We tried this one because it's close to home and had great reviews! Overall, there was a lot to be desired but the food was good! There aren't a ton of great authentic French options around, so this one scores points for being one of them :) Our wait staff was quick, kind and always kept our glasses full. As for the ambiance, I got a mixed impression. The menus, prices and decor lean into fancy authentic French with from scratch cooking, but the music was a combination of 80s pop, classic rock and some other very bright songs that felt like they belonged in a bar rather than in a restaurant like this. Although we didn't drink, a couple tables around us asked for 5-6 specific vintages of wine, and they were out of all of them. I think they settled for Champaign! I didn't order any appetizers and just ordered the lamb on special for that night. It was good, not spectacular but good. Cooked perfectly, and the sauce was from scratch but left so much to be desired. It was a red wine shallot reduction that pared well with the mash, but was a bit watery and lacked depth and savory notes the lamb would love to be coated with. I will say, veggies were buttered and cooked perfectly ;) Glad we stopped by, but likely won't be back unless we want good French food and really want to hear Michael Jackson at the same time!! read more

A nice, comfortable bistro. The staff is wonderful - our server, Kyler, was warm and friendly. She made good menu suggestions and came by several times (without hovering) to check on us. The manager was equally terrific; and also checked on us. The ambitious menu is broad and deep. We had trouble choosing dishes and decided to share in order to sample more of the menu. The wine list is equally as impressive, with many great choices available by the glass. The food was a bit "iffy." Everything was perfectly cooked. However, everything was underseasoned. The Escargot, although nice and tender could have used much more garlic, salt and pepper. The Lamb Shank (a large, tender and perfectly fired portion) had almost no taste and the perfectly cooked Beef Wellington was equally bland. That's really too bad, because they obviously used high quality ingredients and ambitious recipes. My only thought is that the bland seasoning may have been intentional given the older crowd of diners. Bistro is worth a visit. read more

Bistro, oh Bistro! You have so much potential to be a wonderful dining establishment. I'll start with the pros- 1. The space is beautiful. The ambiance feels elegant. Fresh cut flowers on each table, etc. It was a wonderful feeling walking inside (the outside area is gorgeous as well). 2. The service was good. No complaints there. Our server, Arielle was attentive and she explained the specials well, etc. Now for the cons- Appetizers: Escargo and Duck Spring Rolls Escargo came with no bread or crackers or puff pastry or anything. Just the escargo. That was weird. The Duck Spring Rolls has ground duck that has the texture (almost) of a pate. I was expecting shredded duck meat and I was disappointed (To be fair, Arielle did not recommend this appetizer and I should have listened to her). Entrees: Vegetarian, Scallops w/Pasta and Lobster Cream Sauce, Ribeye w/x2 baked potato Ribeye was excessively fatty. Scallops were cooked perfectly, but the pasta and lobster cream sauce seriously lacked flavor. Vegetarian meal was an odd concoction. There was half of a portobella mushroom, buried under some fettuccine pasta with tomato sauce, and there were some boiled broccoli and boiled carrots on the plate. Super mix matched. Dessert: Chocolate souffle, Bread Pudding I realized that I'm not a souffle person. I'll just leave it at that. The bread pudding was mid. It was luke warm, and over cooked. Came here with a big group of 13 people. The place was packed -- inside & outside!! The place is cute and cozy inside. Outside is very pretty too. Our waitress was sweet, but we were there for so long -- about 3 hours. Apparently if some people order appetizers, the rest have to wait to get their main entrees even though not everyone ordered an appetizer. It took ridiculously long for the food to get out because of this I guess and I watched tables around me who got seated after us get their food first. The food was yummy though and had good flavors. We just kept asking ourselves how many more bread baskets can they give us? Lol. The waitress apologized for the wait even though it wasn't her fault and owners told our friends sorry too. My only complaint was that they sat us near the office which was very distracting every time one of the staff opened the door as it was left ajar. We had gotten a gift card and I'd never been so I was really excited about giving this place a shot. They have a ton of both indoor and outdoor dining. The area the restaurant is in reminds me of Hilton Head , if you've ever been- very quant and charming. We made a reservation for 7:15pm on a Saturday and were quickly seated when we arrived. They immediately brought us warm bread with butter and liver pate. (Loved it). We started with a cocktail - they have a pretty solid cocktail/martini menu. For an appetizer - we had the duck spring rolls / they came with two and hoisen sauce. For dinner, my fiancé obsessed over the beef Wellington so he had that, (and a side of mushrooms) and I ordered the bistro stuffed chicken. The chicken was good, a little dry for me, so our amazing waiter (David I think) was so kind to get me a side of the sauce. I loved the cabbage, with the extra sauce and chicken. The twice baked potato was okay. I think I would do the mashed potatoes next week. Place itself is beautiful. The service was incredible! Our waiter was awesome. This was my favorite spot for years. It is still very good but not as it once was. Like me The outdoor bar was always great. They expanded the bar but it is rarely open. Too bad. The menu is good but certain classics, such as the Caesar salad, aren't what they once were. Now it's served in a bowl and is a chopped salad which is soggy. The other menu items are very good. They dropped the lollipop lamb chops from the app menu and relaxed them with BBQ pork chops. Florida is not a BBQ place. And these chops don't compare to the earlier version. The atmosphere is relaxed but upscale. It's very comfortable with a lot of outdoor dining. The staff is very good. read more

Outdoor patio surrounding a fountain, white tablecloth, fabulous outdoor bar, and an indoor bar with high tops. They also have a great happy hour, and the bars have plenty of TVs! The servers are always kind, and the food is delish - I love the French onion soup when I'm not too hungry, the lamb is incredible, and the charcuterie is gigantic. We ordered the soufflé for dessert - they pour chocolate sauce into the pastry for you and the presentation is lovely! read more

Delicious, delicious food, need I say more? We have been looking for a nice restaurant and happened upon Bistro as they serve beef Wellington, a family favorite. We came for my mom's birthday and have been back multiple times since! Everything is always delicious, from the beef Wellington to the snapper in parchment, the appetizers are always good and the chocolate soufflé is the PERFECT way to end a meal! Everything is fresh, flavored well and down right tasty. The staff is so friendly and truly wants you to have a wonderful experience. For my moms birthday our waitress recommended the chocolate martini and it was delicious; it's now a staple for a visit to the Bistro. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating and truly create an oasis in their outdoor patio even though the location is in a strip mall basically. I wanted corned beef and cabbage for St Patrick's day but I didn't plan ahead. Despite its name Bistro is every bit an authentic Irish Pub. My guess is they call it Bistro so they can charge premium prices. When I called on St Patrick's day they were slammed and didn't do take out but they told me they would have corned beef and cabbage next day. I sat at the bar, it wasn't busy inside but very busy outside, it was a perfect Florida evening weather wise. I immediately ordered the corned beef and cabbage and it may have been the best I've had. I try to have it at least once a year and I truly enjoyed it. I met some nice people at the bar. My only surprise was the bill, $38 for Corned Beef. My bill with a Guinness was $60 with tip. A little expensive but I would certainly visit again. read more

What a great meal!! Than again everything about Bistro we loved from the moment we walked in. Cute outdoor area and what a friendly greeting walking in. The bartender was amazing, everything you'd expect in a local restaurant. Her mojito's were on point and try the Goldschmidt Cabernet Sauvignon, delicious! When we sat down we were greeted by Alex an amazing waiter with real great people skills. He was really great recommendations as well as service. My husband ordered a gin and tonic. He didn't like the taste. Instead of them just switching out his drink, they actually took the time to find out the tonic water needed to be replaced and comped us a drink. Which was unnecessary but so kind. You can sit at the bar and have a meal or go outdoors for dining as well and of course the dining room as well. Now let's talk food! If you do not check out the French onion soup, that would be quite the mistake. It is SO GOOD!! New York strip steak was amazing and cooked exactly to perfection. My husband had the fish and chips which he said was very good. You have the choice of ordering a 3 course meal which if you are getting a starter and dessert, than this is perfect for you. The chocolate soufflé is cooked to perfection and absolutely amazing! It's served with a side of chocolate and whipped cream. It is enough where 2 can share. My boyfriend and I thought our Mother's Day reservations with the family was for the bistro so when we were the first ones to show from our party they didn't see our names on the list but they were still going to accommodate our party of 12! While we were waiting for the rest of the party we sat at the bar, the bartender was super fun and helped me pick out a drink, that was amazing by the way (highly recommend the bees knees) anyways as we were sitting at the bar we get a call from the rest of the party come to realize our reservation was not for the bistro but for a different place! We had dinner here last night with another couple. We asked for separate checks. We got one check for $155.15. So, we asked our waiter, Ivan, to split it 50/50. We then each got a bill $101.00 ! When brought to the attention of the waiter, he said he rang up another tables bill. This wasn't true as our bill showed exactly what the 4 of us had for dinner. We were scammed. Beautiful venue, including an adorable seating area around a fountain outside. The menu offerings are a bit unimaginative. I had a lovely piece of salmon which was served with a bit of mango garnish and nothing else but a scoop of rice. My friend had a pork chop, which was generously portioned and well executed, but served with only a 1/2 of twice baked potato. While the ingredients are high quality, the preparations just feel a little old school, like a 90's menu. No obvious herbs, innovative fusion flavors, or inventive sides, etc. So if you like simple American fare in generous quantities, this will be a good fit for you. The one downside to the evening was our server. She was clearly cranky and somewhat uninformed, which didn't start the evening well. For the price point, the service should at least be friendly. Searched through Yelp for a place that gets good reviews and delivers... We scored here! We ordered a caesar salad to start. Lettuce was super fresh, dressing was good and loved the whole anchovies. A lot of places don't get this salad right, they do. For the entrees we got the chicken breast and the fish and chips. Chicken was cooked perfectly, not dried out at all. Really enjoyed the fish and chips. Nice crisp, not soggy at all. All of this held up great for the delivery as well. Haven't been to the Bistro in a long time...we came tonight and it was exactly as we remember it. We were pleasantly surprised that it was exactly as we remembered it. Everything from the appetizers, our Entree and the Soufflé were amazing...and our server Kelly was so sweet and very accommodating. This was only our 2nd time out to dinner since self-quarantine in early March and Bistro was the perfect venue! Long overdue & much needed. We Noelle & Steve-O for an superb meal; 2 had Beef Wellington, 1 had Seared Scallops and I had a classic 8 oz Filet Mignon (med-rare cooked time perfection) w/ Hollandaise sauce and a potato side dish.
