The service was great and attentive. The menu had a variety of options. I choose the sweet and sour chicken. The presentation of the food was nice. The food was good. I got steamed chicken and should have gotten it battered. Overall I was pleased and would visit again.

love: every single dish, authentic and flavorful, excellent service, clean and casual setting not my fave: far from Durham

We went to this resturarent expecting good food and service. But we had the worst experience ever. We ordered Tom ka soup , chicken dumpling and Veg Spring roll.Food was below average.Feels like it was frozen warmed and served. We found Fly on our dumpling, so we reported to the manager. Manager was inconsiderate saying that it was not fly it was black pepper and started shouting on us.He also came to show us the container of black pepper as if we have seen black pepper.Shouting continued for 5 mins making the environment uncomfortable for everyone.I have never seen this kind of behavior done with the customer.I hope he should valued his customer. For sure we are not going to this resturarent again and will never recommend this place to people.

Great little spot in an area that's surprisingly low on great spots. I just randomly took the exit into the strip expecting to see a few cool places to eat. Not really. There's maybe two, depending on your threshold. Cozy yet somehow not particularly small. Trainee waiters handled things well. Not very sunny, as the windows were covered. It added to the ambiance... I don't normally like the restrooms that close to the kitchen. I'm funny like that. Insanely good steamed dumplings made me feel like hugging everybody. The accompanying soy sauce was okay, but I recommend Sriracha. Got the cup of coconut soup with shrimp. It had a mild flavor with a kick that snuck up on me. Halfway in, my nose wanted to run. It was pretty good with 3 tasty shrimp. There's something missing. Not sure what it is. Idk but it won't keep me from returning. I'm a fan. Nice, semi-intimate date setting. Bring your woman. Or your man. Heck, bring both. No judgments. A.

I'm a fan of Thai Lotus, located at Millpond Village in Cary. The food was pretty good Thai with generous portions, albeit a bit pricey. The ambiance is upscale strip-mall restaurant: new, bright & clean, but nothing fancy. No table cloths here :) The service was friendly enough, but on the slow side. When this happens I wonder if more servers is the solution or a bit more hustle. (Couldn't tell in this case.) I'm glad they had beer available as the chef doesn't mind delivering the heat here. I'd recommend getting medium and adding Prik Nam Pla (fish sauce with hot peppers) if you want to dial-in your own heat level. I'll be back next time I'm in Cary.

love most of the food, but the edamame was over cooked and soggy. They are not salty and no dipping sauce.

Good curry is hard to find. I don't live in Raleigh but if I did I would legit be there every day.

Very cute place. Food is tasty and not overly salty like a lot of other thai restaurants. I would eat here again.

How is the pad thai?

Very good! My favorite dish is the massaman curry from them though.

Would recommend making a reservation. Was pretty busy we got there, even on a Sunday. We started with the pork goyza and had two of the rolls. All very good.

We set up a reservation as it is can be difficult to just drop in unless you are prepared to wait. The atmosphere is great, with excellent ambiance, and all the staff that we met were very upbeat and kind. To start we had the Tom Kha soup and a sushi roll, spicy tuna. The Tom Kha was very disappointing. It just had a very very watered down taste with hardly any coconut flavor. It was missing the traditional Thai flavor and had zero sour flavor to it that is usually brought in by the lime juice at the end. Perhaps they forgot to make it properly. The spicy tuna roll was just ok. It had heavy rice with a small amount of tuna. Freshness was good. My wife ordered the Pad Thai which must be the most popular dish as everyone was ordering it. Her feedback was that it was average and a bit dry. I ordered the Pad Kra Pao which was very good. The flavor was excellent and I used the remaining sauce to put over some steamed white rice. My only feedback was the spice level. I specifically asked my server if the spice was traditional Thai level or was he grading the spice on a more moderate scale. He assured me, the levels were Thai and that the food was very spicy. I went medium spice and it was very light and tame. I would go more spicy in the future. Overall the experience was a nice outing and we enjoyed the location. The food however was very mid range. Having traveled throughout Thailand, I was really hoping to have a more authentic experience but this feels like a sort of fusion. We have now tried 4 or 5 Thai spots around the greater Triangle area and Osha has been at the bottom food wise. With such amazing other feedback, I have to wonder if we just experienced an off-night for the amazing Thai food

But I recently dined in, and unfortunately it was a bit of a letdown. We ordered the Thai Wings Zab, which felt like plain chicken coated heavily in chili powder. I don't mind spice, but this one felt like heat with no substance to back it up with. The other dish I tried was the Thai basil chicken stir fry, which is mainly the reason for this 3-star rating. The chicken was really rubbery and I was surprised that a Thai restaurant didn't quite deliver on such a classic basil dish.

The hostess/server greeted us as we came in and showed us to a table. We saw a good assortment of Thai dishes, including a whole page of vegetarian options. There were four types of tea to select from (I chose Jasmine). My wife and I selected entrees and asked about their soups. They have a coconut soup and the server suggested a big bowl to share and asked if we wanted to add chicken. We did. Let me tell you, that soup was delicious!!! It was a large bowl, large enough that if we went to Thai 54 again we'd share the soup and a single entree. My wife had a chicken and vegetables stir fry. She really enjoyed it. I had the massaman curry. Excellent. Just a hint of spice. When we fly into RDU again, we'll return to Thai 54.
