I recently needed a set of tires mounted on some wheels for my KTM 500 EXC. After going to another shop to have it done only to be told "we have no mechanics on duty today (Saturday)" and that they needed until Mon-Tues to do it I decided to call Texas Yamaha.
Matt was polite, helpful, and told me over the phone "no sweat, being 'em in and I'll have you out in 60-90min." This was a call made from the parking lot of another place that made me feel like I was a burden, I was secondary, I was NOT a customer and that I was annoying them on their Saturday afternoon.
Needless to say when I showed up to Texas Yamaha Matt was eager to help and made me feel comfortable and like he (Texas Yamaha) actually wanted my business and that I was important. That sounds like sales/customer service 101, because it is. But, more people don't understand that than those that do. In many places these days you're just lucky that the "service provider" is there to take your money. They're all too busy to care enough and if you aren't happy, oh well, there's more of you around the corner.
Matt, the technician that mounted my tires and Texas Yamaha were outstanding. The tech even spoke to me directly and offered some insight on the best solution for balancing them. What that really means is, they cared, they did their job and they made me feel comfortable and important. Again, that's nearly unheard of these days. I can't say enough about the impression they made on me. Read my reviews on Yelp- I don't have many because there's rarely anyone worth writing a positive review for.
It was so refreshing to pay someone for a service that made me WANT to pay them and they did exactly what they said they would do, the first time. Now, I'll go nowhere else if it can be avoided. Hats off to MATT and the TECH that mounted the tires on my Tusk Impact wheels Aug 24 at about 1300. Solid folks. Thanks again and I'll see you guys soon for my second set. read more
