Which is just a normal side salad, with what seems an endless choice of house made dressings. The first bite of my steak washed away any misconceptions I had if the place! Everything was delicious and sitting at the bar you get a good conversation if Jean is there. Adding the side of shrimp completes the meal. They are perfectly cooked and the flavors I have tried so far are delicious. Now i frequent Al Pattis and order the same thing every time. After being there a few times Jean remembers you and you always have a great conversation with your awesome meal. You can't judge a book by its cover. And in this case it's character that Al Pattis has, along with the best steak in town!
