will leave my review up, in case it's helpful to others. I found it necessary to call and inform them, especially if I am writing a review: I won't be going back as long as I know she will still be working there. read more
