I ordered online the whiskey glazed chicken and the Cajun pasta to go. I checked the bags and neither lid was secured. The small container with the whiskey glazed had no lid period so that spilled all over everything. A bread stick came with food and of course it was in the same container as food so bread stick was a soggy mess. I love Fridays and being that we have had this water crisis I wanted to eat out instead of boiling more water only to have this happen. The restaurant was kind of empty and I wasn't in a rush so its no excuse for careless prep and containers

Worst Fridays I've been to. And I've been to many locations. The bathroom floor was so sticky, my flip flop came off of my foot walking in. It was apparent the restrooms are neglected. Which begs the question, how clean is the kitchen? The server was friendly and checked back regularly. The menu was limited and didn't have some of the traditional items, like French onion soup and jack Daniels chicken and shrimp. I ordered the classic Friday's combo. That should have been a safe bet. The wings were tiny and over fried. The sauce was good, but the bones of the wings crumbled and went in my mouth when i took a bite. I've eaten many, many wings and that has never happened. They were basically inedible. The potato skins, which they are "famous" for, were definitely frozen. They might have been potatoes in 2013, but have probably been frozen since. The mozzarella sticks were ok. Hard to mess those up. Service good. Food bad. Won't go back, especially with plenty of other options in the area. Corporate needs to pay a visit here.

Things have changed the past few years for this establishment. They no longer sell certain things like my usual pecan crusted chicken salad. They were understaffed and you could tell by the waitresses faces. We couldn't seat ourselves where we wanted she told staffing. J usually opt for table but we were seated at the booth. Red chair was extremely uncomfortable. Food was fair , didn't get a refill on tea. Cook left a few items off our order but they fixed it when we brought to their attention. Don't think I'll be back anytime soon.

"Medium rare 6oz sirloin" my fork couldn't even go through it.

Our waitress was attentive, friendly and helpful. I ordered the jerk chicken breast with fries and green beans. It was delicious! I thought about dessert but I had to go back to work and didn't want to go into a food coma. Overall great experience and everyone enjoyed their food.

It can get a little pricy, especially when you want to try all of the things, but the portions were plentiful and tasted delicious. We started with the cheese stick roulette, where they apparently prep a bunch of different cheeses for cheese sticks earlier in the week, and then just randomly grab six to deep fry when you order it. You have no idea what it is, they have no idea what it is. Pretty fun and delicious and we love cheese, so total win. We ended up cutting them in half just to check what they were before eating because the kids do not like anything remotely spicy and pepper jack is one of the cheeses, so we just had to verify it wasn't that so they could eat it and hubs and I ate those ones instead. I thought the tomato coulis it was served with was stellar, and the fruity jam was also amazing. I could not decide which one was better for dipping the cheesesticks in, and I ended up keeping both condiments when the cheesesticks were gone so I could dip my fries in them. A fantastic choice, they were both great with the fries. Which I might add, are AWESOME! They are scoopable fries. So... like a cross between potato skins and potato wedges. They were both crispy and soft and very unique and so worth the trip. They also use the cheese dip instead of just shredded cheese, so it stays creamy and gooey. All of the burgers sounded awesome and it took us a very long time to decide what we wanted (I had been looking at the menu days in advance to make sure I could decide) and we opted for the Southern Gentleman (pimento cheese, hot honey and fried chicken) and the PBJ and I can't decide which one I liked more. They were both completely different and completely delicious. If I had to make a recommendation... I'd say bring a friend, order one of each and split them like hubs and I did. Choices are for suckers. Kiddos opted for the cheese fries that he came for (which come with bacon, btw) and the kiddos cheeseburger meal, and they both loved them. The service was great too, even when this place was pretty darn crowded on a weekday lunch hour. Also, don't be fooled by the storefront driving by, this restaurant is waaaaaaaay bigger on the inside than it appears on the outside. There was plenty of seating. The music was a touch too loud, but they also had some yummy sounding specialty drinks, as well as a bunch of local beers. My kids have been asking to come back pretty much since we left the restaurant.

The staff is friendly enough, and I was able to place an order quickly. The draft beer selection is really impressive, and they offer a variety of beer styles (not just two dozen IPAs and a light beer option). Where this place fell short was the food. I ordered the Chesapeake Fish-n-Chips, and it was pretty good, but not great. The portion size was good, but the fish was a bit overcooked, and they didn't include the dill pickle aioli that was supposed to be included. I was finally able flag down a server to get it for me, but it took several minutes to arrive. I wasn't offered ketchup for my fries and ended up borrowing a bottle from someone sitting near me. The fries were good though. I had planned to order a dessert, but the server wasn't around. I ended up flagging down someone to ask for my check so I could get to my show. The place was a little busy, and I felt like they didn't have enough people scheduled. All-in-all, I enjoyed the meal and would come here again.

While I sorely miss Circuit Arcade Bar that used to be in this spot, Parlay has shown itself to be a welcome addition to the Scott's Addition family. Their happy hour prices are excellent, beer and liquor selection is quite good (Coors Banquet!), and the food is a nice bonus as well. I have only had good experiences with the service so far, and their rewards program is nice with a $5 birthday reward to liven things up. Parking in Scott's has always been a pain, though at least for Parlay they have a parking lot (though it's quite small, maybe about 12 spots, so plan on street parking). The convenience is nice if you're planning on hitting other bars too, as Strangeways is right across the street. I happened to swing by when they were setting up for a wrestling event one time, and they regularly host other events as well, so that's a nice bonus. They have a good amount of bar seating and tables, though not so much for larger groups so if you are with one you might need to split things up a bit. I intend to continue keeping Parlay as one of my top three places to grab a drink, and if you haven't tried them yet, swing by and see if they belong on your list too! Overall: 5.0 stars ---- Pros: - Great happy hour specials. - Solid food and drink selection. - Excellent service. - Cool events. Cons: - Scott's parking is always tough but at least having a lot is more than most places can say. They're worth spot-hunting for!

I ordered cheese pizza and added provolone and queso fresco. I definitely wasn't expecting the pizza to be that good so it was a nice surprise. The batter wasn't too heavy and stayed nice and crispy. The cod itself was thick and tasted fresh, like real fish. The fries were A1. My only callout with my dish was the tartar sauce. It had more of a sweet, Miracle Whip-type taste that was a little off-putting for me. It may not be that way for you. My next callout would be the timeframe in which our server got to us. I will say that there had seemed to be some confusion about assigned sections but once he got there, he was a rockstar. Suggestion: switch the lettuce that's underneath the fish with cabbage. It's holds up much better and helps with presentation as well. Their tea and lemonade mix was so good I ended up getting two cups and even took one to go. I will add that I once ordered the firecracker shrimp through DoorDash, and while I could tell it's probably great in the restaurant, it didn't travel well as takeout. Overall, I will definitely visit again.
