They…read morealso have a place in Snaith above a pub, but for eating in, it's much better to come to the Cowick one as it's run completely by the shapla guys, whereas drinks at the Snaith one come from downstairs and they can be a bit funny, and were actually quite rude to one of the shapla waiters the last time I went. The shapla staff at both places are great, but it's better when the pub staff aren't involved! I tend to get jeera lamb or chicken, or slyhety special, as they are my favourites, and they are shapla specials. They also have all the usuals, plus a lot of specials. I've not found an Indian to beat this place yet, my boyfriend and I just love their food! It's also very nice to eat in at the cowick location, it used to be the bay horse pub and has been updated and the environment is lovely. I think you can sit in the bar if you are waiting for a table, but I've not had to wait before as I usually book. They are closed all day Tuesday but open every other evening.
