Panang curry with beef
Nick P.

I pass by this place everyday so we decided to come here. I don't know about this place being authentic since I didn't see a single Thai person working there, but it's pretty decent for being close by. The dining room is not that small. It could seat a good number of people. We ordered crab rangoon, panang curry with beef, lad nar with beef, and Thai custard. The beef in both entrees could have been more tender, they were a little on the chewy side. The curry had a good amount of heat even at mild. The curry had a nice flavor. The lad nar was good, I liked the gravy. The Thai custard was good but small. $7 is too much. It's more like a $3-4 dessert. Service was very friendly. Prices were fair for the most part. 3.5-4. Average for a decent meal. Nothing to go out of your way for.

Chicken and Rice Soup

Came for a work lunch and was pleasantly surprised! Make sure to ask for the lunch special menu, otherwise they just give you the traditional dinner one. It came with a soup and wonton appetizer. The soup I got was chicken and rice and it was super simple but comforting (it did have a pretty strong ginger taste as well). The pad thai and fried rice both tasted very authentic! The chicken was cooked well and the noodles were the perfect texture. The server provides hot sauce to adjust the spice level (which in my opinion was needed, but if you are sensitive to spice it's perfect). I will definitely come again!

Tom Kha soup -- fantastic!!

I'm sorry, but after visiting many other Thai restaurants, I no longer can confirm this place accurately reflects the vibrant flavors of Thailand. This place is rather one of the many westernized Thai restaurants you will find all across Chicagoland. Food may still be delicious but not what one would consider authentic Thai cuisine. Please visit Kanlaya and Eat Fine By Kuhn Kung and you will see what I mean.

Green Curry - addictive!

I'm glad I found this spot. Tasty Pad See Ew, on point Panang Curry & Green Curry I want to guzzle. Fast service. I've dined in once and ordered take out thrice. Chill, calm dining ambience. I'll be back soon!

We are long-time customers. This was our Ginger Dish tonight. 80% green peppers as fillers. Wondering if new ownership. Just awful.

Drove from Oswego for this and it was well worth it! Food was so good. Ordered egg rolls and pot stickers for appetizers. Will definitely be back soon!

Friendly owner and the food never disappoints. If you enjoy duck their basil duck is a go to and best I've had in the area.

Food was fantastic, full of flavor, curry was spicy but not over powering. Service was great. We would 100% recommended.

There were a few other tables seated for dine in but it looks like they do a lot of carry out. Menu was extensive Food was delicious and fresh! Massaman Curry and fried rice dishes were really good. We were looking for a comfortable, accessible and reasonably priced restaurant with normal Thai cuisine. This place was perfect for us and we will definitely be back!

It was the perfect opportunity to try a variety of items. Here is what we ordered: Thai iced tea (4) Egg roll, vegetarian (4) Chicken satay (2) Pad see eiw w/beef (2) Crispy Thai noodles w/tofu (2) Green curry with tofu (2) Basil seafood with extra seafood mix (2) Mixed veggie stir-fry with shrimp (2) Mango and sticky rice (4) Overall, we were satisfied with the flavor profiles and everything was delivered in an efficient manner. The portions are not large and I think we would order two more entrees when we revisit with our large group of 14. We have had mango and sticky rice many times in the past. This is our first time having it with a purple-bluish color sticky rice. I don't think it made much difference with the flavors but the kids were turned off by it and refused to try. Then again, kids are sporadic and we can never truly tell what appeals to them. The mango was not ripe but this was back in March when mangos were not in season. Otherwise, we would definitely return and we are eager to try the other items such as crispy catfish curry and pepper squid.

I recently moved to the suburbs and have been struggling to find "my" Thai place. Enter Baisi Thai!…read more I'm not asking for much out of a Thai place: consistency and a few good options that I can bounce between depending on my mood. My go to is usually pad Thai, but when I saw the Kao Soy on their menu, I jumped at the chance! It is out of this world! I feel like some Thai spots just get it, and baisi thai is on point! I usually place my order for pickup but I have eaten inside their restaurant twice. The staff is fairly young and eager to help. On one particular day, a few of the staff and I were discussing the winter weather advisory and how their schools were closed tomorrow for a snow day:) It was nice to banter while waiting for my pickup. Look no further- this is the best Thai place I've found in the western suburbs. By a long shot!

For sure this pretty small Thai restaurant in Westmont was better than expected. It looked like it…read morewas going to be some cheap counter order place, judging by the strip mall location. Baisi Thai is actually a pretty nice looking one, even though it's clearly run on the cheap. Maybe the food isn't as nice as the pictures, and maybe the portions aren't as big as they let on. The food still tasted better than we thought it would be though. Came at lunch. It was quiet and there was no one else eating inside, which could have been a bad sign. This was also on the weekend. Maybe it's just because of the location. This is on 63rd a ways from the shopping center with Mariano's and stuff. Boring looking area. It's about $11 for an entree. Good prices, cheaper than at many other Thai restaurants apparently. I got the Pad Kee Mao. This is flat rice noodles with basil, garlic, and mixed vegetables. Choose a protein. I got tofu. Good spice but it was a pretty small portion. She got the Pad Thai. Again, small portion. That's why it was so cheap it seems. Better than expected as far as flavor, as it can get pretty hot. It's overall good with the only bad thing about it is they skimp on the portions. There's plenty of choices for vegans and vegetarians.

Was wary because of the overall rating, but saw the portions were big and I was hungry. This place…read moreis excellent, the food came out quickly and tasted excellent. We got the baby egg rolls (good), the chicken satay (really good peanut sauce, mix it with the chili paste), cashew chicken, pad thai with glass noodles, and a plate of fried rice to share. I'm a 100kg powerlifter and can absolutely put it away, and the pad Thai + half of the fried rice was enough for me. I'm visiting from Washington so it's hard to compare this place against (arguably) more "authentic" spots in Seattle, but it hit the spot and I'm happy to have gone. Compared to Washington prices, this place was a steal at $78 for 3 entrees and 2 apps. They had cheesy AI music playing though, which is lame as hell.

There were only 2 tables occupied on a Sunday night besides a few people picking up to-go orders. For this visit, I've tried: GREEN CURRY (CHICKEN), PRIK KING (CHICKEN), BASIL EGGPLANT (CHICKEN), PAD KEE MAO (BEEF) and CRAB RANGOON. I liked the flavors of the eggplant dish over the others, but unfortunately, they were all bland. The vegetables were fresh and added the crunchy texture to the dishes. The portions were big enough to share. The place is clean, and the service is pleasant. Would I go back? I'm not sure. We had a lot of leftovers, not because we were full, but because our dishes did not have flavors.
