We bought a car and it was nothing but terrible. We need the title to register our car & pay the taxes. We are about 60 days out from purchasing our car and still don't have it and nobody can tell us why or even communicate with us. I called the bank that we got our loan through and they told us they have not been sent the title from the dealership. My wife and I have each called the dealership & the manager Ryan, left multiple messages over multiple weeks, and nobody has called us back. They just don't have any kind of customer service. Got my license plates just fine but they never filed the paperwork for my registration. I called them about it and they had some excuse that they did everything right but it just be the mistake of the Texas DOT. Wrong. I have never had a problem with the Texas DOT when I pay the registration myself. So I had to get the car inspected, pay the fee again, and finally it got registered. Also - beware this little trick - they present you with a grid of 9 possible payments, all you gotta do it pick the one you're comfortable with, right? Only problem is, if you are a halfway smart person, you realize all the interest rates on that grid are jacked waaaay up from what is appropriate for a car loan. I bet people fall for this every single day at this dealership. I got my own financing from my bank for less than half what they were trying to charge me ( my credit is around 800 btw). read more

This is a follow-up review to our 3/28 visit. Many thanks to General Manager Andrew Browning who reached out to us and completely turned a bad experience around. Mr. Browning's total commitment to guest experience is refreshing and heart-warming. He carefully listened to our feedback and put corrective actions in place immediately. He followed up on details of the vehicle repair and kept us posted with his own personal number. My wife and I paid another visit to the dealership and met Mr. Browning in person today. We are thankful to the hail damage repairs and the great help by Tyler Smith from the sales team. We are impressed by their honesty, transparency and fairness, and the full demonstration of how much Mr. Browning and Mr. Smith care about their customers (and how we were treated as guests). We are glad to report that this turn-around story has a happy ending. Today my wife and I were able to purchase the vehicle we test drove but had to walk away two weeks ago. All we have left to do is to go back and have the damaged windshield replaced (hopefully soon). We feel that Andrew Browning and Tyler Smith have won our trust back. I can no longer drive my vehicle as the dealer collected money for title and registration during the purchase but never filed for tags. The temporary tags have expired and the DMV informed me that I cannot purchase on my own, it must be purchased by dealer. My nice car is now parked in my garage in limbo. Apparently this is a common issue with this dealer as some people have been waiting since March for their tags to arrive (per DMV). I have filed a dealer complaint with the DMV and will be escalating the issue if it is not resolved ASAP. read more

BUYERS BEWARE!!! I was pre-approved by Capital One and it directed me to Texoma Hyundai because they have a 2019 Ram 1500 that I was looking for. I called the dealership to verify they had it available and requested an out the door price including tt&l. I was told that this vehicle was recently bought from auction. Once I was told the OTD price, I had them send me a Purchase Order or contract for the specifics of the deal. Once I received the purchase order I offered to put a deposit down to hold the vehicle for me because I was driving 8 hrs round trip to get the vehicle, and I did not want them to sell it before I got there. The sales manager told me I would not need to worry about the deposit and that they would not sell it before I got there. After 3 hrs on the road the GM calls me and tells me that there is a mistake and that the price that was written on the Contract would not be honored and that he would pay for my gas. That is not exactly what you want to hear when you have an offer in hand and had already driven 200 miles. I continue on to the dealership hoping that they would do right by me, but low and behold another dealership that is only trying to get you in the door with with false hopes and broken contracts. We arrive at the dealership and the manager has us wait for at least 20 minutes after knowing when we would be arriving. They tell me that the actual price is an additional $10,000 higher than I was given originally and that just so I would feel like I got a good deal they would take off $500. Again not what you want to hear when they are jacking the price up an additional 10k. They would not compromise, and their only blame was on the third party who does their pricing online. Well I am sorry, but when you outsource a third party to do work for you they are essentially an extension of your business. I shouldn't have to pay the price for their screw up. They failed to mention that the Purchase Order was filled out by two employees the salesperson and sales manager so that was not done by the so-called "third party." They also went ahead and pulled my credit score before I arrived to the dealership which knocked my credit score down 3 pts. I left without them honoring the contract that they gave me and without a vehicle. I would not give my business to this dealership in any capacity they will do whatever it takes to get you in the door and then fall short of the promises that they make to you. My wife and I purchased a 2017 Hyundai Elantra new in 2016. The sales process was as you would expect, drawn out but no complaint about the staff. Personal note, I have always appreciated Red. He has handled two of my three purchases from Texoma Hyundai and has always been honest and welcoming, while others have lied straight to my face about warranty information and tried to fraudulently keep a GAP insurance refund I was owed. But the issue that has brought me to writing one of these reviews despite the lack of time I have, is the growing frustration of the coil packs on the aforementioned Elantra. In 2018, at 28,xxx miles we had a cylinder 2 misfire CEL. Knowing enough to figure it out, I replaced the spark plugs with factory specification and moved the coil pack from cylinder 2 to cylinder 4. After resetting the codes and short time later, I received a cylinder 4 misfire code. Bad coil pack. I took the Elantra to Texoma Hyundai Service Department and relayed what I found. Unfortunately, they will only perform work based off of what their diagnostics scans show them. Being that the light was not on at the time, there was nothing they could do. So I repeated the same process, but this time obtained printouts of the CELs. But at this point we were passed the 30,000 mile electrical warranty and I had my concerns they were going to try to avoid warranty work. Not just yet. They offered up as a "favor" to replace the coil under warranty, on the account that I had previously contacted them regarding the issue. Thanks, for doing what should have been done in the first places. But furthermore, I expressed my concerns about additional coils going out in the future, as there were already growing reports from others with the same issue. Jason, head of the service department, assured me no such thing should happen. As well, they can't warranty a part that's not broken. I agreed with the second part and went on my way. 2019 6x,xxx miles, another cylinder misfire. I went through the motions and determined cylinder 1 coil was going out. I contacted Texoma Hyundai service, and with no shared concern regarding exactly what I had expressed 30,000 miles prior, they quoted $280 to replaced the coil pack. I found a Hyundai dealership in Del Ray, FL on the internet and purchased one from them for approximately $95. 2020, 9x,xxx miles, cylinder 3 misfire. I did not even perform the CEL test, did not contact Hyundai, went straight to Del Ray for a new coil. Problem fixed, for now. 2021, 118,xxx miles. Was hoping this was the last coil going out, as I recently discovered on a Hyundai Corporate TSB issued in February of 2020, that they had changed the design of the coils (all the coils that have thus far been replaced are the new design). But I was wrong, the coil that was originally warrantied at Texoma Hyundai is now bad. Leading me to believe I'm going to have this problem for the life of the car. Despite this frustration, I contacted Texoma Hyundai with a pleasant demeanor. Jason answered and I reiterated what has occurred over the years, and that it's strange that the coils continue going out at 30,000 mile intervals. He ran through the warranty explanation once again. I agreed that it's not on Texoma Hyundai to solve a growing problem with Hyundai production, but asked what can be done by Hyundai corporate. Because at this rate if I make it to 300,000 miles by my math I will have replaced 10 coils. Jason's answer, "if you make it to 300,000 miles and only have to replace coils, I'd say that's pretty good. It's a man made part, that means it's not perfect. Things go bad no matter what brand vehicle you buy." I stated, "I don't believe that's a good explanation. If I used that line in my profession, I would have a lot of pissed off customers, and out of a job." He backtracked and claimed the phone was losing signal. I finished by thanking him for the solution to my problems and that I will never do business with Hyundai again. In addition to that, I will actively try to steer all business away from Texoma Hyundai that I possibly can. The stars I did give are reserved for Red, as he is the only person I've met there that actually provides customer service. read more

Be aware they will ruin your credit report for up to two years by making multiple hard pulls (7 total for me), even when you specify one lender and use that one. Includes their own finance and Hyundai's in house. Claims their application had a blanket statement that "they are submitting a loan application for you" that makes it legal. But it sure isn't right and they still won't fix it a year later with a simple request to remove them to the credit bureaus. There was another salesperson named Zack that sits in the desk next to Bailey. He was not my salesperson but was very funny & friendly. Mario, the finance manager was very respectful in my decisions & also respectful of my time. I went back today to get the windows tinted with the Service Department & Chad was very kind, friendly & helpful. As I waited inside the dealership for the service to be completed, I encountered a VERY clean customer/coffee area & that is due to the cheerful & thorough custodian named Maria. She was very kind & helpful making my wait pleasant. I encountered Sherry when picking up my license plates, that I was surprised were already there. She was friendly & efficient. I want to say that "Hank" was the gentleman that got me the trunk tray for my car. He was so nice & told me that I could use an empty desk for my laptop so I could get work done while I was waiting. He also taped up the part that he gave me, making it easier to carry. He also offered to have it installed for me. Lastly, Jason came to give me my keys & tell me that my car was ready in HALF the time that I was originally quoted. This was a GREAT experience for something I was dreading to get done. Get what they initially tell you IN WRITING!! They are the epitome of batch-and-switch. My coworker went in after they called him and told him "they had a strong demand for his current car". I know, he fell for it. They get him into a 2018 Accent that has a sticker price of $18k. They initially tell him his payment will be $320/month and they will get him a 10% interest rate and they send him home with the car to drive for the night. When he goes back the next day his payment has magically gone up to $450/month and he has a 14.9% interest rate!! My coworker doesn't have great credit but it's not subprime in the 500's either. They completely screwed him over. Over the life of this loan he is going to pay over $31k for an $18k car. Talk about dirty dealings. I feel for my coworker because he's just a nice guy who believes what people tell him and these guys took him. Don't just walk away.....RUN AWAY!!! To the salesman who made this deal.....I hope you feel sh*tty about yourself doing people wrong. Just know that karma has a place for you and you will get what you sow. Ronnie (Sales Manager) specifically said that Mario (Salesperson) AND he had put hands on the vehicle today. We drove up to buy unless there was some glaring issue. He has saved for eight years and well...none of you could find a car that you told me you laid hands on personally. Where I am from your words are a large part of how you are judged. You failed today. You failed in every way. I spoke to Ronnie and Mario but instead was passed to Red. Red was nice and polite but you owe him because you made him look like an idiot. Your fault not his. Neither Ronnie or Mario made contact with me about this issue, instead they let Red take the hit and offer $10 in gas. If indeed this person was a sales manager, shouldn't that person be working with a customer you just disappointed. Instead you never came out of the office. If I could leave negative stars I would. Buyers beware and go ANYWHERE ELSE before you settle at this dealership. Bait and switch to the max. I fell in love with a car online and went through the finance app, spoke with a salesperson and he supposedly cleared me for financing and a monthly payment lower than I asked for. I was good to go and could come in the next day before work to pick up my car and trade in my leased car. To my surprise upon my arrival, the dealership is horrible looking from the start. Dirty carpets, water stains on the ceiling and nasty bathrooms. I should've taken that as a sign. I had an 8am appointment but my salesperson had left to pick up breakfast for his fellow employees and was late. I gave him some time because I was excited and he had been very professional and helpful up until this point. He came strolling in about 20 minutes later and told me he had something to show me, huge dent on the rear end of the car where someone who works there backed into it with another vehicle on the lot but they would fix it AND would knock some off the price. I was okay with it because it was a killer deal and low mileage and exactly what I wanted otherwise. I asked him to put the promise to repair in writing before we proceed and he agreed. When it came time to sign paperwork, not only did they not have my payment where I wanted but it took almost 2 additional hours of mess before they got it to the agreed upon monthly payment on the contract. Once the deal was finally done, they hit me with a "we can't return your lease like we said, sorry. So you'll have to come back for your car or leave your lease here until you figure out a plan for returning it". Ridiculous! I have had problem after problem with the vehicle ever since leaving that day. Heat/ac went out 2 days after purchase. No second key fob was ever given to me. Driver door wont lock/unlock unless it feels like it and the weather is right. Window isn't sealed so it leaks in the rain or when it's washed. Front suspension needs work. Thank God all of this is covered under manufacture warranty and is currently being repaired. The dealership wants nothing to do with you after you sign on the line. Wow! Waited a few days to write this review for my anger to subside. Changed my own oil and filter in my driveway at 21,000 miles. At 22,500 went to dealership to have tire rotation and fix a slow leak. Changed my oil the other day at 24,000 miles. Very hard to take off plug and noticed a blue Hyundai filter on the car. I DO NOT USE THEM! I changed the oil and put in my own filter. Called dealership and spoke to Josh the service manager and told him what had happened. He was at a loss for words. They did not charge me for oil change but I dont use that oil or that filter I use better materials. He kept saying what do you want me to do? I WILL NEVER go back. I've purchased two Hyundais here over the past 9 years and will be looking for my next one in the next 6-12 months. Unlike other dealerships (including the one across the street where my husband would buy my cars), they never asked for my husband to come in to help me buy the car. They let me purchase on my own without question. Before shopping here the first time, I went to a Toyota dealership where they wouldn't let me take a test drive without my husband. My salesman was not demeaning or dismissive of a female buyer. The finance manager gave me an excellent deal and wasn't pushy for all the extras. I still own both Hyundais and the service department is what keeps me coming back. I get my oil changed and wait inside in the air conditioning. They keep up with my scheduled maintenance. Before they change any filters or any other unscheduled maintenance, they either come see me in the showroom or call me if I didn't wait. They give me the cost before they do anything and they never surprise me with added charges. I like my Hyundais and will continue buying them but it is the service at Texoma Hyundai that keeps me coming back. They treat me well and take care of both my cars. All I can say about this car dealership is that they are awesome!! After spending two days driving all around the dfw metroplex looking for a specific car (2020 Veloster Turbo R-Spec), I was starting to get discouraged because I couldn't find one anywhere. Found out about this dealership and I live in Allen so I decided to drive up and check it out, and from the moment I got out of my car I felt welcomed and confortable. I was greeted warmly by Bailey Nixon, and throughout the whole process she was literally the best salesperson in the world. She made the whole process seamless and easy and got me the best trade-in value for my car (which was in pretty bad shape). Other MVPs at this dealership were Red, Cal and BJ!! I highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking to get a new or used car and they will have my continued business!! I would leave zero stars I could. Terrible professionalism, customer service, and unfortunately we didnt find out until after we bought a car from them. Do not use this dealership, period. We traded in our 2017 for a new 2019, 28 days later they have yet to payoff the trade in and now it has affected our credit. Informed them of this mistake 11 days ago on 12/16/19 and was told they would overnight payment for trade in and they were sorry for the oversight. Here we are 11 days later and the payoff check has not been sent. This was not a special finance deal, it was funded immediately and therefore should of been payed off immediately. I am beginning to think this is standard practice for them to screw the customer over while they sit on the money and draw interest. Worst car buying experience ever, hands down. So if you are reading this, go elsewhere and avoid the nightmare we are having to spend precious time to deal with now. Btw, they also completely botched the delivery of our car. Found this dealership through Car Gurus. Selected my car for a "no haggle" price and did "Express" buying online. Thank goodness I did not try to finance through them. When we arrived to see and inspect the car before we handed over the check from our bank, the engine was filthy and there was evidence of rodent nesting in the engine. Battery cable was gnawed by rodent showing exposed wire. Rodent droppings all over the battery and other flat surfaces in engine. We pulled out pieces of sticks and other "nesting" materials. Clearly, the dealership did not take the time to clean it up or offer a quality resale. Back rim and tire clearly had damage. That tire was actually dangerous as there was a slice on the tire wall - which is relatively thin and could have been a very unsafe situation. This whole time...the salesman said NOTHING. No, "oh I'm sorry, we must have overlooked that engine. Let me get that taken care of for you." We asked for them to replace the gnawed on battery cable, give us a new tire and new tire rim. The salesman offered to use factory electrical tape on the wire, offered a new tire and told us we would have to take the rim to get repaired in the Dallas Metroplex. They were not willing to put a new rim on since it costs them "$800-900". Bottom line: we walked out. In this day and age of instant car shopping information out there and a pretty competitive market, it was amazing at how little this delearship did to built a quality reputation in this circumstance. We left Texoma Hyundai and drove right on down to Huffines McKinney and purchased an excellent vehicle for an even better value AND had superior customer service. It's sad to think someone else is going to walk through the Texoma Hyundai door and get screwed, which is why I'm posting my review. read more
