We have been here several times. Went last night for hubby's birthday. It was very crowded and we had to wait about 20 min. I did reserve a spot online prior to arrival and we were seated at the time we were given online. Service was a bit slow but it was very busy. We didn't arrive until after 8 and I didn't think it was going to be that busy. Daughter had the chili which she said was kind of spicy and she doesn't mind spicy. I had the catfish, which was good. Hubby had the steak and shrimp combo. Steak cooked longer than he wanted and he requested mushrooms and they forgot. Clean and a little loud but not unbearable. We stopped in on Tuesday for a 6pm dinner and were surprised how many people were there. We were greeted by the hostess, and seated within 5 minutes. Kate, our server, was very nice. She quickly got us our drinks, and took our order. It was a bit difficult to hear my husband speaking because of how loud some people were talking. The rolls were nice and hot, which allowed the butter to melt right on. The house salad was very good, but needed a bit more dressing. The steak was also very good, but was a little overcooked for being "medium". The mashed potatoes were the best! They were packed with flavor, and didn't need any salt or butter on them. So good. Just an amazing restaurant for good service, yummy and affordable steak. We got the 16oz ribeye and a chicken salad and it was more than enough for two hungry people and a kid. We had tons of leftovers. Steak was cooked perfectly. It was tender and perfectly medium rare! I was very impressed. Texas Roadhouse never misses! This location stood out from the rest for so many reasons. From the moment I checked in my party of 5, the hostess was bubbly and welcoming. Our wait was less than five minutes, and we ended up with the most amazing waiter ever -- Tom! Tom has such a big personality and truly made our experience unforgettable. He was attentive, funny, great with the kids, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. If you visit this Texas Roadhouse, definitely ask for Tom -- he's a gem! Our food came out hot and fresh -- the steak was cooked perfectly, prices were fair, drinks were great, and the atmosphere was lively as always. Went on a weekend and the wait times were extensive. You add your name to a waiting list, but there's no way to know how far down the list you are. There's stores nearby to help pass the time. It was extremely busy! At one point we were offered a free app to sit at the bar. We opted to wait. Our server was friendly. The peach tea and fired catfish meal with sweet potato and salad really made my day. The rolls are amazingly soft served with butter. It was very crowded, however, they know how to handle a crowd. Nice restaurant. This was 1st time here. We usually go to the North Plainfield location, but since it was closer to the relatives' house, we decided to come here. The service was great, and the food was cooked nicely. I would return if I were in this area again. It was nicely located on rt 9, so it was easy to get to and find. They also had 2 dinner plates in a package with appetizers, so we decided to try it. One platter with Steak and Ribs; the second with Steak and Chicken. Each Platter got 2 sides. We had corn with both, and one with fries and the other with sweet potatoes. It was nice to split the food among the 4 of us, and we all got the meat we wanted since they were combo plates and since we were there with 2 kids. The place was packed but since we joined the waiting list on restaurant's webpage we got seated right away. We drove 1 h to get there and we ordered 16 oz sirloin steak medium well got the photo and rice and vegetables the works and shrimp any ways. The meat was very chewy i could not chew I had to spit most of it out. And I wish I sent back the food because it is not cheap the 3 of use force out self to eat it. Hey hey Adventurers! I usually order takeout for special occasions for my mother since she's no longer able to walk. She loves the rib tips and loaded baked potato, with corn or broccoli. She's usually satisfied with the food for special occasions. I usually get a baked potato, rack of ribs, and salad (love their ranch dressing). I'd recommend this place for a birthday since it is a 'themed' restaurant. When mom could walk she'd ride the saddle for the occasion. Came here today for dinner and honestly I'm disappointed in their food, the only thing done well was their free bread and the way they cooked your steak if you asked for medium rare it came out medium rare as opposed to other restaurants who would over cook it for you. Several of us ordered the shrimp and I don't recommend it, it was so salty it wasn't edible. They were nice enough to recook mine when I informed them, my friends decided not to and ended up wiping down each shrimp with a tissue instead and one had to jam it into their bread to eat it like a po boy in order to eat it. I was too full by the time the food came back so I took mine to go. Their chili that I was so excited about came out barely luke warm, not sure if that's how it normally comes since it was my first time here. They do offer 10% military discount but only for up to a 4-5 of the lowest meals which didn't really make sense to us. We had to ask them since the math wasn't mathing. Had we known that earlier we would have provided the other ID's since we had a table full of officers. Servers were friendly but we had to ask several times to have the plates/ bowls taken away since we had no room to eat. My family fell in love with Texas Roadhouse when we visited in PA. We figured one is as good as any other but this was not our best visit. The steak was very fatty and the sides were excessive in their oil content. The best part of our visit was probably the server and all of the decor. If it would have been cooked correctly, this place does offer good value. When they mess your steak up, it's not so great. I could have cooked a better steak on my electric stove. Used to love this place but they have really gone down hill. I always got their biggest Ribeye in bone (20oz) and they keep getting small every visit. Tow came to the table and one was literally a third of the size and thickness of the other. This time I had one that easily could have been no more than 16oz. When I questioned it I got the typical shrug and don't know what to say. And don't give me that horsexxit about cooked weight and raw weight. Don't give me that trimmed weight bologna either.... I took my family here 2 weeks ago on a Saturday night. We were a party of 5. We arrived at 8pm and were told that there would be at least a 20-30 minute wait and that they would text me when our table was ready. I put my name and number in and waited patiently along with many other customers. After approximately 20 minutes I noticed that another party had been seated before we did, despite the fact that this party had arrived afterward. I went up to the receptionist area and inquired about this. Apparently they had taken my phone number down incorrectly. I understand that mistakes happen but they did nothing to "right" their mistake. Rather than seating us next, we were told that we still needed to wait.
