Thrilled with the service! Crew was skilled, fast and neat. Job was to take down over 60 diseased trees, trim live oaks, fertilize a Spanish oak and take out a few palms that had become overgrown. Was a muddy cold day but they kept the yard clean and the driveway even cleaner as they worked. They even took the brush I had cleared and loaded into my truck bed haphazardly and put it in with theirs for no charge. Even folded the tarp and put it back in my garage! Job took about 6 hours. Aesthetically, such an improvement! My trees no longer look like swamp monsters growing in my yard, but gorgeous, healthy oaks ready for the long hot Texas summers for many years to come. What impressed me the most, even with terrific service mentioned, was Esteban's reluctance to take out three Sago palms for environmental reasons. I so respected his reluctance (he said he had tried to get a few landscaper colleagues to come rescue them, but just ran out of time) that I paid the full price quote after he said he'd would arrange for someone to come get them to give them a new home. I paid and tipped him nicely and he even called me afterwards to make sure I hadn't made an error in my calculations (since I had used an app to pay him)! You don't find them as ethical and honest as Esteban and his guys on every corner. 5 stars! read more

Esteban and his crew are as good as it gets and once you use them, I can't imagine you would ever consider anyone else. Esteban's initial look at my live oaks was thorough and complete - we looked at my initial list of projects for over 45 minutes. He never "pushed" any work for his own profit and expansion of business. Instead, he intently listened to my very non-expertise opinions and concerns and explained how they could be addressed. We came up with an ala-carte menu of my priorities so I could adjust his work according to my priorities and budget. He was one of 4 contractors I had bid and expert knowledge - and price! - made the decision easy. The crew was efficient and hard working. I really can't believe they accomplished all of the work in that short of a time. Cleanup was outstanding. I'm booking Round 2 with him this weekend to tackle the remaining 10 live oaks. I did some research on Yelp and due to Texas Sun Tree Services having such great reviews, I decided to give them a chance to trim a large oak tree in front of my home. I phoned Mr. Esteban Rodriguez and he promptly scheduled a visit for an estimate. I found Mr. Rodriguez to be professional and knowledgeable yet personable. I also found his estimate to be fair and we scheduled the job within the next few days. Unfortunately, the job had been scheduled for a day during our recent Winter Storm so Mr. Rodriguez had to cancel for the safety of his personnel and equipment which I clearly understood. Mr. Rodriguez and his crew were able to complete the job on the first Saturday after the storm and they did an excellent job overall. What really impressed me was the fact Mr. Rodriguez initiated the contact with me during this time and I never had to contact him for a follow up/rescheduling. When Esteban arrived to provide a quote, I immediately trusted that he knew exactly what he was doing. He made recommendations based on legal/regulatory items I hadn't previously been aware of, and also based on maintaining the natural beauty of the trees, which was important to me as a customer. While there was one issue with scheduling, Esteban alerted me early and rescheduled me for two days later. His crew arrived when expected and took care of business in a really impressively short amount of time. They cleaned up everything, INCLUDING branches and small trees that we had on our property from the winter storm and hadn't been able to throw out yet. I certainly didn't expect that the crew would leave my yards cleaner than they were when they got there! Esteban was very quick to respond to my request for a free quote. He came out to my property the next day to inspect the trees that I needed trimmed himself. He was very knowledgeable about the types of trees I had in my yard and pointed out their health and what he could do to get them back in shape. He worked with my budget and we quickly scheduled an appointment to get the work done two days later. He and his crew showed up bright and early to get to work to trim two large oak trees that were out of control and to take down an invasive hackberry tree that was veering off in to my neighbors yard. We have a near 100 year old pecan that has been badly pruned over its life & had a gargantuan branch threatening our neighbor's house. I reached out to several tree services but few followed up with quotes. Esteban w Texas Sun Tree services, however,responded within minutes, was out the next morning to discuss & provide an estimate & a crew was out a few days later to do the work. They removed an almost 30" diameter at base and 70' tall branch that was only feet from the fence & neighbors house, without touching the house or fence. This company is top notch! Esteban came out to provide a quote and it was fair and competitive. He was very polite, professional, and I could tell he cared for the customer. I also had the pleasure of speaking to the crew headed by Oscar who also deserves honorable mention due to his going above and beyond during a time when I needed a fallen tree removed due to it falling on a neighbors house. Oscar told me that due to the holiday the city brush site was closed and he would have to come another day but when I explain the situation, he said, "we'll be there as soon as we can". The work consisted of clearing the junk out of the oak trees, cutting back trees that were too close to the house and removing one tree. The owner and crew showed up right on time and started work without any delays. I appreciated that! It was all about getting to work. As they worked on the trees, they were cleaning up as they progressed. When they were done, the trees looked beautiful. There was a lot activity with men working from up in the trees, clearing branches. It was impressive how they worked. Last week I had a huge tree fall on my house and needed someone here immediately to remove it before it went through the roof. I called Texas Sun and Esteban answered immediately. He was able to get there the same day to remove most of the weight of the tree off of the house. The next morning he had a crew of 4 people working to remove the huge hackberry that had fallen. I just had a GREAT experience with Esteban and the Texas Sun Tree Service team. I had a custom cut request for 2 large trees and they did a fantastic job. I had them cut the tops off yet leave part of the larger branches and cut the ends of the branches like pencils. I will be sealing the trees with a varnish and then paint the tips and limbs the color of pencils. I had a 2-ton pecan tree partially fall on my home. Esteban and his son returned my call almost immediately on Christman weekend which is unheard of. The prioritized my job to prevent further damage and completed the entire job in 1 day. Esteban provided a copy of his insurance and W-9 with no hesitation. My AC unit was about to be crushed by the partially fallen tree and Esteban had a AC guy remove and reinstall my unit to prevent damage. His crew were all professional and cleaned up afterwards. Landscape architect approved. Texas Sun Tree Services truly lives up to customer standards. Mr. Rodriguez and his crew were punctual, efficient and flexible with their time. How many times do companies bring two people to perform a six man job? This wasn't the case with Texas Sun tree services. Mr. Rodriguez brought a crew of service professionals e.g. climbers, gatherers, trimmers, loaders and rack and stackers of logs from several oak trees we had to have cut down, to make way for a new pool. We needed emergency attention as limbs were so heavy that they were drooping into the road and impeding traffic. Esteban immediately took care of clearing the problem limbs and then his team returned to complete the job the following day. Texas Sun Tree just finished trimming, shaping and cutting dead wood from our tall 20 ft mature crepe myrtles. They also cleaned up overhang limbs in the back yard. Greg and Johnny and the whole team were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They cleaned everything up and had all the right equipment for the job. I would not hesitate to recommend them. 5/11/2021 Esteban & his guys did a wonderful job of tipping/ tapping my big tree in front yard. The also removed a couple of dead bushes that did not survive the February freeze. Price was very competitive from other bids I got for less work on this tree. The team came in and cut the branches, put them in the wood chipper and cleaned up after themselves.
