Nice restaurant. This was 1st time here. We usually go to the North Plainfield location, but since it was closer to the relatives' house, we decided to come here. The service was great, and the food was cooked nicely. I would return if I were in this area again. It was nicely located on rt 9, so it was easy to get to and find. They also had 2 dinner plates in a package with appetizers, so we decided to try it. One platter with Steak and Ribs; the second with Steak and Chicken. Each Platter got 2 sides. We had corn with both, and one with fries and the other with sweet potatoes. It was nice to split the food among the 4 of us, and we all got the meat we wanted since they were combo plates and since we were there with 2 kids. Afterwards, we went to the nearby Daily Queens for desserts. Overall, the lunch was great. Also, they sell cut meats at the front, so you can bring home steak meat and cook it at home.

So enjoyed dinner here with my family. The food is always amazing, and the service was exceptionally good. Denissa provided an awesome service for our table. The peach tea and fired catfish meal with sweet potato and salad really made my day. The rolls are amazingly soft served with butter. It was very crowded, however, they know how to handle a crowd. It's best to call ahead and get on the waitlist. The ambiance is nice and good for family dining. They no longer have peanut shells on the floor, but give you sealed bags at your table and will give you one per person if you ask. We had an amazing service and will definitely be back.

Great steaks and exceptional service! Our family of 4 visited Texas Roadhouse in Old Bridge, NJ for a Sunday dinner in Jan 2025. It was our first time at this location. The place was packed but since we joined the waiting list on restaurant's webpage we got seated right away. We got delicious food and received an exceptional service by our waiter Will who was super friendly and attentive. Thank you Texas Roadhouse for yet another consistently great experience! All steaks were perfectly cooked to the level ordered! Though Prime Rib was good we found Ribeye and Sirloin to be more flavorful and juicy. We certainly recommend Texas Roadhouse in Old Bridge, NJ if you are up for good steaks, exceptional service, and all that at a very reasonable price! The dinner was unbelievable! I had the catfish meal, with rice and baked sweet potato. The waiter was very nice and efficient. The ambiance was clean and well kept. No peanuts on the floor.

Prime rib done medium-rare or up to medium is best steak here at Texas Roadhouse. Others are not bad for the price but could be a bit tough. Sides are great, can't go wrong with chilli and baked potato. Overall its good bang for your buck and portions are good.

Well done so ordered medium rare.

Next time, I'll literally just order a rack of ribs. I didn't understand why my corn sat in water. I came for Easter. Bathrooms are clean tho!

I visited Steakhouse 85 for the first time on Thursday, March 19th. We all know the food is fantastic, but what impressed me even more was the employees. When I walked in, I was greeted by the hostess, who had a big smile and bright eyes. She showed us to our table swiftly, and during our time there, her smile and warm welcome continued as she greeted other incoming diners. Our waiter appeared quickly with the first question would you like something to drink, water, etc. After the initial greeting, and now ready to take our order, he excitedly told us he had the pleasure of tasting most of the items he suggested. His excitement about the food he had the "pleasure of tasting" (his words) was apparent. Also, I had the pleasure of speaking to Monica, a manager at Steakhouse 85. She was kind, thoughtful, insightful, and well spoken. I could easily see why she holds that position and could have talked to her as I would a good friend. How a great manager like Monica gets those around them to react positively is by example; in other words, it's the ripple effect. It is easy to see that she is the type of person who, no matter what she does or where she goes in life, success will follow. Also, I want to say thank you to the owner and all the managers because hiring the right employees, from the cooks, busboys, and servers, is not an easy job in itself. The key to success is not just about the food; it's also the employees who add to the establishment's success! Great Job To All Of You! Kindness should never be taken for granted these days! Frances

Very elegant place with nice decor. Definitely a nice date night place. Had a reservation for dinner for 7 people and they were able to accommodate. This place has private rooms that would make for nice gatherings. The menu is not so expensive as you would think. I decided on the 16 ounce pork chip grilled med well. Just a little pink. I can say it was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Sweet potatoes casserole who've was so good. Sweet but not even close to too sweet. The spinach was good and I did add some pepper to them. But tasty indeed. Our waiter was really good and attentive. We were one of the first to arrive as it was a early dinner at 4:30pm. But by 5:15 it was crowded and a wait if you had no reservations. Definitely a place I would come back to. I want to try the bone in ribeye steak 14 Oz. The birthday party was really God and this made av great place to enjoy it.

Nestled in downtown Woodbridge NJ, this steakhouse is located inside of an old bank! I already knew before entering it was gonna be beautiful! We were greeted by the hostess and owner of the restaurant. They immediately said happy anniversary to us and escorted us upstairs to our table. As i thought this restaurant is stunning. Sexy dim lighting, beautiful chandelier and candelabras adorned the bigger tables. The space is huge. High ceilings and even an elevator. I couldnt resist snapping pics of the aged meat behind the glass. Every detail in this restaurant is intentional. Our waitress Danya was the sweetest!!!! She was so attentive and took time to explain the menu. She checked on us the entire evening. She didnt miss a beat. Even saw that my fork had some dishwashing spots and went to get me another. For the food, we started with fried calamari and crabcakes which were both outstanding! We ordered cocktails which was old fashioned and a bay breeze made perfectly. The main course is the reason u come here! We ordered the porterhouse for two with the truffle mac and Brussels sprouts. Steak has a really nice flavor! I didnt like the truffle mac but the brussel sprouts were delicious!! We were def full but our wonder waitress insisted on a celebratory ice cream with a sparkling candle. It was very nice! Before we left the owner came up to ask how everything was. He was a cool guy and told us a bit about the restaurant and his future expansion happening! I love that he said he use to come to the bank with his parents as a kid and now he owns a restaurant in the space....full circle moment. We truly enjoyed our time here! Thank u for making our Anniversary dinner so special. We will for sure be returning. I have to try the snapper next time!!!

We also shared an order of creamed spinach. No dessert as we were doing that at home, but the coffee hit the spot. JS is BYOB so don't forget to bring your wine. I was especially looking forward to ordering the ribeye and lit up instantly when the server listed it as one of the specials. The server shared that he would need to collect the orders for all of our courses at the same time which was fine with me. I actually had more confidence in the timing of everything for that reason. Our server had a delightful energy particularly at the beginning of our visit. After we placed our orders, everything began to fall apart. It did get noticeably busy since we first arrived, but we ultimately waited for our main entrees for over 3 hours. 3 hours. The table ordered the charred octopus and the oysters to start. The oysters hit the table fairly quickly, but then we began to gradually notice how long it was taking for the octopus to come. I had only a slither of the octopus so that I could say I tried it. Everyone at the table raved about the taste. I did, however, agree that their oysters were delicious especially when dressed with a little bit of mignonette, lemon, horseradish and a touch of Tabasco sauce. I'm excited to now report that I am a fan of fresh oysters from the east coast, because apparently the coast matters. The table also ordered the canaletto stuffed with mascarpone, parmesan and another cheese, langostines and lobster with morel mushroom cream sauce, garnished with truffles. I passed on this one also as it was too adventurous for my taste buds; although, their delicious bread and our drinks did distract me for a little while. The restaurant is BYOB, so we had our wine to keep us company while we observed other tables come and go. We eventually asked to see the manager and was told there wasn't a manager on duty which was either untrue or a very poor decision on the part of the owners considering it was a Friday evening. Having someone occasionally check in with our table may have also helped to take the pressure off of the server who may have gotten overwhelmed or decided to prioritize other tables. Having a manager offer a personal apology may have helped us feel less forgotten about. After the three hour mark, we decided this was enough. I didn't have much to eat at this point, but I wasn't at all worried initially since I was there for the main event, the ribeye. I stopped a hostess who was walking past our table and asked for the manager. We were again told the manager is not here but can be called, if needed. I simply replied, "Please do". Shortly afterwards, I noticed our server who at this time was standing by the host stand briskly walk into the kitchen and then return to our table with our plates. I sent the food back which was a decision that was supported by everyone at the table. Let me tell you, that was a difficult decision to make, but I also was ready to call it a night. Our mood had changed, and I truly felt like we were derservant of having the same experience as everyone else that night. Our server apologized for his part to play in the ordeal which I appreciated since I know his intention was never malicious, but unfortunately we had to call this night a bust. He offered us dessert on the house, and our entire meal was comped which we felt was an appropriate resolution. I ordered the Cinnamon Toast Crunch bread pudding which was a favorite. Very good. Jasper Stone is a beautiful establishment with decorative yellow and white floral arrangements throughout the dining area. It is clearly a popular restaurant and has many positive reviews. I regret that I could not have a comparable experience.

The chef and owner, in addition to other attentive staff, greeted our table and checked on us which made for a nice personal touch. I ordered the deviled eggs as my appetizer which had a small but flavorful piece of bacon on each half which elevated the taste and made for an impactful bite. I ordered the NY strip steak as my main course which was well prepared. I usually ask for steak sauce, but in this case, it wasn't needed. The flavor stood on its own, but it also paired well with their Caribbean-inspired dipping sauce. It was topped with a spicy pepper which turned the heat up too much for me. Dessert was a standout. The bread pudding was excellent, very satisfying. I actually ran out of room but wish I could've finished every last bite. Lastly, my dragonfruit/lemon/passionfruit mocktail was extremely refreshing and delicious. I believe Duke's is BYOB, so make sure you stop at the liquor store beforehand if that's your preference. Toward the end of the evening, the service wait time did start to slow down, and we weren't informed of the 90 min table time limit until we were told our time was up which felt a bit abrupt. That said, as a newer steakhouse in Metuchen, I do think it is worth the visit especially for the quality of food and atmosphere.

Service always wins in the end, and Char delivers that every time. My office is on the same street, so my wife and I are regulars. We usually walk down around 4 p.m., grab two seats at the bar, and start with a perfectly made cocktail or a great glass of wine. The happy hour specials are always interesting, rotating, and thoughtfully put together, big thank you to head chef Phil, who is absolutely amazing and a true asset to this place. The bar feels relaxed but upscale, which is rare to get right. The dinner menu is both diverse and comfortably traditional, with nightly specials that make Char feel unique rather than just another steakhouse. Tonight we kept it simple and started with French onion soup from the happy hour menu, and it honestly blew me away. It was rich, deeply flavored, and absolutely delicious, easily one of the best French onion soups I've ever had, especially at the happy hour price of about half off (we paid $5.95). We added fresh bread service (no extra charge), and it was warm, fresh, and completely worth the "cheat" on the carbs. We then split a prime rib slider special that was incredibly flavorful for something so simple, it really over-delivered. For dessert to go, we ordered chocolate Nutella chip cookies and chocolate-covered strawberries, which was the perfect way to end the meal. With two drinks, our total bill was $109, which is outstanding value for the quality of the food, drinks, and overall experience in downtown Red Bank. In my opinion, Char is still underrated and remains one of the very best restaurants in the area. Even their Caesar salad stands out, the dressing is spot-on and memorable. James the manager is an excellent asset to Char.
