It makes sense as a lot of the items are glass themselves or otherwise fragile. Lots of jewelry, watches, and even a good case-full of old pens and pencils (most not in the greatest shape). Perhaps one of the most interesting collections is the one along the left wall with lots of old WWII items and a huge collection of knives both antique and newer. Further back in the store you can find the larger items and furniture pieces. There's a cool Coca-Cola-everything booth. Tons of stationery and postcards. Many old boxes and containers still sealed with the original product inside. Staff is a bunch of friendly older folks that it was a pleasure to chat with. It's a eclectic mixture of antiques, modern handmade items (like bowties, children's toys, jewelry, goat's milk soap, and beard supplies), and items that are repurposed antiques with a fresh spin (we saw a bed lamp made from vintage siren - very cool!). If you're in downtown Lubbock, this is definitely a place to stop by! And if you're a local, they host events like live music and are open during the First Friday Night Art Trail - so definitely check that out!

I called and spoke with Irasella (may have spelled that wrong) and she found what she thought would work and sent me a pic. I was on my way home from Dallas to NM and would be driving through LBK. It was perfect, but I was a little afraid that I might not be there before they closed. She said to call if that was the case. As I drove, Mapquest put my arrival at 5:37. I didn't want to make anyone wait that long, so I called and asked if I could pay for it and then come get it later in the week. She asked if it would mean a special trip from NM and it would have so I asked if I could pay for shipping. She said she would run an errand at 5:00, but would be back for me at 5:30. She was there and had even found another option that might work with several extra accessories. I bought what I thought would make a boy with a VERY specific Halloween request happy and while she rang me up, I browsed. The place is darling! Very eclectic variety and all very appealing. And with customer service like this, I'm going to come back when I have more time. Irasella saved the day!
