The manager Tish came by to check on us, super sweet and inviting. Overall service was spectacular despite the holiday. So good. Just an amazing restaurant for good service, yummy and affordable steak. We got the 16oz ribeye and a chicken salad and it was more than enough for two hungry people and a kid. We had tons of leftovers. Steak was cooked perfectly. It was tender and perfectly medium rare! I was very impressed. The side mash potatoes came with butter and they definitely overdid it on butter.... But that's ok it was still yummy. I also love that they have nice quality booster seats for toddlers... way better than those flimsy plastic ones that they can't be buckled into. Went on a weekend and the wait times were extensive. You add your name to a waiting list, but there's no way to know how far down the list you are. There's stores nearby to help pass the time. It was extremely busy! At one point we were offered a free app to sit at the bar. We opted to wait. Our server was friendly. The service wasn't bad, but a couple of items were forgotten and I attributed that to the level of business. Once we had our order corrected, it was quite enjoyable. Texas Roadhouse never misses! This location stood out from the rest for so many reasons. From the moment I checked in my party of 5, the hostess was bubbly and welcoming. Our wait was less than five minutes, and we ended up with the most amazing waiter ever -- Tom! Tom has such a big personality and truly made our experience unforgettable. He was attentive, funny, great with the kids, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. If you visit this Texas Roadhouse, definitely ask for Tom -- he's a gem! Nice restaurant. This was 1st time here. We usually go to the North Plainfield location, but since it was closer to the relatives' house, we decided to come here. The service was great, and the food was cooked nicely. I would return if I were in this area again. It was nicely located on rt 9, so it was easy to get to and find. They also had 2 dinner plates in a package with appetizers, so we decided to try it. One platter with Steak and Ribs; the second with Steak and Chicken. Each Platter got 2 sides. We had corn with both, and one with fries and the other with sweet potatoes. It was nice to split the food among the 4 of us, and we all got the meat we wanted since they were combo plates and since we were there with 2 kids. The peach tea and fired catfish meal with sweet potato and salad really made my day. The rolls are amazingly soft served with butter. It was very crowded, however, they know how to handle a crowd. It's best to call ahead and get on the waitlist. The ambiance is nice and good for family dining. Great steaks and exceptional service! Our family of 4 visited Texas Roadhouse in Old Bridge, NJ for a Sunday dinner in Jan 2025. It was our first time at this location. The place was packed but since we joined the waiting list on restaurant's webpage we got seated right away. We got delicious food and received an exceptional service by our waiter Will who was super friendly and attentive. Thank you Texas Roadhouse for yet another consistently great experience! All steaks were perfectly cooked to the level ordered! Though Prime Rib was good we found Ribeye and Sirloin to be more flavorful and juicy. This place was amazing the food I ordered was an 6 oz sirloin steak with a loaded baked potato and the steak fries and they were amazing the food was legit the greatest thing I've had in a while so yeah food was amazing next is the service which was also amazing the staff was really nice and our waitress was probably the most chill guy we have ever met. And finally the ambiance it was amazing it really felt like you were in a Texas resturant and the music was really nice and the smell of the restaurant was amazing. Came here today for dinner and honestly I'm disappointed in their food, the only thing done well was their free bread and the way they cooked your steak if you asked for medium rare it came out medium rare as opposed to other restaurants who would over cook it for you. Several of us ordered the shrimp and I don't recommend it, it was so salty it wasn't edible. They were nice enough to recook mine when I informed them, my friends decided not to and ended up wiping down each shrimp with a tissue instead and one had to jam it into their bread to eat it like a po boy in order to eat it. I was too full by the time the food came back so I took mine to go. Their chili that I was so excited about came out barely luke warm, not sure if that's how it normally comes since it was my first time here. They do offer 10% military discount but only for up to a 4-5 of the lowest meals which didn't really make sense to us. We had to ask them since the math wasn't mathing. Had we known that earlier we would have provided the other ID's since we had a table full of officers. Servers were friendly but we had to ask several times to have the plates/ bowls taken away since we had no room to eat. She's usually satisfied with the food for special occasions. I usually get a baked potato, rack of ribs, and salad (love their ranch dressing). I'd recommend this place for a birthday since it is a 'themed' restaurant. When mom could walk she'd ride the saddle for the occasion. My family fell in love with Texas Roadhouse when we visited in PA. We figured one is as good as any other but this was not our best visit. Used to love this place but they have really gone down hill. I always got their biggest Ribeye in bone (20oz) and they keep getting small every visit. Tow came to the table and one was literally a third of the size and thickness of the other. This time I had one that easily could have been no more than 16oz. When I questioned it I got the typical shrug and don't know what to say. And don't give me that horsexxit about cooked weight and raw weight. Don't give me that trimmed weight bologna either.... The fat would have been the same size then.... And it should have been trimmed at the factory properly then before it came here. This is not typical of other TRH I have been to. Very sad read more

I took my family here 2 weeks ago on a Saturday night. We were a party of 5. We arrived at 8pm and were told that there would be at least a 20-30 minute wait and that they would text me when our table was ready. I put my name and number in and waited patiently along with many other customers. After approximately 20 minutes I noticed that another party had been seated before we did, despite the fact that this party had arrived afterward. I went up to the receptionist area and inquired about this. Apparently they had taken my phone number down incorrectly. I understand that mistakes happen but they did nothing to "right" their mistake. Rather than seating us next, we were told that we still needed to wait. So disappointed! I usually go to the one in Holmdel, but I was meeting people by the one on Route 9 in Parlin and decided to eat there. We arrived at 5:45 pm on a Wednesday evening and it was pretty crowded. It was about a 5 minute wait before being seated. Our waitress Danielle was really nice. We placed our orders and waited for our meals. The salads arrived quickly and were very cold and tasty. Unfortunately, it went downhill from there! When our food arrived, I took a bite of my shrimp, and felt it was loaded with too much seasoning which made it a bit spicy for me. The more frightening part was when I cut into my 6oz sirloin and took a bite. To my horror, it tasted old and moldy as if they had left it out for a few days at room temperature. I immediately spit it out and spoke to Alison who I believe was an assistant manager. She was not very professional and had a condescending attitude with me. She asked me what was wrong with the steak, and I repeated that it tasted old as if it was left sitting out for days. She rolled her eyes and told me it was "just probably undercooked for you", and then asked me to move the steak on a small plate so she can take it back to cook more. I said absolutely not, it was cooked medium which was the way I asked for it. I then explained that my daughter's steak was fine. She took my steak and walked away. We then waited for approximately 18 minutes before another manager brought a new sirloin for me to eat. This manager was very kind and apologized for the issue and spoke to the cooks in the back about making sure meat doesn't sit out. The loaded sweet potato was bland as well. Oh, Texas Roadhouse, what has happened to you? In the past, we could count on a ten out of ten star experience every time. Lately, not so much. The salads and potatoes were good, but the steak was sub par. Maybe the chain has cut back on the quality of meat they use due to inflation etc. We ordered a six oz and an eight oz fillet and neither tasted very good. The six oz didn't even resemble the fillet I selected. It looked like a sirloin, but the manager insisted that it was a fillet. Our waitress was unenthusiastic and a rare site tableside. We had to ask multiple times for drink and bread refills, and eventually someone else brought these items to us. To their credit, the manager did deduct the "sirloin masquerading as a filet" from the bill, but that's not the outcome I really want. I want a fantastic steak at a good price. Texas Roadhouse used to deliver that. I doubt that they can anymore. read more
