Very cute Thai place! The chef is really happy and outgoing! She is the only chef there from what she told us and the food was delicious! Nothing extraordinarily breathtaking haha but good nonetheless. We ordered the curry fried rice, pad Thai, and papaya salad. Their dishes are cute and come with colorful chopsticks!! This place is great. People are always nice and the food is fantastic. I highly recommend the Pineapple Fried Rice! Just know that it has raisins in it which is uncommon and if you don't like that just ask them to hold it. They're good about phone orders too if I call in 15 minutes before the food is always ready when I get there. read more

Had a problem with them before, thought I will give them another chance. Ordered $80.00 worth of food to take out. Called in my order, I was told it would be ready in 30 minutes. I ordered sweet and sour shrimp, instead I got sweet and sour chicken, difference in price, shrimp is more expensive. During dinner I noticed the sweet and sour shrimp was missing. I called them about that, the gal who took my order answered, said that I got sweet and sour chicken, but I specifically ordered the shrimp, and I was charged for the shrimp. Before picking up my order, we went thru my list repeating what I ordered. She said for me to come back on the nights she works, and I would get the sweet and sour shrimp, free. After having some unpleasant experience at one Thai restaurant, food at Thai Corner felt like heaven sent compare to the other place I went. The only thing though is just as other reviewers mentioned, I wish the service were quicker especially during lunch hours. Also, when calling in Asian restaurants for to-go it is absolutely necessary to make your order super clear and double triple confirm your order to make sure they understand you clearly and correctly since there's always high chances of miscommunication over the phone. I'm emphasizing on this b/c I thought I made myself clear by ordering 1 regular size Pad See You and Crying Tiger but they got me the lunch special size instead of the regular one which I found out after I came back to work. I was in a hurry due to lunch hours that I didn't double check my food before leaving which is part of my fault but still this is the result of phone in to-go that failed. Yes, lunch special is cheaper but portion is way smaller and it comes with the salad (lettuce with dressing), weird looking deep friend wonton, and a slice of orange which I really don't care for. I would rather get my stomach full with full meal than half portion with those. Overall it's a nice place with delicious food that deserves second try which will definitely have to be dining in b/c this place has very interesting Thai décor that creates a pleasant and unique vibe. read more

Well first of all, the place wasn't that bad. It's a small place but very good. You MUST try the "Crying Tiger." It's like the best dish they have. The service was pretty bad. Once we sat down they just gave us a menu and didn't do anything for about 30mins even though we said that we were ready. Took about another 5 mins until they came, and after we ordered, we asked for napkins and water which took another 15 mins. No I'm not exaggerating, it really did take that long. Once we got our food, It was amazing. The "Crying Tiger" was delicious. You should also try the Pineapple Curry. The food was great, but the service is ok. Really solid little Thai place, great benefit is that it is close to our house at the moment. My husband tried the Crying Tiger and I went with the Pad Thai. My husband loved his, and I thought mine was decent. Not to be picky because it is just Pad Thai, and everyone has their preference, but you won't be disappointed or anything. I Love Thai Corner! I always come here when I'm craving Thai food. After searching hi and lo for years in south county my bf and I found this place on yelp last year. We've been coming back since then. I've had multiple items from here the crying tiger, yellow curry, red curry, fried rice etc. The flavor is really authentic thai. The service is spot on. The price is perfect. They have lunch and dinner specials that come with thai tea or thai coffee and a choice of an appetizer. It always hard finding good authentic Asian food in South County. I just wanted some Thai, but what I got was what has now become my go-to place if I want Thai food. Crying Tiger is very tender beef with rich flavor. The Pad Thai and Pad See Ew taste great and the noodles are neither over nor under cooked. I've tried two or three of their soups, but can't remember which ones. The flavor is strong in their soups, so I don't know if everyone would like it, but its worth trying if you haven't had the flavor of lemongrass, spices, and coconut in your mouth all at once. We were not aware what to order with this certificate & it did not say on the certificate to not order from the special combo menu.. So today, my family and I returned to this place after coming here occasionally. Every time we visit, we are always greeted with a huge smile and felt welcome. Today, the owner was the only one in the front of the house taking care of everything. From serving to clearly tables, she was doing it all. It was humbling to see her working so hard. We went around 2 o'clock and it was slowing down. There was a large party of about 12 people that took up the center of the dining room, and a couple small parties to the side. She reset a table and sat us down. She offered us Thai tea, which is INCREDIBLE, and I myself ordered one. Very tasty and refreshing. We ordered chicken Pad Thai, spicy basil beef, green chicken curry, pad pikpow, crying tiger, and spicy peanut chicken. All the dishes were sensational. We also ordered the fried calamari appetizer and it was one of the best I've had. This place is sensational and El lights the place up with her awesome personality and hard work.
