We ordered it and paid through Amazon, and the instructions say installation takes 45 minutes. HAHAHAHAHA. There's no way. He measured right the first time, he had the odd shaped tools needed, and most of all, he has the 40+ years of experience working the business with his wife holding down the office. Tony arrived with a co-worker, Colton, who was just as friendly and knowledgable. Between the two of them, we really got the feeling that they could take on any job from plumbing and bathroom remodeling to flooring and landscaping. We ended up getting help with our back yard (weeds, mowing, edging, pruning, general clean up), and having a good amount of flooring and some trim pieces installed. Throughout the whole process Tony and Colton were great communicators - funny, friendly guys that told us along the way what they were working on and what they had left to finish. He was hired to remove rot (which was causing a leak in my downstairs) replace some siding on the upper portion of my house, and fix a gutter. This was around May 1st, and it's been two months, I gave him a deadline, and no response. He not only didn't do the work, he actually made things worse. He actually opened up the wall, exposing the lower portion of my home to even more water damage. He also spilled paint on my deck. The only work done was one of his workers stopped by to put three 6" siding (wood boards) on a wall with 3" siding (and one of the new boards was broken, and fell out). I've done countless remodels over 30 years, and know how much materials cost. He claimed to have purchased about $75 or less of materials, then marked them up to $450. He left, never to be heard from again. Police report is coming next. Then L&I about his license. I was wrong about Kolton Knox. I thought he was going to be a stand up guy. I've never been more wrong about someone. Photo #1 shows a portion of the wall that needed fixing. The black lined boards are original 3" inch. The red lines show the 4", 5", and 6" inch boards that were added. Photo #2 shows the rot, then Photo #3 shows how much was taken away (allowing the rain to pour into the first floor)
