Papaya Salad (Som Tum)
Christine T.

Tried Thai Kitchen Express in Fontana after a long weekend of camping. The pork jerky with sticky rice was a 10/10 so delicious and definitely something I'd order again! The papaya salad was also super refreshing and hit the spot. I was craving something soupy, so I tried the beef noodle soup. It was okay, but it didn't quite hit the spot for me. Overall, 2 out of the 3 dishes were definitely reorders! Would come back again for the pork jerky and papaya salad

This place exceeded all my expectations!!! Simple menu but the food is good We ordered beef pad see ewe, chicken pad thai, chicken satay, and a thai tea. Food was made fresh. The proteins were tender and they don't velvet the meat like other places. The food is on the sweeter side but still very tasty. Portions were plenty for the price. They are currently running a 20% off grand opening promotion til 7/31. Even without the discount, the prices are so affordable.

10/10 will be back! Ordered their Thai tea which is some of the best I've had (I like it on the sweeter side) and I also got their pineapple fried rice which was also excellent! Portions are really big so well worth the price! Service was 10/10 from the waitresses to the speed of the food being delivered! This might be the best Thai food place in fontana!

Decided to try this new place and glad I did! Let me start by saying that the portions are very generous for the price. We had the pad Thai, green curry and crab ragoons. Everything was delicious. The pad Thai had a sweetness to it and the fresh veggies gave it a nice balance. The green curry was creamy, spicy and a witha hint of sweetness I really enjoyed it. I can't wait to try all the other dishes they have on the menu. This place will definitely stay in my rotation :) *I forgot to mention that since this place just opened it appears they are running a 20% off promo. There is a banner at the front. Now sure how long this will go for but a pretty good deal if you are looking to try a new place

Excellent new Thai restaurant. They have my favorite Kra-Pao served with a fried egg. Most restaurants either omit the egg or charge extra for it. The Thai Basil Chicken was prepared very well and was delicious. The server did not ask what spice level I preferred and I forgot to tell him so the entree was not spicy at all. A few spoons of chili oil from the table condiment rack solved the missing spice level. The minced chicken and colorful vegetables consisting of green beans, red, yellow, and green bell peppers were very flavorful. The fried egg had light crispy edges which was enjoyable. The meal came with a generous serving of steamed rice. One tip is to ask for a spoon so you can use your fork to form the most perfect bite while eating. I definitely plan to order this particular dish again. The Thai tea is made with non-dairy Mocha Mix which is a plus for me being mildly lactose intolerant. It had a richness and mouthfeel that is absent when real milk is used. The tea also had a very good flavor. The taro milk tea on the menu seems to be a popular drink here so I may try than next time. The dining room was very comfortable and modern. Staff were friendly, enthusiastic, and efficient. There is plenty of parking in the lot and access to and from Sierra Avenue is easy.

Service was excellent. Woman at counter was super nice, helpful and knowledgeable. I tend to order the same red curry at every place I go to, as it is my absolute favorite. Unfortunately they do not have it on the menu. Howwwwever... They offered to make it for me anyway, which was really appreciated! I have been wanting to try a different curry for a while now and decided on the Penang curry with chicken. I asked for it "Thai Spicy" and it was a great decision. It was super flavorful and I loved the taste. Lots of chicken and everything just came together. My only complaint was that it was not spicy. It was more like a mild. Honestly not even mad about it, that's how much I still enjoyed it! The restaurant itself reminded of every other Thai place for the most part, nothing special but then again you don't go to a small Thai place expending it to be fancy, you go there for what matters most. GOOD FOOD. I liked this spot a lot and would definitely go back!

Stopped by for lunch on a Friday and had a great experience! I was helped right away, and the customer service was excellent from start to finish. My food was ready within minutes, and everything was fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. I was craving Thai food, and this place definitely hit the spot! I ordered the Chicken Pad See Ew, and it was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The restaurant was clean, the staff was very attentive, and they're currently offering 20% off lunch, so it's the perfect time to check them out. I'll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend if you're looking for fresh, delicious Thai food and outstanding service!

Basil Chicken with egg and Thai Iced tea.

We took a chance on this place because of the reviews, and we are so glad we did. The boat noodles soup is so good, as well as the Thai Basil Chicken. The servings are large and food value for money. Times like these, I really appreciate that the servings are large enough to fill one's tummy while being budget friendly. Let's support places like this. I hope they maintain their quality.

I wish there was a delicious Thai restaurant lunch menu. It's a lot and delicious. I think the chef is Thai. It's a little more expensive than a nearby Thai restaurant. There are few employees compared to customers. The dishes didn't come out together, and when I ate one, one came out, and the last food came out after asking again for a long time.

For me the mild was a 4.5/10 spicy, to the point where it was still pretty enjoyable but had my nose running and kept biting into chilies.. I would suggest to omit the green hatch chilies and less red pepper flakes entirely from the mild soup and especially the drunken noodles. The teriyaki chicken on rice was a favorite! it was perfectly cooked, with golden chicken skin and a great sized portion. Overall with 1 change to the order spice level, I can't wait to order again.

I chose the Spicy Basil Leaf with pork. The dish was seasoned well but the spice level was barely detectable for me. I should have gone one level up. Flavor was savory and the pork was tender but a few more Thai basil leaves could have been added during the preparation. I found only three so the dish was somewhat bland. The shredded cabbage and lettuce salad with its mayonnaise base dressing was fresh. Soup was a light bodied vegetable broth with cabbage, onions, and carrots. Shrimp fried rice came with two nicely textured shrimp. The rice itself was just seasoned with soy sauce and had bits of scrambled egg within. Wontons consisted of two halves of a fried wonton wrapper with no filling. The Thai iced tea was sweet. Overall, a decent dinner with a fair amount of food. Service was polite and efficient. The restaurant was clean and comfortable in the dining room. Plenty of parking in the shopping center lot as well.

The pork buns had a subtle sweet and tender meat and the bun itself was fluffy. The lan fried dumplings didn't taste pan fried, they tasted deep fried and were a little too crispy. The filling was tender as had a lot of meat. The Xiao long bao had a nice amount of broth in them but the flavor was a little subtle. The shao mai are huge. They're almost too big and there's so much meat. I would enjoy a little more dumpling dough. The house special fried rice was amazing. The rice was moist, the meats were cooked perfectly, and it was aromatic with a nice umami flavor. My favorite item of the evening was the house special fish. The glaze in this lightly breaded fish was amazing. It gave a little sweet, a little savory, a little spicy. It was cooked with onions and mushrooms. I will come back just for this. The service was great. We were seated immediately and they bring the food out as they prepare it. The ambiance is casual. They have a small dining area near the counter to order and a larger area off to the side. They offer booth and table seating and can accommodate a larger area off party. Give them a try if in the Fontana area.

When you dine in, it's full service. I had no idea! The service was great. The waiter was helpful and gave recommendations on eat levels based on what was being ordered. The food is absolutely amazing and cooked fresh as you order it. I opted for the yellow curry chicken with no carrots - heat level 4 and a Thai beef salad - heat level 3. The curry is creamy and a little sweet from the coconut milk. It's got a golden looking broth and I love that you can choose the heat level you want. It's served with a side of rice. The Thai beef salad is bursting with flavor. It has tender juicy slices of grilled beef tossed with crisp veggies & fresh herbs in a dressing that dances on your pallet. It's sweet, sour, salty, and spicy but balanced to perfection. You have to give them a try!

The service was a definite high point of our visit. Our server was incredibly kind and made sure we were well taken care of, checking in on us consistently throughout the afternoon. As for the food, it was certainly good, but from a foodie perspective, it felt like it was missing that authentic "spark" and depth of flavor that defines high-quality Thai cuisine. It was a solid meal, but it didn't quite crack my top 10 favorites. Overall, I'm giving this a three-star rating. It's a pleasant spot with great service, and though the flavors didn't fully transport me this time, I'm willing to give it another shot at a later date to see if a second visit shifts my perspective.

Absolutely Incredible Experience at Sierra Noodle House!…read more If you're looking for one of the best hidden gems in the Inland Empire, Sierra Noodle House deserves a spot at the top of your list. From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the atmosphere. The restaurant is spotless, beautifully designed, and unlike any noodle house we've visited. The massive Hollywood murals featuring legends like Marilyn Monroe, Charlie Chaplin, Elvis Presley, Humphrey Bogart, Captain Jack Sparrow, Audrey Hepburn, Bruce Lee, The Beatles, and many more create an unforgettable dining experience. Combined with elegant crystal chandeliers, colorful LED lighting, and comfortable booths, it feels both modern and welcoming. The food was just as impressive. We ordered the Beef Bánh Mì, and it was absolutely delicious. The bread was perfectly crisp on the outside while staying soft inside, and the fresh cilantro, pickled vegetables, and tender beef created an incredible balance of flavors. At only $10, it's one of the best values you'll find. We also enjoyed both the Large House Sake and Small House Sake, served hot in beautiful ceramic bottles with adorable paper umbrellas. It's a fun presentation that adds to the experience. The menu has an amazing variety, including authentic pho, bánh mì, pad thai, garlic noodles, fried rice, chow mein, chow fun, Vietnamese rice plates, spring rolls, smoothies, desserts, and much more. There truly is something for everyone. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout our visit. The restaurant was exceptionally clean, organized, and clearly well cared for.
