Pawn Texas was recommended to me by a good friend. He recommended them for a transfer. They did not disappoint. The staff greeted me immediately. They were very knowledgable and were able to answer all of my questions. They were able to offer accessories to go with my item without pressuring me to buy. While waiting for my transfer I browsed the inventory and noticed that they had a little of everything. It was apparent that they were particular about the items that they accepted. 0 is my rating. I bought a PS4 remote yesterday. They said I had 24 hours if I needed to take it back. It was a dud. I never even used on a game box. I bought it for my 11 year old grandson because his sister is going to give him a PS4 game console and has no remote for it. So it had buttons that were stuck and it never charged no matter how long I had it on the charger. They claimed it wasn't the same one I bought from them less than 24 hours ago. They said the "serial number" didn't match. There was no visible serial number on the controller at all when I bought it. I assumed they had tested it before they took it for a pawn or a but.... apparently NOT! So I bought it in good faith figuring it had to work and be in good condition for them to EVEN put it up for sale. Boy was I wrong.! So I went up there a second time with my 17 year old grandson and they STILL denied that I bought that remote there and that I just brought a broken one to pretend it was the one I bought from there so I could get my $29.99 back ( like I'm a crackhead liar). So I don't recommend buying from this rip off pawn shop!! I'm 70 years old and live on a fixed income. They saw me coming and thought I was an easy PAWN! Don't buy anything from the short blond old lady with glasses!! She's a great liar!! Don't let your GRANDMA get ripped off when she's just trying to get a gift!! read more

Been going here yrs but NO more .I went to get something out and mentioned I was planning on moving NOT that I was in the process just looking and denied me the ability to get my stuff out without changing my DL even though I stated MANY TIMES I haven't moved and everything is current, so had to pay an extra finance charge to extend and take care of everything. Went in to get it out and got hell because I did exactly what I was forced to do,my new address didn't match on file,then they kept my finance charge instead of putting towards the final charge to get out .it's the 22nd and all of next month is paid but that's just free money for them .NEVER GOING BACK after 8yrs I'm never going back. read more

Be advised if you fill out paperwork to buy firearm it can be 5 minutes or 7 days before you get the approval. The lady Marggie was real quick to take my payment and let me walk around the store only to say "the system froze I am sorry" 20 minutes later. They should tell a customer it may be 5 minutes or 7 days before we get a response not let them wait like that. I then tried to cancel the purchase and Irene(general manager) said all sales are final? Sale means I walked out of the store with a product which I didn't. DO NOT PAY FOR YOUR GUN UNTIL THE ATF CHECK GOES THROUGH...They won't let you cancel it and you will not be able to return your purchase if you ask. Go to ACADEMY this place is shady!
