Texas Roadhouse in Lake Park Florida
    Kathy Hyatt Realtor ®.

Looking for a Restaurant that is Affordable, Fun, Lively and Family Friendly? Texas Roadhouse is the place to come and check out. Texas Roadhouse is a franchise chain, and this establishment location is in Lake Park Florida off of Congress Avenue just north of Blue Heron Boulevard. Great High Energy Steak House with a Country Western Texas décor. How does the saying go... "Everything is Bigger in Texas" ... well this place has great cuts of Steaks, generous portions , Great Family Meal Deals and Large Bar with multiple TV's all playing a variety of sports. From the moment you walk the hostesses greet you with a Howdy and you quickly smell the sensational aroma of baked rolls. Oh, how I love Texas Roadhouse Rolls - served warm with soft cinnamon butter. I just got to get that recipe!! Birthdays are Special here for both Young and Older. Let your server know and soon you will hear on the loudspeaker "Attention Texas Roadhouse! We've Got a Birthday in the House and all the servers and staff gather around and sing break out the barrel saddle for pictures. I just love it!! Texas Roadhouse is a local favorite that I highly recommend.

You honestly can't go wrong here. Great prices for the food portions. This location is new to the location, I've been a few times since they opened and they stay busy or with a steady flow. I do think they can do better with the amount of time it takes to get your drinks when the order is taken, or maybe just bring out waters with the bread. Outside is well lit, clean and has ample parking. Inside is also clean and well decorated. Depending on the time you go or how long you stay you may be able to see the staff line dance.

Ambiance - Texas Roadhouse baby! It was crowded, loud (but not as loud as normal), and the country music was blasting. Just like I like it. This location is fairly new so it feels clean(er than the southern blvd location). We waited a while before someone came to our table to take our drink orders. We waited and waited. I don't know what's going on in chain restaurants these days, but the time between getting seated and having the drink order taken is nuts. Makes me wanna leave, but I'm usually hungry when I come to restaurants, so there's that ‍ lol **apparently they (staff) mixed up the table because they kept trying to give us another table's drinks (twice, same drinks) and they tried giving that table our food when our food came out.** Food - bread was immaculate as always Tater skins app - Nothing special. Just as advertised. Hot, cheesy, bacony and splayed out like petals. Steak (16oz ribeye) - so small we thought we could share but that was not a safe assumption. It was okay. A bit overcooked probably cause it was so thin. Veggies were pretty good. Yet another experience where I'm left asking why lol but I'm leaving full. Another review giving it to you straight no chaser! Enjoy!

First time visit to Texas Roadhouse was wonderful. The customer service at this location is exceptional. The staff really took the time to make sure we enjoyed our dining experience. The food was cooked perfectly & just what we needed. The drinks are strong & tasty. We will be back.

I wasn't sure exactly what rating to give. In some ways this place is worth 5 stars. Why just 2? Because every time I come there is someone soliciting for money at the front door. Sometimes they are very aggressive. If I want to donate to some cause I'll do so in my own way and own time. Who knows if these money grubbers are even legitimate. Git rid of the beggars.

The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance--fun and laid-back, but with a touch of elevated Southern charm. The staff is always warm, friendly, and accommodating, and they consistently make us feel welcome. Their specialty cocktails are excellent--creative, well-balanced, and worth a visit all on their own. We're planning to return this Sunday for their jazz brunch, and I'll update this review afterward. Looking forward to seeing how Sassafras delivers in the daylight with live music!

You can tell the kitchen cares about ingredients and quality--from the first bite to the last. We ordered the burger, a fresh seasonal salad, and a few selections from their oyster menu, which is now one of my favorites in the area. We also discovered they have a happy hour menu with a great variety of options--definitely coming back to explore more of that. Sassafras strikes the perfect balance between Southern charm and modern dining. Whether you're here for cocktails and oysters or a full dinner, you're in for something special. Highly recommend!

12:30om, 3/18/2026…read more Ambience = Steady, lunch crowd in the bar. Yet not phonetic or chaotic. Good, chill vibe. 4-5 high top tables for two. At the bar- nice personal space and hooks for purses. Nice place to perch my feet and store my obnoxiously long golf umbrella. Perfect atmosphere for a chilly, rain date lunch with spouse. Balance of business professionals, "ladies who lunch", and a few couples. The bar reminds me a of nicer Las Vegas resort hotel bar. One TV showing Golf TV. Food = We've eaten at J.Alex since their soft open moons ago. The dishes are always consistent quality. Today hub's was jonesing for a French dip. I was craving their Nashville hot fried chicken sandwich. We both order their shoestring fries. We're slowly enjoyed each other's company and our lunches. We immensely enjoyed our meals. Service = Good. Our bartender didn't offer his name, and we weren't on our game to ask his name. However, he did a good job. He quickly came over and put down black napkin placemats with napkin rolled utensils and offered water while we skimmed the menu. Beverages were served quick. Food order quick and complete. We never had to ask for extra sides as he brought them all out with the meals- ketchups (If you like an abundant serving, ask when you place your order. They use small 2 oz stainless steel ramekins.), horseradish sauce, a side of blue cheese (to dip my fries in ), and my Nashville hot sauce on the side. Check came quick too. We ask and learned that they do not offer a Happy Hour. However, they offer very large pour martinis with a side car waiting for you for the price of one. He said late afternoons they have very happy and loyal regulars! We've been dining at "J.A." since their soft open many moons ago. They have always offered well trained staff. We've been here as parties of two, parties of up to 8, and as times with infants, to toddlers, to elementary school age peeps to seniors who many need a little extra consideration with seating. J.Alexander's has always offered great service. However, for some with low vision may find the back of the restaurant a little dark. Bathrooms are clean. There is an outside, screened over bar area as well. My extra bullet points: Value = Yes! High quality, consistent food, great staff and fair price for the experience. The BIG question: Will we return? Yes! We are every other month "regulars". During COVID, they were able to pivot their business to keeping their doors up keeping people employed and offered service to the community. HIGH GIVE! We'll be back. Cheers! Tip: Be sure to make reservations especially during holiday weekends, PGA golf classic weekends and "Season" for tables. If they're booked, Bonefill Grill is directly next door as "back up". Get there early for parking as the lot fills up fast for dinner with several restaurants sharing the same lot. Perfectly located between 95 and TPK, for family dinners if coming from PSl or South county or Broward.

Also a burger and a pasta dish. The filet was delish. The special was ok. Very salty but expected. The burger was disappointed. It stated some kind of onion jam. Well it was drowning in it. It was on the top and bottom. It leaked off the page. We cut it into fours to all enjoy it. (their style is family) None of us ate it. Our sides were mashed potatoes (delish) and potatoes braavas, the truffle sauce was offensive for the whole table. One of the guys at the table liked it but still thought the smell was just as strong and would have wanted just truffles or not any sauce at all. Dessert we had lemon tarts, cheese cake and German cake. The cake was inedible. It was hard as a rock and stale. The tarts were delicious and so was the cheesecake. I won't go back but it's worth trying.

My biggest gripe with this restaurant is that the service to me didn't match the ambiance or the prices. We had a reservation and still had to wait almost 30 minutes before we were seated. Our waitress was good, but extremely slow to the point that it ended up being a two and a half hour dinner. Which seems a little nuts for me. I'd definitely visit again especially for the au poivre sauce it was delicious. I just hope the service from the time you arrive gets better.
