i haven't thrifted in a while, but coming to texas thrift rekindled my love for finding preowned gems. the place is huge and is organized by categories, but it is not color-coded. that's not a problem for me since i usually take my time to look through every item anyway. the prices are surprisingly higher than i remembered? it's not extremely expensive but they are used items, so it was shocking to see the tags. they also have a self check-out, but you don't get to check the items out yourself. a worker has to do that for you, which made no logical sense to me, but the workers are nice. i would come here again! read more

Says it's a thrift store but stuff in here is more expensive than Macy's. There is literally stuff from the dollar tree that they are selling for 229 to 79 and even upwards of five dollars. read more

Thrift Shop does not give you Store Credit when returning an Item that doesn't fit you properly. I lost $20 for not being to get Store Credit. felt Robbed and will never Shop there again. read more

One of the better thrift store in Houston in pricing, selection of the goods, and how organized and clean this place is. The store is huge and the quality of the items all seem pretty good condition. There are sales almost every days of the week. They have self check out kiosk now. read more

Texas Thrift is my go to for thrifting! The clothes are nice and don't look used at all. Almost all the clothes there are really really cheap which makes it even better! The service really helps me out when I need to check out. The one downside is that their selection doesn't have that much of a variety. Over all it is a great place for thrifting! read more

Super clean and what a great variety and stock of nice items!!! Staff was super friendly.

My wife saw a new Texas Thrift just opened so we had to try it out. Very clean and organized. They have lots of clothes, and a lot of baby clothes too. My wife found stuff for our year old granddaughter. They have some Christmas stuff and some books, but the vast majority is clothing. There are some toys too. We'll be back. read more

When the store first opened, it was great. It was clean and very organized, BUT the prices were fantastic for struggling parents. Lately though, the prices have really gone up. $3-$5 hats are now over $10 and shoes have jumped from $10-$15 to $50 with some selling at triple digits. super awesome thrift store- I feel this store has MUCH better value than Goodwill- because they have several different color discounts each day- some of their discounts are much better than Goodwill- I will say that Goodwill has better and more selection of books but that may be the only advantage they have. Extremely overpriced used clothing. Some shoes and jeans were 20 dollars. You can buy new clothes for that price. Also they do not have dressing rooms. I would suggest you wear leggings if your looking for jeans. I couldn't find any actual leather purses and the prices were pleather purses and shoes that were in poor condition were too much. Came here today Sunday October 6 and really big clean store with a variety of good deals. However I was looking at the section where they sell wigs, hair, braiding hair. I saw the EXACT SAME package of hair (same color, same brand, same length) marked at THREE DIFFERENT PRICES!! I took it all up to the register to ask the girl in which she was NOT helpful at all and pointed to some other guy (Jerald) and said "ask him ". So I inquire with him to which he says "I don't know" so basically the employees there are of no help! Just blamed it on "people in the back mark the prices." That's all I got. MAKE THRIFTING AFFORDABLE AGAIN !!! Super pricy saw some jeans that were regular af looked up the brand and saw some cheaper ones that looked so much cooler online and no it's not some boujee brand like Gucci or anything or Columbia it was just a regular brand for 26$ hell nah I know it might not seem a lot but it will pile up even if it's just 5 things and selection is not better then any other thrift store but customer service is super good love the employees but yea read more

I don't like that there is no dressing room to try on the items like most thrifts store. If you can't fit the items without trying them on, you have to bring them back for a store credit which is fine. There is only two people who have access to complete the returns or to remove items if you don't want them who aren't available all the time. I appreciate Juan and the other young lady who worked the morning of 12/6/23 and 12/7/23 to make my experience a little better. read more
