I have so many positive things to say about Oswalt Concrete. Jesse and crew show up on time, when…read morethey say they will, and flat out get it done. These days, it's impossible to find a crew that want to do things right, and these folks are sticklers for ever little detail. From the very beginning, Hollie was fantastic, and generated my quote in record time. She gave me a list of options, and explained what to expect as we went along with the permit and homeowner-association approval process. She's a gem, and a total rock-star when it comes time to get it done. There were no surprises, problems, or excuses. These folks know the business, quote very fairly, and do extraordinary work. The quality they deliver is uncommon, being that it's so good, and the crew is so experienced. I noticed they use a lot of new equipment too, and put a priority on safety, quality, and doing things correctly the first time. That meant a lot to me as a customer to know I wouldn't have to deal with breakdowns and excuses from using old and broken tools and gear. Start to finish, my job was done in three days. I can't say enough how happy I am with the finished product. They did a 20 x 25 brushed finish patio, and a 5 x 10 pad next to my garage. I couldn't get other companies to call me back, or worse, they'd show up and under-bid, and then expect a payment and to sign a contract on the spot. These are red-flags, don't work with people like that, you'll likely pay someone else a lot more to fix it later. I talked to 8 different companies before deciding on these guys, because they were clearly the best. Take your time, call everyone, but call these guys too... they deserve the business!

The quote was reasonable, so we had them replace our driveway that's been crumbling for a few years. They fixed all the low spots and leveled it very nicely. Cap City Paving was the only company to contact me immediately, and they maintained close, proactive communication from start to finish. They were incredibly responsive without ever feeling pushy or sales-driven. A huge, special shout-out to Nicole, one of the owners. I was having a difficult time trying to navigate the city permit process on my own, but Nicole stepped in and completely took over. When the city initially pushed back, she stayed on top of the local bureaucracy, kept me updated, and even met with me at my property multiple times to ensure everything was perfectly aligned. Because of her persistence, I ended up getting exactly what I originally wanted instead of having to completely change it and acquiesce to the city. Her friendly, helpful attitude turned a stressful situation into a breeze. The installation crew was equally fantastic. They were respectful, professional, and incredibly hardworking. When they finished the project, they went above and beyond with the cleanup, leaving my entire property immaculate. The driveway looks absolutely gorgeous, and the customer service was unmatched. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Premier Asphalt and Concrete, in our experience, was disappointing after our driveway was poured…read more During our initial interaction, they were of course responsive. We are, however, disappointed by the lack of responses to inquiries about some visibly poor workmanship at the entry/approach. My husband reached out to Gary a couple of times. He responded to texts but no site visit to address what is poor workmanship. We understood the curing process would take time, however the disappointing workmanship near the entry has not been addressed. For these reasons, we would not recommend and, can't undo our decision to go with a different contractor that did a neighbor's driveway. Very unfortunate since pre-job (contract phase) they're on point. Post job....very disappointing The "splatter" along the edge of the approach is not a good look. This isn't a curing issue, this is poor workmanship that's not going away. Was hoping it would be addressed and possibly correctable so reached out early on. The 2nd pic with straw is nearly 4 weeks later. Again, that's not a curing issue. The opposite side is smooth. That gray messy "splatter" is not good!

WORK DONE: Garage floor, driveway + apron, sections of sidewalk…read more PROS: - Started my job sooner than expected - Competitive bid - Offered "anniversary" discount - Initial work was done in a timely manor despite weather and having the city remove a tree. - Final driveway finish looks generally good CONS: - Had to get my own permit - Around 10 large 1-5" pits/holes appeared in the surface within 2-4 days of the pour. --- They did eventually patch these after multiple contacts. - Daily & final clean-up were not great. --- Large area of concrete mix was left in the yard & killed grass. - Communication was lacking. --- I typically had to initiate communication when I found something questionable. - Contract stated fill dirt would be used to fill in areas around the work, I had to remind that this needed to be done. - Caution barriers were a bit shotty - I had to keep putting the caution tape back in place. NOTES: - My neighbor had their driveway done at the same time by Bill Lewis concrete. Their work is practically flawless which, unfortunately I suppose, gave me a high bar to compare my project against. - The neighbors crew were clean & professional. Sam's crew worked quickly but were not as professional. CONCERNS: - I am concerned that the holes/pitting will result in issues after the Winter - The finish in the garage appears to have a lot of rippling (like the float skipped), concerned the finish may become dusty and start to come off. I will post an update in 6 months if any issues arise.
