So I have this bracelet my Grandmother gave me before she passed and my Sister asked to borrow it for a function she was attending out of town. I lent it to her and she came back with a broken finger and my bracelet broken on one side. Oh boy. LOL! It was not her fault though (someone tried to snatch her purse and the bracelet got caught up in the melee), and she was VERY remorseful about it and offered to pay to get it repaired. The way it was broken, I was not sure if anyone could fix it, so I checked around and found Thacker Jewelry online. I took it in and they gave me a quote to repair it, and it was very reasonable. 2 weeks later, my beloved bespoke is back with me and looks as good as new! I could not be more pleased and I will certainly go back to them if I have anything else to get repaired. My Sister is on the mend and is forgiven, and it is like it never happened. :) Very pleasant customer service and prompt service. Thanks Thacker Jewelry!

My beautiful engagement ring and wedding ring (from Thacker), then repaired by Thacker!

Thacker is an amazing jeweler with great craftsmanship & quality! If you're looking for lightning fast service or the cheapest prices, Thacker Jewelry may not be for you. But if you want quality, detail-oriented work, great deals on amazing, custom jewelry, and great West Texas service and care, you'll want to come here. My husband had my engagement ring made at Thacker in 2013. He let me know that he was initially shocked by the sticker price on each piece, but he then learned in talking with the ladies on the floor that the actual price of each item is 30-50% off the sticker price. He chose a beautiful setting with amazing details that I absolutely love but that was also affordable for a young college graduate to purchase. I had my ring sized down a few times, trying to get the perfect fit. They let me know to do a little at a time (given we got engaged in the winter) to make sure my ring would seem to fit year-round. A few months later, my husband bought a wedding band with inset diamonds that matched the engagement ring, working with the folks at Thacker to make it a surprise for me! Over the past few years, I would stop by and get my ring cleaned when I was in the area, and it was always quick and easy! I already loved Thacker, but it was made certain when I accidentally damaged my engagement ring and it needed hefty repair to make it wearable again. The shape of the ring was smashed and 4 of the pave diamonds fell out, so I contacted them to see have them fix it - even though I now live in California! I knew someone in CA could fix it, but it was important to me that I got *my* engagement ring back, looking exactly how it did when my now-husband proposed. I mailed off my engagement ring and wedding band (so they could align the inset diamonds) via USPS certified mail (about $25 with insurance) and they got to work. After about a week, they mailed it back to me and it was PERFECT and such a relief to have it on my hand again! I am so thankful for Thacker and their service, and I love their work. I'm glad to be a local and cross-country customer of theirs now!

My fiancé got my ring from Thacker's, it was perfect but needed resized before we went out of town. They had it done in less than 24 hours. I was extremely impressed and everyone there is so helpful and kind!! Definitely recommend them.

Hands down best place in town. They saved me after a bad experience at Jared's and ironically our consultants name is Jared. They're the best and most reasonably priced (half the price of everywhere else in town). Here's my ring!

She's a beauty. I didn't get her at Thacker, but they treated her like family thanks for fixing her!

Oh my stars do I love Thacker. It is hard to trust anyone besides yourself with you beautiful and precious diamonds (Picture me saying this sentence like Spiegel from Lord of The Rings for comic relief). Anyways, your diamonds and jewelry are so sentimental and hold so much meaning. The last thing you want is some dummy to mess that up. Thacker was recommended by a friend who got her engagement ring here. I trust here and there wasn't much on Yelp yet to really give me a firm hold on where I should go. Thacker just moved to a new location on 82nd close to Iola. It is a gorgeous. I walked in and felt underdressed and in awe of all the shiny. I was immediately greeted with multiple smiles and hellos. I explained that one of my tiny diamonds on my band had managed to escape and wanted to replace the run away. Jerrod was calm and confident and took the ring to the back to see the situation. He came back within 5 minutes to let me know it would only be $16 for the tiny spec of a diamond and $18 for the labor. I was shocked with what a great deal that was! I dropped my ring off on a Thursday and was quoted it being ready in no more than a week. Surprise they called me Early Monday and it was already finished. Here's where it gets really good. I showed up. Again greeted like I was royalty. Jerrod was there. Again. He remembered me, went and got my ring. The whole process cost $2 less than quoted and they fixed another tiny diamond on the band that a precious place had sunken in too far. MY RING LOOKED PERFECT. They fixed something for free and charged me $2 less that planned. I feel so confident in Thacker's customer service and values. They want to make you feel like you and your ring/jewelry are special and a priority and they are very good at it. This is my go to jewelry in Lubbock for life. They earned a lifetime customer out of me and I am not even mad.

I lost a diamond in my halo of my engagement ring. As we recently relocated to Lubbock, I wanted to get my ring repaired locally rather than send it off. The price for replacement and repair was reasonable and fast. To err on the side of caution, they quoted a two week turnaround. I was called within three days advising my ring was ready. The replacement diamond was a great match and the repair appears to be seamless. Highly recommend.

Beautiful creations from Thacker's! Photo cred: Lissa Anglin Photography

She's dishonest as you can tell that she was quick to claim that she owned the business that she never owns. My teenage son went to get a vintage ring for my Christmas gift. She took him to the engagement ring section and selected a solitaire yellow gold ring and informed my son that there are clusters of diamonds and that the ring is vintage. She's the most dishonest person I've ever encountered in life. She could've told him that the vintage rings available at the store is out of his price range. However, she convinced a teenage boy who doesn't know much about jewelry that a simple diamond solitaire ring is a vintage ring with clusters of diamonds. We went back to the store and was helped by a different lady before Sandy interrupted the lady. Sandy was the rudest, most dishonest manager I've ever encountered in life. Her approach is a cop out, lower approach because she knows she has to face her lies. She wouldn't let us speak. She interrupted ALL THE TIME! She kept pointing to the receipt and says all sales are final. She didn't offer to correct her mistake, or exchange with anything. She's a sad older lady. I wonder if she's the cause that this place is closing down.

I was speaking with a female sales person when a tall, older gentleman walked up and to see what we were discussing. He looked at my watch and said, "It's just an internet brand", and walked away. Actually, Ulysse Nardin is a luxury Swiss watchmaker that has been in business since 1846. According to the last official report of Neuchâtel Observatory in Switzerland, Ulysse Nardin had won numerous awards and honors for its marine chronometers from 1846 to 1975, including 4324 certificates, 2411 special prizes and 10 gold medals at International Exhibitions. By the 1870s, Ulysse Nardin's marine chronometers were in service with over 50 navies and international shipping companies Larry King, Michael Jordan, and Jeff Bezos all proudly wear timepieces from this illustrious watchmaker. The gentleman at Anderson Bros. was obviously attempting to insult me and my choice of watches by declaring it "just an internet brand", but he only succeeded in proving his ignorance. Perhaps he should educate himself prior to attempting to insult customers who enter his shop seeking to make a purchase. I took my watch to a very reputable jeweler in Dallas and they were able to order an OEM replacement band for just under $1200. Anderson Bros is a beautiful store with many nice pieces but they fail miserably in their treatment of customers.
