From my experience, this has never happened here. My favourite is the Chicken Tikka Dansak, which is flavourful and tangy and balanced well with the lentils. My partner enjoys their Chilli Chicken, which is almost like a hybrid chinese/indian dish, and although HOT has a depth of flavour. Naan breads = divine! Restaurant itself: Relaxed and cosy environment, unusually decorated! There's elements of your usual curry house decor, mixed with Roman pillars, faux vines and a tented balcony area which I love, it's perfect for couples. Equally, I've also gone as part of a large group (12) and they have been able to accommodate us well, the service has always been good no matter the number of people at the table. I recommend this place to everyone I know, and so far no-one I have taken has been disappointed!

Meal was nice, with good portions, even replacing Naan when waiter realised original was over done. Very enjoyable. Received bill and paid in cash, with tip and thanked staff. Got a couple of hundred yards or so down the road, when waiter chases us down and indicates the cash I'd handed to waited hadn't covered the bill. I was surprised, as I was sure I'd over paid based on the bill I'd been given. But I apologised and gave the waiter some additional cash, after he showed me what he claimed was the carbon copy of my bill. That "copy" did show a higher value than I remembered seeing when paying, but I assumed I'd misread the bill - perhaps misreading a sub-total for a grand total. That was my actual mistake. I had kept my bill and it was in my pocket. I should have looked, but I didn't until the following morning. I had not mis-read the bill. I'd paid correctly, so sadly, it seems likely I got scammed out of extra money. So, I advise that diners beware. Food was nice (based on what I had), but this apparent post-dinning scam has left a rather bitter taste, which is disappointing.

First the 'bad' news; this is in a manky part of Sheffield, but I've never had any problems round…read morethe Mangla. Now the Excellent news: the food is fantastic, the staff are really friendly and it's a bring-your-own bottle place (there're a couple of off-licenses across the road) so the bill is much less than what you'd expect. Honestly, you can pay three to four times the bill elsewhere in town for food that's not as good. I can recommend the veggie vindaloo, tarka dhall, Bombay aloo, channa massala etc. etc. Plus, they serve complimentary poppadoms and pickles and table water: who else does that these days? Recent example: dinner at the Mangla for 13: bill £99. They don't accept cards so check down the back of your sofa for loose change and GO!

I ordered a Chicken Tikka Balti which is one of my favorite indian dishes (if it's done right). It was the most expensive indian dish that I have ever bought with 1 naan bread it cost £9.60, they also gave me a small starter which was a bag of salad and a sauce quite nice as well I had it after my balti. The Balti had plenty of meat in and had a rich thick spicey sauce, it was the hottest balti's that I have tried among restaurants and take-aways, I thought it was perfect at first but began to struggle towards the end because of the spices. I very much enjoyed the balti but the price is too steep unfortunatly, I may go back to Mangla and try a cheaper dish to see what it's like. The food is worth 5/5 but I have knocked off 1 star becauase of the cost.
