Eleven of us ordered food, including enormous tubs of rice, giant and entirely amazing onion bhajis (definitely get some of these- big scotch egg sized tasty globes). Everyone had something different, and there was a bit of sharing too, everyone was happy. The hotter ones have a reasonable kick, and a surprisingly good one was the shampan- picked out of morbid curiosity, with mozzarella cheese on top, and not swimming with fat. We were all very full, and the Naans still tasted nice the next morning!

We had the appetizer assortment consisting of lamb, chicken and onion bharji which was fantastic. Popadoms were fresh and served with a delicious pickle tray. I had the lamb balti which was one of the best i've ever had, fall apart tender morsels of lamb in a delicious brown curry sauce, spiced to perfection, incredible dish all round, i added chapati and rice and couldn't be happier with my decision. Service was outstanding, extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff making this my new go to Indian whenever i'm in the UK!

The barstaff recomended the Aagra, I didnt realise how close it was (£15 taxi each way ) Also I had a guest from Milan with me who wanted to try a typical English night out. So we had 4 or 5 quick pints at the hotel and off for a curry !!! As the cab dropped the three of us off in the jam packed carpark I thought maybe should have booked - even though it was a Tuesday night ! The bar staff said the wait would be about 20 mins so we grabbed three pints and waited by the bar. True to their word 20 mins later we were shown to the table. Papads and dips duly arrived with the menus. We each had soup ( dhall for the other two and yakhnee for me ) the soup was very good - the chicken yakhnee is actually from pakistan and is mega spicy - think chicken broth with a dozen chillis per bowl ! Mains were chicken Madras for me, chicken dhansak for Mike and Lamb Passanda for Stefano. All mains were excellent, loads of meat, good sized portion and very (temp) hot. three rice , one aloo paratha one naan three sides , dhall makahani , aloo sag , channa masalla. two pints each one irish coffee , one expresso , one brandy. £100.00 with tip - so very good quality and very good value. Im back in Doncaster for the St Ledger and will probably book a meal here at night. If you are in the area and in the mood for Indian food you will be fine here - maybe better to book though !
