The person who came out was Mario Andrino who explained everything in detail what they do if radon was detected, and said if we did have radon they would be able to take care of it. He set-up the reader in the basement and said he'd be back in a few days to see what it detected, sure enough, it showed we had radon!! He measured the basement and came up with a price, but before he gave us the price I asked if they gave any type of military discount, he said thank you for your service and yes we do give a discount. He figured the discount and put a line through the old estimate and wrote down the new price. The wife and I were pleasantly surprised by the price he wrote down. We agreed to the price and asked when they could do it and he said he'd have the guys out in 2 days. Two guys came out, introduced themselves to me and said they were there to do the radon installation. They were very courteous and respectful which I really liked, they cleaned up as they did the work and it only took a few hours. Mario came out inspected what was done and explained everything to me. Mario set up the radon detector and said he would leave it here for a couple of days to see how the new radon system was working and look at the new readings it took. When Mario came back and showed me the readings I was very happy, the radon had dropped down below what was considered safe. My wife and I would like to thank the 2 young men and who installed the system, they were very nice and courteous. Mario Andrino was very knowledgeable about radon and the equipment that was used. The quote was reasonable, so we had them replace our driveway that's been crumbling for a few years. They fixed all the low spots and leveled it very nicely.
