We were very fortunate to avoid a collision, and we also were fortunate that Superior Brake was there to help. The incident occurred late in the day, so they stored the truck inside over night and fixed it the next day -- for a price that I consider fair. In addition to…read morethe rear axle work I had done there that failed multiple times (which I've written a review on) , I just had more rework done. Although this time I brought it to a reputable shop to have the work done as: 1. Bernings doesn't honor their work, no warranty. 2. I didn't want to go through the same issue I had with the rear axle, paying for repairs and then repeated failures. 3. I' wanted the work done right. The universal joint that was replaced at Bernings turned out to be the incorrect part which then of course failed. In addition, the tie rod end I had replaced at Bernings also failed. As I stated in my previous review, the technicians (I'm using this term very loosely with these clowns) have no clue what they're doing. And the owner, your typical con man. So be warned, stay away from Bernings.

When there is staff there, they are less than apologetic or willing to remedy the situation. On a recent occasion, there was construction debris in one of the bays and a large nail went through my shoe and into my foot. I called to make them aware and to let them know the spot free rinse wasn't working and received NOTHING from a customer service perspective. Not an apology, an offer to remove the charge, a discounted or free wash, an "I'm sorry that happened, are you ok?". NOTHING except a "you enter at your own risk" response and "construction vehicles go through there all the time". So, if you value your car tires, how your car looks, and don't want nails in your feet, I would recommend going elsewhere.

They gain your trust and then you scam you out of thousands of dollars without an apology. They quote you $460 for brake pads on a car that has been there for multiple inspections and then they charge you $1300. The same car they charged $1100 to fix the heater blower in the middle of December. They charged more than the car was worth after quoting significantly less. They are very nice people, but be careful.

The gentlemen that I was dealing with on the phone did not explain the situation well at all and the potential outcome. If I knew the percentage was high that I would be in an additional 700-800 dollars, I would have chosen not to proceed. That is a fourth of the cars value. Very disappointed in the transparency of the communication. I would look somewhere else to service your vehicle.
