Went at 6pm on a Sunday, and was told a lot of things on the menu were not available. I ordered pad Thai to-go, and it looked sooo good. Not sticky, good wetness even after getting it home. BUT... it was bland and plain. Portion size was good, but I needed to flavor it myself. I ordered a level 9 spiciness and they were shy about it. It tasted like a level 3 at best. Again, I had to throw in my own Thai chili, dried chili powder, and jalapeños to get my level 9. I had a large Thai iced tea (they had a medium on the menu but not available), and it was also weak. Great Thai food. Great setup for Covid. Order and pickup at the door. You cannot enter the establishment. (No seating for dining due to covid). You may call in your order or place your order at the door. Good selection of items on the menu. And they consistently have two of my favorites - fish cakes and mango sticky rice. Very friendly staff. Quick delivery of food. Spicy levels tend to be more spicy so if you prefer a milder version, I suggest ordering at least one level lower than you would at other places. It is a small hidden gem. Service is friendly and good but they need more staff, some customers were waiting for the menu quite a while and one drink man got mad, and created quite a drama... Started with fried cream cheese wontons, they were crispy, and full of cream cheese! I liked they minimized the seasoning on the cheese, I could enjoy rich cream cheese filling! Tomyum soup was very flavorful and sour, I enjoyed the big chunks of plenty of veggies in the soup. Pad see ew, they use good beef, the meat is very tender and noodles were perfectly cooked, the soy sauce was not overwhelming, it was not oily. Orange chicken, I really liked its flavor in the sauce and the texture of fried chicken but the pieces were too small, I was eating more batter than meat. Nothing fancy, prices are pretty compatible, not necessarily cheaper, but overall food tasted good, ambience is clean, this little place will definitely satisfy my thai food craving. This place gets a five star rating from me for their incredible lunch special and the food quality is great as well. For about $8 you get soup, salad, an entree (I recommend the green curry chicken, the pad thai is excellent as well), a piece of fruit, a wonton, and free ice tea or ice coffee. Love this place! It's definitely all it's cracked up to be. Got takeout from here once prior. The staff was very nice and food was tasty. We dined in this time and the food was even better than last time! Pretty sure you get more generous servings when you dine in. I also got a free Thai iced tea for checking in on Yelp! Thursday night around 6:30 p.m. the place was fairly busy with several takeout orders. We tried the beef pad see ew, yellow curry, and orange chicken. The yellow curry was listed on the menu as a spicy item but literally had no hint of spice (would be probably be great for a child or someone sensitive to spices being introduced to yellow curry). I agree with other comments that the chicken and potatoes did not seem to have any of the curry flavor soaked in. The curry was also in a small bowl for the price compared to other places. The pad see ew seemed kinda watery. The beef was tender though. I agree with others that it was on the sweeter side for pad see ew. Orange chicken's sauce was really orange-y. It had real oranges but the flavor of the sauce made me think some of the oranges used were past their prime. Wasn't bad, but based on these three dishes I'd rate the food a 3 overall (would eat again if someone took us there but we'd probably never think to go there). read more

The restaurant is a small and cozy with a Thai theme. The menu is very adequate in filling everyone's Thai needs from appetizers, salads, soups, noodles, curries, rice, ala carte, and specialties. We decided to get their Drunken Thai Spicy Spaghetti with Pork and Mixed Vegetables Ala Carte with chicken because it was different from the usual Pad Thai, Pad See Eww, Pineapple Fried Rice, Tom Yum Soup, you know the deal! From a 1-10 spicy level, we got 6, and it made my nostrils drip & mouth heated. It was DELICIOUS. The spices that they use are chili pepper flakes for the most part, but I'm sure there are other ingredients to. We got the mixed vegetables first with white rice. It was a simple dish of vegetables & chicken in their watered down brown curry sauce. Think of it some what like Broccoli and Beef. Eating this with rice felt like a mother's meal as it was hearty. The drunken thai spicy spaghetti came after and I was surprised by the noodle choice. They were thin yellow noodles. I was expecting large spaghetti noodles, however this worked out very well as it could hold the sauce and was easier to twist around on my fork. With peppers & pork, I was in Thai heaven. The reviews don't lie, Thai Corner provides an adequate Thai experience all the way here in Lake Forest. Service was spot on and helpful, prices were fair. read more

I ordered the Crying Tiger, (Deep fried tofu, served with Thai sweet and sour sauce and crushed peanuts), TOM YUM GOONG (Spicy and sour shrimp lemongrass soup with mushroom seasoned with lime juice and fresh Thai chili), and the CHICKEN YELLOW CURRY (Chicken, potato, onion and carrot simmered in special yellow curry sauce and rich coconut milk). Ordered the Fresh Summer Roll and when I picked it up it instantly fell apart. Was not even wrapped on the bottom. This place has delicious food and it's so close to our house. This is the second this we've had the food here, first time was dine in, and obvi due to Covid we had to do takeout this time. Pad Thai - great bold flavors, noodles were a great al dente texture. Chicken is maybe a bit dry, but forgiveable bc the dish was still so tasty. Green curry - yummy, warm, full coconut-y flavors. Packed full of veggies, and they used soft tofu (which I prefer to the fried tofu). Though the texture was much thinner than I have had at other restaurants I like that it's not as filling so I can have a second helping! Potstickers - very good, perfect crispy texture, I like that the skin was thin. Nothing I haven't had at other restaurants before, but delicious none the less. Tom Yum soup - I didn't have any bc I just can't do sour soup, but the hubs said it was very good so you'll just have to take his word for it. The only thing we've had here that we didn't like very much was their chicken wings. It was covered in a glazy sauce that had a weird sweet and sour flavor. Review for Saturday, March 25,2023. If you dined in today, you can agree that it was a nightmare in there. Service: Only one lady was running the register and the tables! I understand that a lot of places are short staffed, but a warning would have been nice. No respect for customers time. We waited one hour for our food. I can say that our eggrolls arrived 25 minutes after ordering. Several people walked in, sat down and left. Food: after waiting for one hour for our food, we we are very sad to say that our food was not with the wait! Our Pad Thai was missing flavor! Like a lot! We got one chicken pad that and one shrimp pad Thai, and one beef chow mein. All three dishes were missing flavor. Very disappointed after waiting over an hour for our food, only for the food not to taste good. Advice to the owner: please warn your guests that there will be an hour wait. Just like all other restaurants have the courtesy to do so. Make sure you bring water to your guests. We never got our water after we requested it. Lastly. Make sure you don't compromise flavor when in a rush. If your making your customers wait, please make sure the cooks does a good job. Sadly, so not plan on coming back. The wontons were completely dissolved in the broth and it looked visual unappetizing to eat with pieces of wonton floating. The soup tasted like soy sauce. I ordered the steak salad and every single piece was steak was a piece of fat. No meat at all. Ordered eggrolls and they tasted like Chinese fast food eggrolls, nothing authentic. Ordered egg rolls, prik king, crying tiger and yellow curry. Might be the best Thai food I've had in OC. The ingredients were so fresh and flavorful, the meat was tender and cooked perfectly. I asked for "spicy" but next time I'll ask for "extra spicy" as I thought the prik king lacked the heat I love. The crying tiger was a surprise favorite, I think they used beef brisket. So tender. I will definitely order from Thai Corner again. Great food. Update 10/20/2020. I asked for "spicy spicy spicy" and they delivered! Prik King was delicious with the extra spice. This was the first time we tried Thai Corner, and the service was awesome (they gave us a free Thai tea and were able to get us our food quickly) and the curries were really food (we got a masuman and yellow curry). Unfortunately for being the top Thai Food choice in the area on Yelp I found this place to be less than. There were just a few people in the restaurant-that should have told me something as it was a Friday night. However we love to support local businesses so we decided to give it a try. We ordered the Chicken Pad Thai and Spicy Beef fried Rice. Both dishes were lacking in true Thai flavor. The Pad Thai's noodles were predominantly all congealed together, with about a half of a sliced up chicken breast(if that) , 5 crushed up baby peanuts and one sliver of green onion. The spicy rice was also not to be desired in true Thai fashion. It was too oily and meager portions of beef, especially since their prices were a bit inflated considering the portion of what you got. I think $14 for the Pad Thai and $17 for the rice. I did like the hot sauce on the side, good flavor to it. It helped a touch. To bad this place wasn't a hit for us. We would have been regulars since we love Thai Food and have it quite regularly. We are often in the Lake Forest area as well. Oh well back to Fountain Valley. read more
